  1. In some cases that's probably true, but I was at work when I received the call, so they have no idea who I am.
  2. It's the one where they try to gain remote access to your computer.
  3. So, I got one of those calls today from someone who claims to know that my computer is infected with a virus. I asked them if they were calling to help me fix it, and they said yes. Well, isn't that nice! =) I was only too happy to answer their questions such as "Are you the owner of the computer?" - yes. "Are you sitting in front of the computer right now?" - sure am. "Do you see the icons on your desktop?" - yep. Well, after I let them get to the part of wanting me to click on stuff, I casually mentioned that this call was being traced and that we were contacting the authorities. I must have caught them off guard, as they didn't quite get that. That's ok... I didn't mind repeating it again. Then, for no apparent reason, they hung up. How rude! I was hoping that they'd talk to me some more since I was rather bored. Was it something I said? *lol*
  4. Hmmm... the fact that it's shaping up to be a potential election issue should be enough to keep them in line. I feel that the Supreme Court will uphold the previous rulings. It's great for the other provinces since the decision is binding country wide. Furthermore, it is my view that the Conservatives will be extremely limited in trying to table any right wing legislation around the issue of prostitution when all is said and done. So much for Joy Smith...
  5. There may be an additional fee due to the distance an SP has to travel, but generally speaking outcalls are hassle free, and completely legal too! Most hotels look the other way where hobbying is concerned, so I wouldn't worry about it.
  6. CIBC has the Aerogold Infinite card which offers the feature as well. The annual fee can be worth it if you charge enough; However, I don't travel that much anymore, so I switched to a cashback card from another bank.
  7. Perhaps by the next federal election, The Conservative's popularity will have waned to the point where it's a minority government. Who knows? However, I'd like to see the Liberals and the NDP join forces and overthrow the present dictatorship! lol
  8. That's why it's always good to charge plane tickets to a credit card that had flight delay/interruption insurance. I remember one time, I was taking a flight from Toronto to Halifax at the beginning of April - I think it was 2003. Anyway, they had a blast of winter weather, and the airport ran out of de-icing fluid and my flight was cancelled. I went back to the hotel and charged my suite, room service and the cost of a town car to the airport the next morning to my CC's travel insurance. Total cost: $410. At least that covered the annual fee for a few years. As an added bonus, the flight itself only cost me 50 bucks since I only had to pay the service charge since it was booked with Aeroplan points! *lol*!!
  9. Looking forward to seeing you again when you get back. Have an awesome summer!
  10. Well stated, Cato... the entire package! What more could a man want?
  11. I concur; There's a lot of truth in that one.
  12. If I remember correctly, my first post was a simple introduction. (it's been awhile! lol) Anyway, I'd been posting on another board since 2001, and came across Cerb quite by accident. I'm glad I did, though! :)
  13. I don't like this idea since I have no clue how to use Paypal or do a money transfer. In general, I'm averse to conducting any financial affairs over the internet, so I would prefer an option to purchase my ticket at the door. Otherwise, I may have to think twice about attending.
  14. I'm so sorry for your loss; I know what it's like to lose a pet.
