Porn Stars before and after makeup
drlove replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm not a fan of excessive make up on women, either. In fact, in my opinion a lot of these ladies look better without it on, exhibiting their natural beauty. -
For Those Of You Who Wear Progressive Lenses...
drlove replied to drlove's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Thanks for this... I requested Nikon lenses because when it comes to my eyesight, I'm not cutting corners. I need to wear my glasses all the time in order to be able to do anything, so yes - definitely worth spending the extra money. I also invested in a second pair, just in case. -
For Those Of You Who Wear Progressive Lenses...
drlove replied to drlove's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Thanks RG and Angela... it sounds like I have the same type of glasses you do; that is, the ones with three areas of vision. Mine are distance, intermediate and reading. I'm actually surprised that I'm only having a bit of difficulty as I was prepared for the worst! haha... In all seriousness though, I'd read up on them a bit before I got my new prescription. I discovered that the measurements the optician takes must be very precise for the lenses to function properly. However, when it came time to be fitted for them, the optician told me to look straight ahead at her, then to turn my head and look to the right, and that was it! For some reason I thought there would be more to it than that... -
So, I just picked up my first pair of 'progressive lens' glasses today... I'm getting old! --lol-- Anyway, the optician told me that it can take awhile to get used to them, since they are a departure from my single vision lenses. The only problem I have is that on occasion things go a bit fuzzy, and I have moments where I have trouble focusing. Is this normal? Does anyone have any tips on how to adjust? Thanks!

I actually had a couple of positive experiences where the wrong lady showed up. The first was a "bait and switch" with an agency in Toronto. Awhile after that experience, I posted a thread pertaining to it on another board. By that point, the agency was under new management and the new owner offered me a free session, even though he was not at fault! A truly class act all the way. :) Another time, also in Toronto - one of my favorite agencies made an error and sent the wrong lady. It turned out fine since I was planning on seeing her later that week anyway. I ended up seeing her her a lot over the years, and we always joked about how she was "The Mistake Lady"! lol

Did she say when she might be resuming services? Thanks.

Questions from a new sp - Any advice appreciated.

I see the OP has been suspended. -
I read the post; From what she wrote, it appears she was just visiting the area, not living there.

Does anyone know if Brittany902 is still around? She hasn't logged into Cerb for awhile, so I thought I'd ask if anyone's seen her recently.

Is advertising Soliciting
drlove replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I believe that "print" ads are still 100% legal in Canada, which is why you can find escort advertisements in local newspapers, CL etc.. I'm not completely clear as to the legislation that exists in the States, yet it is definitely more conservative. This is why government was able to shut down erotic ads being posted on CL in the US. P.S. I see nothing wrong with posting rates; Upscale agencies do it all the time. -
The Truth About Women's Bodies!
drlove replied to Sweet Emily J's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I love all women, all shapes and sizes. Every one of you are perfect just the way you are. As Cristy said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'd also like to add that true beauty transcends the physical... it's the shining inner beauty in each of you that I admire most. -
Calamari - I had them in a Greek restaurant in Germany. They were an appetizer served with a shot of sambuka. The thing was, I'd never eaten it before, and it was served as breaded rings. Of course, me being completely clueless, I thought they were onion rings! I couldn't figure out why they were so rubbery until someone told me what it was! --lol--

Favorite vacation destinations and why
drlove replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Jamaica... I love the culture and the people. One thing really sticks out in my mind the most - the locals are incredibly trusting, likely since they value honour. I was on the beach one day at the resort, and there were some locals selling their wares - handmade carvings of various animals etc.. I was amazed at how detailed the carvings were, and marveled at how long and painstaking a process it must be to complete each one. This was their livelyhood; their way of supporting themselves and their families. Anyhow, I was going for a dip in the ocean and just had my swim trunks on - no money with me at all. I told one of the vendors how much I loved their carvings, and told them I would be back later to buy some when I had my wallet with me. What happened next completely floored me, and I remember it like it was yesterday: The lady said (in a thick Jamaican accent): "No problem mon...I tell you what - you go and take the carvings, mon; you come back later and give me the money." I was taken aback completely. here was a complete stranger willing to trust another complete stranger to her (me) and take me at my word that I would be back to pay her, after I had already received the merchandise in advance. Again, such an act speaks volumes about the kind of people they are. Imagine something like that ever happening here in Canada! I won't be holding my breath on that one... -
I used to see an escort exclusively a few years ago, and she would call me every so often to see if I wanted to get together with her. I was single then, and we had a friendly arrangement so I didn't mind. However, if I was attached it would have been a major problem. I feel the key is to assess each situation on its own merit, but at the same time it should be implicitly understood that one should never approach them devoid of common sense.

