I'm currently mowing down the most delicious deep-fried coconut shrimp and seriously, I wasn't expecting them to be so yummy! I've almost eaten the entire box and it's supposed to be for two people! Shanghai, I love you.

What's everyone reading these days?
VedaSloan replied to VedaSloan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Well, I'll be hitting up the library soon to check these out. If I can't find them there, I'll see what Chapters has to offer, though it's possible Venus Envy might carry them, or After Stonewall. -

Can't go wrong with a good historical murder mystery. -
To shave or not to shave?
VedaSloan replied to LazeyGeorge's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Meh, whether you're shaved or not does not matter to me. I'm more concerned with what you can do with your parts ;) Also, I'm rockin' a full bush right now because I'm too cheap to get a wax until I pay my tuition. -
so where do hobbiest's get to rant?

Twice I've been a no-show: once my sister was giving birth and the second time I had a severe allergic reaction at lunch and spent the afternoon in emerg. I always email after the fact to let them know what happened and usually I offer a discounted rate. If she doesn't offer an explanation, I wouldn't bother with her. -
Has anyone ever tried ALL the girls at an agency?

Oh you cunning linguist ;) Write one about me! -
When I first started university some years back, my parents got me a student Visa from Desjardins, which I'm still using (and my mom is still paying, shhh!). It's only got a $300 limit, so I use it for grocery emergencies generally. So it shouldn't be that hard to get a credit card. Good luck, and welcome back!

I just picked up a copy of another great sex work anthology: Hos, Hookers, Call Girls and Rent Boys- ed. David Henry Sterry and R.J. Martin Jr. My lover's ex fiancee has a piece in it under the name Juliet November. -
This doesn't help you, but props for the use of the word "hirsute." You don't hear that one often.

Who's in your top five?
VedaSloan replied to VedaSloan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Also, if I was going to go old-school hotties, the list would be: Audrey Hepburn James Dean Hedy Lamarr Humphrey Bogart Rita Hayworth -
Well Mod said it best. We charge by the hour (and half hour) and for good reason. If I was charging for "just a BJ" it would cost more, quite frankly, because there is way more skill and effort involved than just a straight up fuck.

Ooo, the book was soo good. I was totally involved the entire time. The movie was disappointing, I'll agree. -

Question for the Gentlemen
VedaSloan replied to Emma Alexandra's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've had it happen a couple of times too, Emma. One was a twenty-eight year old virgin who was exceedingly nervous and he tried to pull the condom on like a sock. He left about 10 minutes in, which was the amount of time it took me to get him comfortable and undressed and not shaking. I'm serious. It was like he was terrified. Of course, once he was inside me, he blew pretty much instantly and he left after that. Another time it was with an Asian gentleman whose English wasn't great and so we kind of just skipped straight to the sex and he also left afterwards. Kind of hard to have a conversation there. I'm sure there are tons of reasons they leave early, none of which are related to us :) -

I love southern gothic, I'll have to check this out. I've been getting my southern gothic fix with True Blood (the tv series, not the book series, which is not as good in my opinion). First, welcome to the boards! I'm glad you decided to post because from what you've said, we sound like we're into some similar things :) That totally sounds like my kind of book. Also, I haven't heard Italo Calvino, but I'll be checking him out. Ooo, I'll have to add that to my collection. When I actually move into a house, I want at least one room with wall-wall bookshelves. -
A-ha! So that's where you got your skillz. :)

Tracey used to work, which I appreciate because she knows the biz and isn't going to get pissy if I turn down a client because he creeped me out or was disgusting. Which I've never had to do, but if I did, I would be comfortable doing so because I know she's got my back.

Gobsmacking, what a great word! I'm going to have to check this book out, I've seen it on a couple of people's coffee tables and wondered what it was all about. Plus, I love a good mind-blowing read. Is that book by Erika Ritter a non-fiction book? That sounds exactly like my kind of book. I have a tattoo of Quetzecoatl, an Aztec god. This is exciting, so many new books to check out! -

Man, that takes me back. Sixth grade.. I should re-read that one. The Giver by Lois Lowry is another one I love that I read about the same time.
