  1. Little late on this one, but I still think you're awesome Pete.
  2. I've never heard of such a progression either. You have to decide what you're comfortable with, what you want out of the experience and start doing your research. Personally, if I were on the other side, I would probably have the escort come to me, that is I'd opt for an outcall. But I'm lazy ;)
  3. I've had a couple of younger guys (I believe 20 was the youngest). They've all been incredibly polite and respectful, and some were downright nervous. If you approach me politely, I don't have any qualms about seeing younger guys, older guys, middle-aged guys, fat guys, skinny guys, whoever.
  4. I wish more couples were open like you are. That's so excellent! It feels good to confide in someone, eh? So my story, which I've told before, but goes like this. My mother and my sister know, but my father, grandparents, etc do not. Here in Ottawa, where I live, I'm out to everyone I know and people you have random conversations with and they ask, "what do you do for a living?" I always answer that I work as an escort. So my hairdresser knows, my waxer knows, multiple classes of students at the University of Ottawa and Carleton, as well as some of my professors. When you are sometimes asked to give guest lectures on the subject of sex work, you can hardly be "in the closet" about what you do. Why do I put myself out there? Because I personally believe that the more of the general population that is educated as to the variety of experience and diversity of human beings who participate in this industry, the more I can change public perception of whores/hookers/escorts/courtesans/sexual healers/sex workers/service providers. Oh and when I told my mom, she said, "I'm impressed that you have the courage to take advantage of such a goldmine." True story.
  5. Being a sex worker will make you or break you. It isn't for everyone and if you don't have high self-esteem to begin with, this profession will eat you alive. I'd like to say this job has given me great self-esteem, but the truth is, I loved myself before I started doing this. You can't rely on outside influences/sources to make you feel good about yourself, it has to come from within.
  6. I have a client who books me through the Playgirls (who don't even do half hours), always around 2 am and I'm literally in his hotel room for maybe 10 minutes, and at least five of that is me getting dressed and undressed. I've asked him if he wants to go for round two or if he wants to chat or cuddle or whatever after he's finished. He always chooses to go to bed, tells me he had a great time and that he'll call me when he's in Ottawa next. Personally, I like half hours. They're great when you're in school, and can function as excellent study breaks :)
  7. I too have perfected my half hour skills :)
  8. It's okay that you don't post that often, Cat, it's about quality not quantity. You are a fabulous woman and a valuable source of information! xx Erin
  9. Jesus Christ, it's like a cockroach that won't die.
  10. No apologies necessary! Better late than never :)
  11. Ha, you'd be surprised! I read an excellent dual biography about the relationship between Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir and they totally were in an open relationship and had mutual lovers on the side.

  13. That cake is absolutely outrageous! And awesome!
  14. If you go in the afternoon, I'd likely come along. I've never actually been in a strip club and I'm celebrating my birthday, so what better way than to get a dance!
  15. Awwww, I love you guys! Thanks for all the birthday love. Those of you who come and see me will have to administer my birthday spanks :)
  16. As everyone else has stated, there are issues with this. The reason I like this job is because I'm not obligated to see everyone who emails me. And I'm very particular. This would require me to trust that someone who cancels will actually give me the cancellation fee and somehow I don't see that happening. I've cancelled a bunch of times. One poor guy got cancelled on two days in a row. Shit comes up, life happens, etc. Also, does anyone else notice they catch colds or whatever is going around more often in this business? I'd like to think that people don't come to see me when they're ill, but who knows. This year especially, I've noticed I've been down for a day or two or up to a week with random cold-type things...at least five separate times, since September.
  17. Some people have no respect or consideration for anyone else at all. Booking when he already knows he can't make it? What a dick move. What is sadder is that no matter how many times we complain about it, there is always going to be some asshat who is still going to do it.
  18. Well thankfully that's over and now you can have some fun :)
  19. Neat-o! I'm totally jumping on the SpinVox bandwagon.
  20. I think I'd want to know ahead of time, rather than just being surprised, but I still say go for it and see her.
