So, how would this affect the industry in general, especially agencies? Would they automatically be out of business?

That's just it... it's all a ratings grab. Shannon is just as shrewd as Gene when it comes to money... the entire season (and show) is contrived. There is no trouble in paradise - it's a soap opera. Ratings were down, and they needed a juicy tidbit to lure the viewers back. As I've said before, if Shannon was really that averse to Gene's womanizing, she would have bailed on him when the sex tape scandal broke.

I wonder whether the entire thing is "made up" for the benefit of the show. For instance, it's taken Shannon this long to become fed up??? What about when the Gene Simmons Sex Tape scandal broke a couple of years ago? That was real, since it was filmed without his knowledge, and an attempt was made to blackmail him. I was expecting major backlash from Shannon and family at that point, but no one said anything at the time. I think the latest "trouble in paradise" and the subsequent marriage proposal is a ratings ploy.

I'm guessing that didn't work for you then. Strange, as I encountered a similar problem recently. For some reason, I have one lone fruit fly buzzing about my condo. It's always immaculate, so I have no clue where it came from, or why it keeps hanging around. Perhaps the flies are evolving into a highly intelligent strain that laugh at my feeble attempts to eliminate them. I think I'll just keep him as a pet...

You can also try catching them with a bowl full of vinegar. Place a sheet of saran wrap over top, and poke tiny holes in it with a fork. The fruit flies will be able to get in, but won't find their way out again. The perfect trap!

As a matter of fact, I DO remember this!! Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing! lol.

Mainly, I love the variety and freedom in being able to meet a lot of different women. Back in the day, I used to call agencies exclusively. This was before websites had photos, and I loved the anticipation of meeting a lady sight unseen, just from her description, wondering who would be knocking at my door in short order. Granted, I only called reputable providers, so I knew whoever I chose would be amazing. I got a real thrill and adrenaline rush from it.
