  1. Thank you both gentlemen (and those of you in the Ottawa area), I don't usually comment in my own reviews but I really appreciate the kind words and care with which these were written. It was wonderful to meet you both and thank you for bringing this thread to my attention. :) I hope more members post in the Toronto section as there are many wonderful women in the city that are deserving of a recommendation and have yet to be mentioned.
  2. Interesting Inaluki, it seems your taste in women is fairly consistant but your taste in men is all over the place. 8-)
  3. I didn't know you liked naked men, we should talk! ;) Erin - I agree, have you seen them live? I know several people that went on to work with them and it's amazing to see the level of talent in the show. Chinese poles is one of the acts I've recently gaines a lot of interest in as I can see how difficult it is. My favorite is around 3:40 of the video, amazing to not only leap from one pole to the next but to land in such a position!
  4. I've used Copycraigs in Toronto and they've been great. There are many reviews of the service on Terb in the Outcall section if you are a member there. They basically act like an EA, handle all of your arrangements and then you just go and check in when you need to. The fee is reasonable considering the reduced rates, at least in Toronto where often your getting a room at a hotel for $70 when the rack rate would be around $250. The advantage with Copycraigs is that you know the hotel you are booking at but your getting the Hotwire rates. Hope that helps!
  5. Of course it's over at 2, what type of a skeezy client tries to push for extra time? That's a good idea Buggernot, but I know I am very wary of the clocks nowadays. I pay attention to them but sometimes I wonder if they lie to me. :???: I had a call once and it seems the power went out right in the middle of the call. Well we knew that the call was over at 2:47 (he was a couple min. late arriving) but that clock just kept flashing 12:00 over and over. We waited and waited but the time never changed! Man I was so tired and he woke up from his nap to see that his call still wasn't over so he decided to just leave early. I offered a refund, I mean I really couldn't figure out how we were 3 hours early for a one hour call but the clock said so and it had to be right but he declined. I think we were both too tired to think at that point!
  6. Hmmm... pretty sure you'll be in Ottawa and we'll be in Toronto. I am well aware of your schedule and I'm afraid it just doesn't work. Too bad too, she has a thing for getting lap dances at the Brass Rail! :boobies: Noir has a facination with any breasts larger than her own... I think she's using me. ;)
  7. LOL! yes you didn't know that she and I were friends? I'm surprised I've not mentioned her before. She's a doll and I've been talking to her for a bit about a trip to Ottawa. I really think she'd enjoy it and I'm sure the guys here would really like her, she's such a beautiful and intelligent woman. Anyway just to tease you we are talking about meeting for drinks next week... mmmmm! She is really very beautiful, have you met her yet?
  8. I've been trying to convince my friend Noir to visit Ottawa for quite some time now, if there is interest in it I bet she would visit your fine city. Heck if she was going to visit I might even return sooner than planned - she really is a lot of fun! I am pretty sure she was born female though to be honest I never asked. ;) and yes Rick no harm was meant, I was honestly confused by the question and was making a joke which I thought you'd recognize is in some ways self depreciating. I mean really who's looking for an SP that leaves unsightly stains on the sheets? If you missed the joke and thought it was at your expense... well imagine what it would do to my business if it were true. ;)
  9. Good catch! I too read it as 'black female from birth' and not 'black, female from birth' thinking he was putting the emphasis on the skin colour. I was very confused but intrigued, I figured I might be able to double my market share if I could go back and forth in a believable manner. Currently I leave these unsightly streaks on the sheets during my "Black Like Me" days.
  10. I think the guys would be surprised how much information is available on the web about them I was going to post the information about the sex workers conference in Toronto (on a different board today) when I remembered the spoc bad date list... http://www.spoc.ca/bd08.html That's just the '08 ones that have been reported, since one needs to remember that 85% of sex workers are inside workers and that most of those bad dates are outside workers one has to wonder how many went unreported again. In addition the vast majority of them are Toronto based, I'd guess it's not because Toronto has a higher % of crime against sex workers but rather that the special victims unit is supportive of the girls when reporting a crime. I myself have had to contact them in the past and they were excellent, I am surprised more girls in the city do not report issues with bad dates. Anyway that's a topic for another thread. ;)
  11. Hmmm... I'll have to think of a suitable reward for you too! :-) This could get interesting!
  12. Hotwire is your friend too, it will offer significant savings off the cost of a hotel room and you can get a nice hotel. I know last time I was looking at Ottawa rates I found on average I was getting 3.5-4star downtown hotels for approx. $50-70inclusive. Of course this varies with day of the week and if there are events going on but in general you'll find it's pretty easy to find a nice hotel at a very reduced rate. I use hotwire almost exclusively when in Toronto as the rates are often greater than 60% off the hotel website rates and I find it no hassle when checking in and out. Depending on how often you were to do an outcall and what the costs of a furnished suite with cleaning, laundry services, etc. it might actually be cheaper to book using these types of booking services.
