Did you suffer from CERB withdrawal today ?
Kyra.Graves replied to whatsup's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Of all the days! I was trying to reach Emma and there was no Cerb! I actually had to track her website down and try emailing her... so much work for my poor little brain. I hate having to think... I am sure I need to rest that poor little head of mine now. -
I've known women in Toronto that have worked in the industry 10-15 years and have no doubt that some have worked longer, I just don't know them personally. Many women will stop and start in it or will take years on and off as the work evolves for them, I don't know any that have worked one continuous role as that takes it's toll on anyone, even in the regular workplace and in a physically demanding job it can be very hard on ones body too. Often you'll find that girls will drop out of the limelight for a few years as they take on one or two private clients or perhaps they'll take an administrative role, sometimes they'll reinvent themselves as a Dominatrix for a few years and not provide Full Service in order to rest the body, etc. It's all a way of reinventing the role and also giving a new definition to themselves for a few months/years, something that anyone would do in their job/career should they be in the same position for a certain number of years. Even when the job isn't boring you it's important to not only challenge oneself but also to allow the body and mind to rest and reinvent. Any girl that does this for over a decade will find that she has to do that every so often otherwise she will suffer the same burnout that anyone would in any career. That's why you won't generally see anyone that has been in the public spotlight for so many years, the guys are generally aware of who's who and been doing what but the girls find ways to reinvent and by doing so the resume refreshes every so often and it makes it harder to just look back from the outside. Oh and 4 years... LOL... don't worry that's nothing, but then what would I know I'm just a newbie. ;)

Can I take away points for no punctuation in that post? I shouldn't need to be sober in order to understand Cerb!

To the Men: Would you want to Know??
Kyra.Graves replied to MissAva's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Personally I think you should always let the client know about your personal knowledge of them, however doing so in a discrete and professional manner is of the utmost importance. I don't think it's up to the SP alone to make a judgement call on what type of risk the client is willing to assume, the client needs to be able to make an informed decision and only by being open and honest with your clients can you ensure they are able to assume the type of risk that is acceptable to them. As an SP we are never fully aware of a clients entire situation, we are not privy to their home or work environment and we cannot fully appreciate the risk they are taking when choosing to see us. It's up to them to set the boundaries they are comfortable with just as we set our own parameters and work within them. When those circumstances change it's our duty to inform the client of any changes and to let them make an informed decision on whether or not they'd like to continue the relationship under the new context. On a personal note I've had this situation arise on several occasions and I usually sit down with the client at the beginning of a session and explain my thoughts. Sometimes it's the first time I've seen them and I just want them to know that I think I recognize them from the outside world and sometimes it's that we've now crossed paths in our other personal or professional lives and I believe it might have a bearing on our existing client/SP relationship. The outcome has been varied, sometimes we continue as if nothing has happened and sometimes we have ceased all contact both as client and SP and in our outside world just to be safe as we felt it might be a conflict of interest in our professional careers. In one situation I can honestly say that I would never have thought of any conflict at all and was hesitant to mention it but I knew my client worked for a corp. that I was submitting a proposal for in my real career. I thought I'd mention it just in case he'd been less than honest with me about his own career and position in the company, it turns out he had been and just by my coming forward with the knowledge I had I avoided a potentially embarrassing situation or even worse. There are always potential conflicts and they can come from anywhere and anyone of them might be far more risk than the client is willing to assume. Anything from sharing a hairstylist with a clients wife to it being against SEC guidelines for the client and you to see each other (yes it can and does happen) or any number of personal or professional entanglements. If the client is unaware then he cannot be sure what type of risk he is assuming and what the potential consequences are. As the SP your consequences are very different and you cannot provide an accurate risk assessment from your side of things, informing him is the least you can do. I also think it's only fair for a client to do the same and have had clients do so on numerous occasions for me. Some have come across my real name at my work or via some charity work I do and they will often let me know they are aware of it just in case it makes me uncomfortable. I usually tell them it's not a big deal to me and that I will proceed without any issues though on occasion it does hit to close to home and I'll explain that I think it's best to forget about the entire thing. -
How is the recesssion affecting your business?