When a Treasured Gentleman...
drlove replied to cat's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I only know of one instance where a crossing of boundaries was implemented successfully. In this particular case, there was a connection between the SP and the client, and they did become friends in real life. However, the flipside to this turn of events was that she (the SP) stopped seeing the gentleman as a client. For what it's worth, I'd say it's better to appreciate the SP/Client relationship for what it is - a business relationship that may evolve into a business friendship, and leave it at that. -
For a client to attempt to see an SP when he is sick is simply disrespectful and rude. Anyone trying this should be shown the door, but not before giving her a hefty cancellation fee for effectively wasting her time! Respect is a two way street - to turn it around, how would a hobbyist feel if he booked an appointment and the lady showed up at the door with a bad flu/cold? Just my two cents...

50 Shades of Gray BP? Tracey R
drlove replied to pussywussy's topic in Escort Discussion for Nova Scotia
You mean "50 Shades Of Fun". -
I always tend to bristle a bit at the mention of religion; In my view, it's simply a social construct used to control the masses. It has nothing to do with one's own personal relationship with "God" or a higher power. As an aside, it always amazes me how little people know about their own religion. Catholics sometimes wear a crucifix as a religious symbol, but its history dates back to the 6th century BC when it was used as an instrument of torture by Persians, Jews, Carthaginians, Seleucids and Romans. This practice continued until the time of Constantine The Great, a Roman emperor who abolished the practice after converting to Christianity in 337AD. Similarly, the word "Satan" is derived from the Hebrew word "Shatan" which means the choice of evil, not the embodiment of. That said, I feel one shouldn't follow religious doctrine blindly, as it may lead to a very narrow and often conceited view of the world, which ironically is contrary to its fundamental teachings. It's important to be aware of the history, yet at the same time think for one's self and evaluate disseminated information in a critical fashion. For what it's worth, as long someone strives to be a good person, helps others and is generally productive, it's all good. If it comes down to a "final judgement", I don't believe there is one. There is no "wrath of God" or "condemnation" - these are human foibles. That is, if God is omnipotent, then he /she/ it would be above all that. If anything, I'd like to think we judge ourselves, realizing points in our lives where we could have done things differently, and perhaps we'll have that opportunity in the next phase of our existence. I wouldn't give too much thought to the moral quagmire that being a part of this industry presents. I'm sure God has more important things to think about.

I've always been partial to the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.

MC, the best way to gauge yourself is to remember that a client/sp relationship is a symbiotic one based on mutual respect. That said, each party has an underlying responsibility to the other not to offend, or put them into an uncomfortable/compromising position. Therefore, heed Samantha's advice and be cognizant of unspoken boundaries endemic to the situation at hand and you'll do fine.

Why ask me if I am a cop?
drlove replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
I suspect that some hobbyists are not that well versed when it comes to legalities surrounding the hobby and its ramifications. From what I've heard, there is also some confusion around incalls vs. outcalls, which has the effect of unnerving some participants. (For the record, outcalls are 100% legal, while incalls technically aren't, yet they constitute a grey area when it comes to actual enforcement by LE.) This may all change again, pending the outcome of the Supreme Court decision at some point in the not too distant future. I remember one time many years ago, I was asked if I was a cop by a lady visiting me on an outcall! Go figure... but to reiterate, I feel it comes down to a lack of knowledge and a subsequent attempt at "trying to cover their bases" as it were. -
Exactly... you hit the nail on the head, thank-you. There's a lot more to an appointment than just sex. I happen to enjoy the conversation/cuddling, and the whole getting to know someone a bit as well.