  13. I knew I liked you for a reason! My latest mug has it's own little press inside so I can brew and go, gotta love Bodum! Now I know I told you I don't go for the role play thing but perhaps we can play Barista, you could be my starbucks boy! I look great in my pencil skirt and jacket. Add some stacked heels, sheer blouse where you can just barely see the outline of my bra (which matches my garter - again I don't normally wear but would for my green friendly barista!) with my hair pinned up and my glasses on. Of course I'm rushing to get my french press and off to that all important meeting but you mistake the meaning of 'french press' and we are off to the races! Sound like a plan? ;) You'd need a little green apron and a bodum... http://www.greenbeanery.ca/bean/catalog/index.php?cPath=25_104 I like to reward your green thinking, and hopefully that makes you a winner. :-D
  14. :? Do none of you bring your own cups? *sigh* Kyra wanders off with her environmentally friendly green bag and her reusable mug to find earth friendlier threads. As she's leaving she pauses... From an economic standpoint you get a discount each time you bring your own cup, not sure what it is at Tim Hortons as I don't drink their coffee but really you would probably get a donuts worth in about 5-10 visits, so Apex over the course of this thread you would have been a winner several times over. She then shrugs and wanders off to the green thread over there, *motions* not realizing that's just Spud having drank too much on his Birthday... 8)
  15. Congrats Emma! 8) If I'm in Ottawa again when you are I'll be expecting to take you out for a bit of the bubbly! Though I will not let the boys know - I figure a girls night out is more fun when it's actually girls! I look good in my jeans with my hair down and no makeup... kicking back drinking champagne and talking dirty... oh wait.. that's my fantasy... okay yeah... I'd take you out to celebrate your style! ;) Limo, hunky cerb men (do they exist?) and of course lots of crazy midget mud wrestlers. It'll be fun!
  16. Okay I'm not even sure where to start. If you could please provide some references for the information you have provided I'd appreciate it, as I strongly disagree with your theories and the many lectures and courses I've attended have taught me differently I would like to know your sources in order to compare. Rather than debating point by point I'll simply agree that negotiating is not a good idea but for vastly different reasons. I am a trained negotiator and have attended many workshops put on by various business schools on the art of negotiation and economic egagement. I've also taken many marketing and social science courses where I've learned that there is a difference in how people approach different scenarios and that the mind does not and cannot apply market values to all engagements, that many people actually apply social values to many business engagements and that this is actually a very effective way for people to do business and that we often achieve higher tangible results by setting a social values environment. When social values are applied to a setting you'll find that switching to a market values mindset often offends the other party. Imagine having your mother-in-law make a really nice dinner and instead of bringing a nice bottle of wine (which is a form of payment, but a gift is a socially accepted payment) you at the end of it decide to stand up and say "that was great, now what do I owe you?" and proceed to count out some cash and toss it on the table. That would be socially unacceptable, you would be applying market values to a social setting and she would not find it funny. Instead saying "That was wonderful and I appreciate your hard work, I'd like to get you a nice gift." would be a socially acceptable response. We as a society accept gifts in kind for our hard work in social situations. When escorts are working they generally apply social values, hence they ask for the money in an envelope and not to be discussed. Because the discussion of money begins to bring Market values into terms and they now have a business mindset which is hard to get out. They can no longer feel like they are out with a friend and having fun, which ruins the social mood, they are now applying market values. Since they cannot just accept gifts as they do require payment as a source of income they have found a way to keep the market values discussion to a minimum by using 3rd parties (agents) or using the advertisements to set rates on their behalf. Negotiation beyond an initial discussion will ensure that a market values mindset is in place and girls will feel like they are entering a business transaction which I cannot stress enough will for many not allow them to get the 'social/date' atmosphere back and they will not be able to enjoy their meeting. This is not about being professional or not, it's simply the way the majority of peoples minds work across all professions. This is an area of marketing that is studied and taught in Universities and Business Schools around the world and it's very effective in gaining our trust and getting our business. Understanding this is how we think and how we act goes a