@Jenesis you are lucky that you felt it coming and realized it and that you can cope with it. I many cases people detect it too late and can't deal with it the way that you are. Back when I was a firefighter and risked my life many time I sat back and decided to quit before I would lose my life or get injured really bad. I had lost the fear of going into fire engulfed house or rescuing people stuck in their vehicles without considering my life. It was only when an explosion that projected glass at my face and left me with some scars that I decided to stop this and directed myself towards another field while I was still young enough to do it. I do get the withdrawal form the rush but I think it's for the better now that I stay away from it. I have been asked to come back because there is a shortage of fireman/woman but refused it.

I was snowed in this morning and worked hard to get myself out from where I was. Finally came in to work for 9 am. I know what you are going to say, "those are regular hours for government workers" but I usually show up at work for 6:15 am. I'm tired now and would like to take the rest of the day just to rest, but I need the money so it's off to work I go.
