Spicy tofu burritos, I usually have them for breakfast but anytime I want something filling with a lot of flavour it's my go to meal. Chips with guacamole. Wild mushroom ragout, great in the wintertime. Dolsot Bibimbap I love soups as well and there is a place in the city that makes a great vegan Pho which is a pretty regular stop for me year round.

Great first post - I've had many an 'arts & crafts style' envelope handed to me and they always come from some of my most considerate companions. It just goes to show you are trying to take care of the details. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story, I'm glad you decided to start posting. :)

Just a few words about.... ;)

I disagree, when it comes to exploitation I think you can use the justice system to put a stop to it otherwise you are enabling those that victimize the ladies. Now I understand that not all cities or towns have law enforcement that is friendly or supportive to women in the industry and it's not easy to be the point of contact for the police and if that isn't something you are comfortable doing you can always contact a more escort friendly agency to ask for advice on how to deal with the situation. As an example the Toronto Police Services has a Special Victims Unit that deals specifically with women in the industry, they will handle both crimes that arise between ladies and their clients (sexual assaults, thefts, robberies, etc.) and issues of human trafficking, pandering, etc. where the ladies may be exploited by others in the industry. I don't know what type of advice or information they could offer to a lady from another city but I know if I were concerned I would actually contact them and let them know a little about my situation, explain that I am hesitant to contact my local law enforcement only because there is not yet a 'great program like theirs' and ask if they have a contact they have dealt with locally that is sympathetic to women that work in the industry and might be understanding of the unique situation, that coming forward might put me at further risk in my community but that I do not wish to see any further exploitation. I would also ask if they have any advice on what to expect as next steps. I would also contact a lawyer and ask if they could act as an advocate on my or the lady in questions behalf. You are not breaking the law by working as an escort and if someone is being exploited to that degree then it's important that someone contact law enforcement if only to make them aware of the situation. If you don't know a lawyer that specializes in these types of services then contact an organization like SPOC or Walk With Me (an organization that helps human trafficking victims in Canada - though the women are not being trafficked they could likely refer you to someone that can assist with exploitation) and ask. You can also contact the Law Society of Upper Canada if you are comfortable doing your own screening. My point is that if no one does anything than nothing changes, it's not easy to be the first person to speak out and there are ways to do it and ways not to. You don't have to go in guns blazing if you don't want, sometimes just making small changes can make a difference, even creating options for the ladies talking to others, creating discussion within your own community and creating options within that community will bring about change. There are other things that I'm sure the ladies on here could offer insight on like value added services (no guys not those kinds of services) which are basically small things you can do to add value to a date in order to increase overall value - this would be helpful if the city has an overall issue with rates being below a livable wage. Raising awareness among your clients without creating a negative campaign, negative marketing doesn't benefit anyone and it often stigmatizes the ladies in a specific situation - instead try creating a positive campaign and create options. Your clients within the city can be very helpful with that, they are the options and often they want to help. No one wants to contribute to exploitation knowingly and often ladies being exploited don't know they have options so creating a positive environment takes a bit of work and care but if done right you can slowly create change, I believe groups like POWER (I have never dealt with them but am sure some ladies on here could offer insight), Maggies, SPOC, etc. have all worked hard to create positive atmospheres and try to engage not only the workers but the community as well. Anyway I know that's a rather long post but I really think that there are options and as a community we can and should try to stop exploitation of the women around us, we need to give ourselves a voice if we expect people to listen to our needs. -

What you are talking about is exploitation. I would suggest the ladies in a situation like this would benefit greatly from some sort of outside help. It's very important for agency ladies to remember that they do not work for an agency but rather the agency represents them, they collect the money and pay the agency not the reverse. Just like any other talent agency your agent takes a % off the top, what that percent is would depend on the amount of work you delegate to them. I've worked with an agency and I don't mind saying I make them work pretty hard, I am specific about my marketing, I have very specific requests regarding calendaring, and I like my dates screened in a certain manner so I don't mind paying a premium for that service. When I was with Garden of Eden in Toronto the owner of the agency was wonderful, she handled a lot of my travel arrangements, my scheduling & screening for dates and when I had to do photos she even went so far as to look for several photographers as I was "fussy" in regards to the first set we did. Not all agencies are like that but she would listen and respond to my individual needs. I had first right of refusal and on days when I was sick, tired or just plain grumpy she would contact my appts. and reschedule as needed. That is what an agency should do, they represent you not the reverse and anytime a lady feels she has to hand over her money, is fined for non-performance, etc. she is being exploited and a woman in that type of situation needs to be given options. -

