clients: follow-up with your emails to SPs!
VedaSloan replied to Annessa's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Some people still don't view this as a serious profession, so they think they can dick around with our time. You can't cancel most doctor appointments without 24 hours notice, or they'll charge you. Why should our time be any different? -
A spewing bit of rant...
VedaSloan replied to cat's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Manipulations aside, guys ask for bbfs on occasion because they know there are SP's stupid enough to do it for more cash. -

Don't do it. Put her in your spank bank and move on. -
Drugs and Alcohol
VedaSloan replied to Emma Alexandra's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Maybe I'm more laid-back about drugs, but as long as you're not drunk off your ass (and thus USELESS to me sexually) I don't really care. -

The best satire is oldschool: Juvenal all the way! -

I love that book! A friend of mine (Juliet November) has a piece in it. -

Speaking of fascinating magazines, there is a great one about the sex industry that is surprisingly not that well-known: $pread. You can get it at Venus Envy. I'm trying to talk the Women's Resource Centre at Ottawa U into getting a subscription. Foreign Policy magazine sounds like something my best friend would read (he's doing his master's in political science). -
Have you ever stolen an SP's panties?
VedaSloan replied to capitalman's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've never had a client steal my panties, but a rando I slept with for fun did once. He wanted to wear them and have me humiliate him and tell him what a small little dick he had and then he came in my undies and put his boxers on over top and then left. He could have just asked. -

Now, don't everyone freak out on me, but I've never been a fan of Douglas Adams, and yes, I've actually read some of his stuff. I prefer my sci-fi depressing and dystopic. -
This is so exciting! I really hope this turns out as well as I think it can. My only suggestion is to keep your participants diverse, or you run the risk of trapping yourself in stereotypes. You can find participants who worked areas of the industry that people might think would be the worst things to do and they do it by choice. There was a great blurb about a woman who worked the street by choice in Spread magazine awhile back. She liked that it was more transaction based and she didn't have to pretend to be interested and most of the time the acts were restricted to fellatio so she didn't even have to take off her clothes. Best of luck! Oh and my favourite documentary is Dig! and I don't think this counts as a documentary, or maybe it does, it's been awhile, but Festival Express is AWESOME.

I hate missing the socials, but you keep scheduling them during my classes :( -

As someone with a degree in archaeology, we can never "know" how ancient peoples behaved, we can only make educated speculations :) However, I'm a huge fan of fantasy/sci fi, so I'll definitely check it out. I'm reading this for class, but it's surprisingly interesting: Cosa Nostra: A History of the Sicilian Mafia by John Dickie. -

Ha, oh I agree, it was a terrible performance. I loved the short story though and now that I know what it's from, I can read the rest. -

Yep, and Johnny Mnemonic is based off Neuromancer or a short story he wrote, I can't recall. I read it in high school. -
You're not alone! My lover is the same way, he prefers his ladies solid when it comes to dating, but pays for much slenderer women.

She demonstrated how to give a lapdance to that song and my vagina almost blew a gasket, I was so turned on. -
YES! Totally awesome, thanks Lou :)

Question for long time SPs and hobbyists
VedaSloan replied to Capital Hunter's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I've never had an STD. I get tested every two months and as Cat stated, SP's are entirely more vigilant about protection than the majority of the population (I am thinking of my first couple of years in university, and the drunken weekends at the club, bringing home guys and boning them without much respect to safety--I sincerely doubt much has changed with the current batch of frosh). -

Man, I'm so out of the loop! Nick Cave is coming to Ottawa?! His cover of Stagger Lee is possibly the greatest ever. I also knew a stripper from New Zealand and Stagger Lee was her favourite song to dance to. -
My rant: The Spinner Complex

And I've got 38G's and they are not sensitive. You can put clothespins on those babies, and I'd be in heaven.
