Season's greetings to all my cerb friends!
VedaSloan replied to Cato's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Happy Holidays everyone! I'll probably be around on CERB quite a bit because I'm at my parents until the 27th. Nothing much else to do. Haha. Movies, or internetz, those are your choices. Or Civ 5 all night. -

Ask Service Providers Question Thread
VedaSloan replied to Origin's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I don't care how old you are (provided you're legal) as long as you are respectful. 1-Is humour a turn on? Abslutely! Guys who can make me laugh can get me to do just about anything :) 2-What is a good way for us to break the ice if needed? Tell a joke! 3-What is expected if you go past your time agreed on if you are both into deep conversation? On the whole, I'm not too much of a stickler about this sort of thing, though I do appreciate it if you at least offer to pay for the extra time. 4-Is a last minute request a turn off? My feeling on last minute requests is that (and I may be wrong) those types of guys will see whoever happens to be available (for the most part). I would prefer someone who definitely wants to see me and not just because I happened to be the only one available when you called. 5-What is your fav charity? While neither of these are charities per se, I still support them as much as I can: POWER (Prostitutes of Ottawa Gatineau Work Educate Resist) and PCCO (Pro-Choice Coalition of Ottawa) and of course, the Humane Society. 6-Without names, do you have a favourite client you would like to see more often? Hell yeah :) 7-Do you work if you get a cold? I do not. No point in making someone else sick. What do you find attractive in a man? Deep voices, confidence, authority, and a great ass. Does the perfect man exist? No one is perfect. But there are a few who come close. -
I detest the term BBW, but not because of what it stands for, I'm just not a fan of acronyms in the first place. I could be considered a BBW, but I prefer voluptuous, or zaftig.

"Non-pro" and judgment of sex work
VedaSloan replied to Megan'sTouch's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Maybe I missed this somewhere, but in this entire thread did anyone bring up feminism at all? So why would anyone think we're a bunch of "feminist prostitutes hating men and making a living off them"? And uh, I don't care who you studied that pyramid with, it very clearly states that "sex" is a physiological need. It may not say "sex for sale" but EVERYONE on earth requires sex and sexual intimacy, which is why prostitutes exist in the first place. So that any person, provided they are respectful, can get laid. -
"Non-pro" and judgment of sex work
VedaSloan replied to Megan'sTouch's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've replied to a few of the guys posting in the casual encounters section on CL looking for "non-pros" and the majority are offering super cheap amounts--probably because they think that some naive student is going to think that 50 bucks is a lot of money. -
International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers

Awww you even found our poster! Sorry, I'm just totally in love with the POWER logo. It just looks so nice on posters and banners and whatnot. -
I would go with Cleo Catra, she most closely fits the emo/punk profile, besides myself of course :) But I think you're going for more of a petite woman, in which case, Cleo is your woman. Lots of tattoos, though no piercings that I know of.

I don't see why not. It's something you do on your own time for pleasure and relaxation. Sounds like a hobby to me.

What if it was someone you knew?
VedaSloan replied to Dr. Freeze's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It happened to me once last year. It was a guy I'd had a one night stand with back when I was at Laurier. He didn't seem to mind. -
Willing to bargain... Are you?
VedaSloan replied to Grass_Hopper's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
Uneducated? Give me a break. I've got two undergrad degrees already, I'm almost finished a third, and I'll be headed to graduate school in a year. Have you ever considered that we CHOSE this profession, from a myriad of other professions as the best choice for us? As for the thread, negotiating the rate not only makes you look like a cheap asshole, but it tells me that you have zero respect for me. If you can't afford my rates, you've got two options: see another provider with lower rates, or save up until you've got enough to see me. End of story. -
Red Umbrella Day
VedaSloan replied to Shift Program's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
There is a vigil in Ottawa to commemorate Dec. 17 at 530pm at the Human Rights Memorial. November started a thread about it entitled "Dec. 17, 2010 in Ottawa." Come out and show your support! -
December 17th, 2010 in Ottawa
VedaSloan replied to TGirl-Kay's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Woot, I'll be there. With my red umbrella! -
I am a little disappointed to learn that this was not a thread about the David Lynch series, "Twin Peaks." Alas.
-
Well it was only a matter of time before he got caught. I mean, who keeps detailed spreadsheets outlining your crimes?

I find it's guys who were trying to see me but who I refused who then turn around and try to insult me by calling me fat. Even if this wasn't the case, it's not called for. You are luscious!

Favourite/Memorable Movie Scenes
VedaSloan replied to Andee's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I enjoy the excellent head-smashing scene at the end of Irreversible. Also, the part where Zombie Mom's ear falls into the custard in Dead Alive. Or the ninja priest in Dead Alive who claims he's "kicking ass for the Lord." Or the part after he becomes a zombie and has sex with a zombie nurse. Really any scene in Dead Alive. Um, also because I was not supposed to know about it and thus it became this sort of naughty, taboo scene, the whole leg-crossing and uncrossing scene in Basic Instinct, where Sharon Stone flashes everyone her kitty. I was nine at the time. -
When will you die?
VedaSloan replied to Megan'sTouch's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
83.4 baby! This means I have approximately three years of heroin use, unless that kills me early. Related sidenote: I plan to try heroin if I live to be 80. I figure, at that point, why the hell not, I've lived a full life. -
Am I expecting too much?
VedaSloan replied to mike-su's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
My only concern in terms of advertising is how the provider in question is presented. I feel that some of the agencies advertise their providers in a way that is detrimental to the provider and may attract a type of clientele she doesn't want. -
If you don't like it MOVE
VedaSloan replied to Apex2006's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Winter sucks. I hate winter. I am moving as soon as is feasible. Though, truthfully, my reasons for moving have nothing to do with winter and everything to do with Ottawa being a giant pile of suck. -
would you stop this?
VedaSloan replied to Loralee Reach's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm not trying to start an argument, but my point was that the dangers associated with sex work are not inherent to sex work. To quote Challenges: Ottawa Sex Workers Speak Out, "It is not that the challenges identified in this report are inherent to sex work; it is the way our society chooses to regulate the trade, which is informed by stigmatic assumptions and the 'discourse of disposal' (Lowman, 2000); which are in turn legitimated by the laws that are its embodiment." (p. 112) I'm not saying that fears are unfounded, just that what you fear is a result of the law and associated stigma, not the profession itself, as would be the case of an Alaskan crab fisherman. -
I fantasize about that perfect blonde is she here ?
VedaSloan replied to oneONone's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Try Sin Cindy. I think she meets your criteria. http://www.sincindy.info -
Just keep in mind, not all undergrads are 19 and 20 somethings. I'm currently an undergrad and I'm almost 28. The power differential you speak of doesn't exist if you started fucking said prof before you were even a student. Yanno?

Ask Service Providers Question Thread

I prefer incalls, despite the current illegality, as I like being on my own turf. I can implement whatever safety measures I like, I know where everything is. I do outcalls on occasion, but only to reputable hotels. As I was already sleeping with about the same number of men for free, I thought it made sense to start charging. Plus, I didn't feel like learning French just so I could give museum tours. And lastly, as a student with a variable workload, I wanted something where I could choose my own hours and not have to explain myself if I didn't want or feel like working. Because it is lucrative and is currently paying my tuition. Because I don't think I'll ever quit. Because I like the freedom.