In actuality the recession tends to bring a bit of a boost to escorts on the higher end of the service scale as "vice sales" like alcohol, tobacco, etc. tend to go up during times of economic stress. This is true for escorts as well though oddly it doesn't seem to apply for strippers, I will assume it's because of the mileage factor but I'm not sure anyone has ever done a study on it. It's just a way that people tend to self medicate for stress, had a bad day - go have a drink, didn't meet that sales quota again - go get laid! Now the longer the recession goes on this will dwindle however many will not give up their vices, so though everyone may see a cut in income only those that have not already shored up their client base would be seriously affected and may find themselves without any income. In regards to shorter calls vs. longer ones, this would actually be counter intuitive to what you talk about in the second paragraph. I'll let you think about that one for a moment but clients that are feeling the economic pinch are actually booking longer calls now than they used to. ;) The recession really hasn't trickled down that much yet. It takes a lot for a girl that would not normally consider this as a job option to start a career as an escort, stripper or MPA. Some women start because it's something they would freely consider, they are openiminded sexual beings and think they would like to be paid to do something they already enjoy doing. Some women start because they are in a desparate financial state and need a way out, this is the only way they can see a way to make some cash that night (stripping is often the first step). Some of these women can learn to enjoy it, it can be liberating for them and some of them find it loathsome and it is very difficult for them to come to terms with. These women are not in high financial careers to begin with, they are usually working retail jobs, nannies, housekeepers, waitresses, etc. and are living paycheque to paycheque. They often have a fair bit of experience in living inexpensively and for the most part can get by for a few months on a minimal income picking up odd jobs and ducking bills. Those bills do however add up and they will feel the pressure of it building until they don't know where else to turn and that's when those advertisements on "Sugar Daddy" or "Make Cash Tonight - Escort Needed" start to look good to them. It's actually rather sad as they really just want to eat, sleep in a warm bed and get up in the morning and go to a job where they can help someone find a phone, or serve toast or anything but get naked. So the recession will eventually hit them and hard.. but not for a bit as it takes awhile for the recession to have enough layoffs to put that many street savy girls out of work that you'll have large numbers of them starting up in the business. There are always some each month but for each one there is a few that are leaving and that's a normal turnover. You need enough closings where you'd have a huge number of women between the ages of 19-35 coming into the workplace without any sort of job assistance programs. Anyway just my 2cents. :) -
I'm a day late but the sentiment is the same... Hope you all had a good day Ladies & Gents!!

For the ladies: coming out of the closet
Kyra.Graves replied to VedaSloan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think it's important for parents to be supportive without encouraging and that's a very fine line most don't recognize so it sounds like your mother did a good job. :) As for myself, well my individual circumstances are very different from yours so no my parents don't know about this job but there isn't really a need for them to. It's a job not a career choice, my career is different and they are well aware of it and are very proud of it and have always supported me in my career options. They also know that I used to work as a stripper, that is in part how I made my way to my career and though they were not thrilled about it I was the only one of my siblings not not start my working years with school debts so they understood my choices and accepted them. I do have a number of friends and colleagues that know I work as an escort, these are those in my close social network. It's just that my parents aren't in that network and telling them would seem unnecessary and pointless for me. They have retired and are living a nice quiet life, telling them something like that would just cause them worry when right now they deserve to relax and enjoy what retirement has to offer. -

Always a pleasure when you are willing to indulge in my fantasies. :-P <insert my mind rambling tangent here> I'm always surprised that it's not the fantasy of more guys on the boards to indulge women in their sexual fantasies. I mean really to provide women with continuous orgasms and be used for sexual pleasure would surely be a fairly common fantasy, at least I would think. Yet oddly it's the least requested item I get, I have never understood that. I would think that would be the most fun thing to do, to be a sexual playground for a woman who wants to use your body as her personal sex toy. </end tangent> Anyway hijaking my own Esoterica thread. ;) back to teasing him. -

Hey last time I was in Ottawa Cloe and I offered to double team you but you were unavailable due to some anal accident. Hmmmm... now I'm starting to put the pieces together. Did you try to use this as lubricant? Wouldn't it burn the rectum? No wonder you were laid up for so long! Ouch!! I'm pretty sure it would be for external use only no? Please explain, with details if necessary I'm sure we'd all like to learn more. -

I would never do such a thing! *adjusts halo I mean he's got a right to any handle he chooses and just because he opted to use his company's best selling product (does that count as unpaid advertising?) doesn't mean that I'm making fun of him. If Esoterica wants to bleach his anus he's got a right just like all the rest of us and I appreciate his discretion in only describing the process in very descriptive PM's to select male members (thanks for sharing those with me guys they were hilarious!) rather than posting them on the board. :-P As for anal bleaching itself, I too know people that have done it. No big deal really and it is the same creams used as is used to even out skin tone or is also used in certain cultures where a more "white" apprearance was the trend. Skin bleaching isn't a new thing so home bleaching kits have been around for years, it's not something I am planning but then with my background I've always been fair skinned. Of course keeping clean is the most important factor, I assume most girls in this industry are generally aware of proper hygiene. -

Greek, Italian, Russian, can't speak any other languages... they are all greek to me. I'm just not linguistically gifted. ;) However the thread is a plea for information, so does anyone have information about esoterica nighttime anal? I really want to know if it's worthy of reccomendation do I get my 8.99 worth? The website seems a legit, saw nothing on Cowboys blog about it but the pics... well they seemed a bit shady I mean they covered up the name and I did find them on the other site.. is it B&S anal? Is Esoterica for real? -
Anyone have any information on Esoterica Nighttime Anal Bleaching? http://www.bleachbum.com/ Read the site and apparently it's all the rage and will take years off the look of my ass. I figure that's not a bad thing. So I looked up the product and of course it's called Esoterica, so that led me to Cerb. Thought at least one of you if not more might be able to provide me with a review of Esoterica. Please! I've not tried Esoterica at night on my ass, seems I've been doing it wrong. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001H1T3OU?smid=A3JGAT1K20K752&tag=nextag-hpc-delta-20&linkCode=asn

