An old school homie of mine from high school just asked me if I wanted to go to Heavy MTL, so it looks like I'll be going after all :)

Some of them I don't consider "heavy metal." For example, Atreyu is a fairly recent band (by recent I mean within the last decade) and I feel they fall into "hardcore" or screamo/screamcore. I find the merging of screamo into heavy metal to be truly strange. But that's just me. For me screamo is basically hardcore punk but with screaming. It doesn't sound metal at all, but again, just me.

I would do it if I thought it would work in my favour, but I'm already a niche market being plus-sized AND alternative. I don't need to niche-ify myself any further. That and I'd never hear the end of it. It would be a constant, non-stop barrage of "But why? It's so much nicer bald" etc., etc.

There is this really cool, older punk guy I see around town. He's always got super tight jeans and a pair of chucks and his hair is usually dyed some bright, neon colour. I wish I had known about CERB when I first started out. Once a guy emailed asking if I did MSOG. I live with my partner and also work out of our shared living space. He's aware of what I do, so there is no dishonesty.