long way to explaining not only the SP industry but why we purchase the investments we do, why we select a certain Doctor, Bank, Insurance company (Like a good neighbour State Farm is there - an example of a social values marketing), etc. I would probably say that the opposite is true, it's a sign of professionalism for a girl to recognize that many clients apply social values to these situations and that avoiding a market value situation is important in ensuring a good call for a vast majority of clients. I have read many a review where the client posts that they felt uncomfortable that the topic of money was brought up, this is often because they unknowingly switched to a market value mindset and could not suspend the social values belief. A good friend would not have brought up the issue of money, it goes back to the scenario of counting out the money at the Mother-in-laws table, a good SP will recognize the difference and does not allow market values to enter the equation otherwise she risks putting her client in an awkward situation. Likewise clients that have a market values expectation of negotiating each detail should not book SP's that have social values and SP's that have market values should not seek clients that have social values, the two will not be able to engage each other and will feel terribly disconnected from each other. Studies show that most people once they apply market values to a situation they cannot return to social values. The majority of clients and ladies see it as a social environment and need to suspend the belief it is not a transaction so bringing market values into the transaction is not something that can be done. It is not about the persons abilty to negotiate, I know how to negotiate and have no difficulty doing that. It is about understanding marketing and social sciences. If you continue your research and learn more about the nuances of negotiation skills and the mindset behind it then perhaps you'll learn that there is a lot more than just the dollars and cents aspect. I'd suggest reading Predictably Irrational to start as that's the book I referenced most. In addition the MIT Opencourseware on Negotiation is an easy access if you don't have access to the certification programs at Shulich or Rotman. http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Sloan-School-of-Management/15-667Spring2001/Syllabus/index.htm
  17. Hi Abby and Sienna! :) *waves* Welcome to the board! I'm sure the boys will give you a warm welcome, one thing you should know is that this board is rather Ottawa-centric so most of the boys will tell you that Ottawa is the place to be. It is a great city and certainly worth a stop, especially if it's your first trip to Canada but be sure to check out a few of the cities and maybe ask a few of the girls (if you do some reading you'll get a sense of who will give you honest advice) what the market is like and where to visit and where to stay when in town. It's an entirely new 'ball game' when in Canada and sometimes it's not easy to find accomodations and get advertising. Good luck! :)
  18. LOL! Well I have to write this paper for Mr. Inaluki on The Macroeconomics of Imperfect Competition and Nonclearing Markets, once that is completed I'll look at possible times for another visit to Ottawa. In the meantime I hear Miss Cloe and Miss Emma are available to keep you company and I'm pretty sure they can discuss macroeconomic theory should you choose to. Though personally I'd test their knowledge base by bringing various topics such as their thoughts on the Immunolocalization of the Androgen Receptor in the Boar Epididymis: the Effect of the Gonadotropin-releasing Hormone (GnRH) Agonist Deslorelin or perhaps you could ask them about The rape of Proserpina by Bernini and it's significance in baroque sculpture. But then ugan you might find makin such purty gals tink so hard yu mite put mor uv us on da injurd list as ur brians just dun wurk dat wel den yus dun hav menee gurls in ottawa enee mor. ;)
  19. I have to agree with Emma, each client engagement is different and unique. Some are better than others but there is not one that is best and there is not one that is worst... well... hmmm... there are a few that might qualify for worst.... Anyway, the point is that just like dating it's really about the personal connection and getting to know each other, when you do that you find that there isn't a magic formula that makes it work or not it's just two people having fun. So no Emma it doesn't sound like BS to me but then what do I know, I gave up on "tinkin" today. ;) Kyra
  20. Oh like writing a paper on The Macroeconomics of Imperfect Competition and Nonclearing Markets would stress me. ;) I mean unless you wanted a book I could easily whip off a short essay doing a comparison of the classicals and the Kenysians or perhaps a discussion of the Walrasian Paradigm and maybe to narrow the topic an indepth look at Fixprice Equilibria. ;) However I'm not doing any uh dat today, I had tuh work far to hard trackin' down Miss Emma. My poor wuttle SP brain don't like tuh work so hard... wees gurls ur ment tuh sit and look purty not tuh tink and I had to do sum hard tinkin' today Mr. Inaluki sir! :-P