Didn't they know they just had to follow your posts with "Circle, Circle, Red Dot, now I've got the Cootie Shot" and they'd be protected. I mean we should encourage safe posting here, no one needs to spread the dreaded Cooties but it is easily preventable. ;) I think Justin Time is better though in the interest of safety (to prevent a cootie epidemic on the board) perhaps you could let us know did you manage to clear the cooties from your system or are they simply in remission right now? should we be concerned? -

I do love your wit. :) Okay just for that I'll actually put forward a few names I favour, though to be honest I don't believe just putting out a name does much good. If one is trying to match a name to a person they'd really have to match the person and personal brand, however that rarely happens. Even the story of my own name, Kyra, is more of an accident where I am rather stuck with the name. I like it don't get me wrong but I wouldn't have selected it myself for a number of reasons. -Ella -Maya -Grace -Quinn -

Kyra.Graves replied to d*mm*y's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'd love to see a girl working under that name. :) Seriously most girls select the names long before they have exposure to the many other girls working in the industry. Popularity of names is predictable and it follows societal trends, this industry is no different. Sure it's confusing for the client but the girls tend to pick names based on what they find attractive, popular and sexy, most don't much more thought into their brand management. Just as years gone by there were many Ambers, Jades and Jennas you will see a rise in the number of Brookes right now. It follows the curve of the current trendsetters, as the celebs trickle in and out of fashion the girls will slowly adapt the names into popular subculture and the porn names are born. I'm actually facinated with the Freakonomics name watch, so far the guys have been on track for the popular name list for 2015. http://www.babynamesgarden.com/freakonomicswatch.aspx -

Dekota is wonderful, a good friend of mine but speak with Nicole from GOE as Dekota has a limited availability and often that is a determining factor as well. There are however many girls at the agency (and others in Toronto - Exquisite, Mirage, Cupids) that would fit the bill. http://www.gardenofedenescorts.com/goe/q_browse.php?type%5B%5D=Escort I might also recommend Celest, she's an independant that I've worked with in the past and has that tall slim model look. She's not the playboy pin up but rather a true model type, very beautiful and very elegant - though of course that depends on if that is what you are looking for. http://sweetest.celest.googlepages.com/ What club are you headed too? If you are going someplace like This Is London then Dekota would be an obvious choice however if you are headed to someplace like Spice Route then Celest would be a clear standout. It's as much about their personal style and personality and how it would fit in the environment. -

Use protection! I removed the links that my AVG had flagged but since I'm not an online porner I really don't spend enough time screening them all. Oh and remember YMMV. ;) I rarely watch online porn, rather I prefer the bigger budget films. 1000 words Babysitters Fashionistas Those are 3 that come to mind, all very different but to me great examples of getting what you pay for. ======================================================= Mod - if any of the links listed aren't okay please just delete. I see this topic on lots of review boards and just save the links each time it comes up, oddly guys on escort boards talk about porn a lot, especially free porn. ;-)

Great song, I too like the Gary Jules version of it as far as performance goes. I once used it for a fundraiser video for an animal shelter and it had amazing impact, lyrically it's brilliant yet so depressing. Gotta love Tears for Fears for that. By the way this is the original video for the Gary Jules version of the song, not the movie promo one (Donnie Darko).

Hmmm... changes a lot with my mood, I'm always updating the songs in my sig. because of that. Almost anything by Ben Harper would make the list. On the lyrical/song content alone I'd probably go with Richest Man in Babylon by Thievery Corporation and to be a little less political I'd say Poe, Beautiful Girl Richest Man in Babylon There is no quidance in your kingdom Your wicked walk in Babylon There is no wisdom to your freedom The richest man in babylon Your beggars sleep outside your doorway Your prophets leave to wonder on You fall asleep at night with worry The saddest man in Babylon The wicked stench of exploitation Hangs in the air and lingers on Beneath the praise and admiration The weakest man in Babylon There is no hope left in your kingdom Your servants have burned all their songs Nobody here remembers freedom The richest man in Babylon (cont...) Beautiful Girl Beautiful girl, You mustve been a beautiful baby too Beautiful woman, You mustve had your moments inside the sun Beautiful girl Beautiful stranger Why do you have to walk with your head hung low Beautiful girl Your eyes are mockingbirds inside a guilded cage Your lifes a silent movie that I havent heard for ages Tell me everything, someones gotta hear this Beautiful thing Beautiful mother, frozen in ice Ive waiting for you to grow for my whole life Beautiful girl Your eyes are mockingbirds inside a guilded cage Your lifes a silent movie that I havent heard for ages Tell me everything, someones gotta hear this Beautiful thing (so beautiful)