I'm a little confused about the discrepancy you are talking about and perhaps it's just because I am not familiar with the situation locally. Are you comparing the net profit a lady makes at one agency against what a lady makes at another agency or are you comparing the net profit a lady makes at an agency to the gross profit an independent makes? My first thoughts would be that if there is a large discrepancy between the two competitors in pay rates for agency ladies it should be easy for ladies to leave one agency and work for another, (again correct me if I read this wrong) it sounds from your post that one agency is taking a larger % off the top so their actual rates should be comparable and going from one agency to another should be easy for the ladies forcing the owners to shape up or ship out. On the other hand if the comparison is net profit of an agency lady to gross profit of an independent then one would need to take into consideration the actual costs and time spent by an independent in running a business. Tipping is nice and I don't know a lady that doesn't appreciate it but if the ladies are not making a livable wage or getting 'market value' for their area then they need to look at how they are handling their business and what they can change, not ask the client for a gratuity. -
Off the top of my head I can think of about a half dozen of my female friends with albums on their computer (or Facebook) named "food porn" where they take pics of some of their favorite meals. Now if I look at any of the males I know and were to go through computer albums titled "... porn" I can't think of any one that would have something to do with favorite food meals; they might be favorite things to eat or perhaps a favorite taste but not something they would take a knife and fork too - at least I hope not! :icon_eek:

Agency recommendations in Montreal
Kyra.Graves replied to GuyLabamba's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Have you looked at French Kiss Society, it isn't an agency so it's not specifically what you are looking for but I would probably describe it as a 'collective'; there are a number of independent ladies working together so you have the variety of ladies to choose from just as you would at agency but they work for themselves which can be a nice option. I know a few ladies that work with FKS Toronto and have never heard a bad thing about it and many of the men I've met say the service (the FKS members section) is top notch but I am not a member so perhaps someone with some first hand knowledge might be able to add more or clarify anything I might have messed up. ;) http://www.frenchkisssociety.com/info.html http://www.frenchkisssociety.com/montreal.html -
Okay I'll look as well, my everyday bag is rather big. wallet sunglasses & eyeglasses both in one hardcover case mints x2 gum phone x2 small hairbrush reusable nylon shopping bag pen x3 mineral powder (doubles as sunblock) lipstick x2 hair elastic x4 hair clip (metal) $18.48 in loose change on the bottom empty gum wrappers x6 - which I've now thrown out. My purse tends to get a lot of my garbage, if I don't see a waste basket around I just throw everything in my purse until next time I clean it out. I won't litter so at times I have put some unusual or not generally purse friendly items in there just because it seemed more convenient than holding on to the item and wandering around aimlessly looking for the garbage can that can never be found when you need it.

looking for girls who have pics
Kyra.Graves replied to simpleguy22's topic in Escort Discussion for Thunder Bay
Just as an aside, if a photo appears on your computer screen you can save it, not all guys are this tech-savvy but certainly there are plenty that are. I won't post the details as to how as this appears to be a concern for you but if protecting your pics and image is a serious concern you should be aware that pretty much anything that appears on your computer can be saved should someone wish to put the effort into it - basically once you put it online it's out there for everyone whether you want it to be or not. -
Recommendations/Reviews & References
Kyra.Graves replied to roamingguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think there is a difference between references and reviews, the fact that one is done in public and one in private has a huge impact on function. I have read most of the reviews of me and some are accurate, some are interesting and a couple are complete works of fiction. Even if you take into account the subjectiveness of ones point of view I know that a couple of them never actually happened they describe things that just are not true, things I don't own, I wouldn't do (like my eating a steak  I don't even get why one would lie about that  x2 ), etc. My point is sometimes you have to take into consideration that reviews are written for the audience, they are public and just like one might be looking for 'shills' you have to question bad reviews that might be written to harm a girl as well. If you want an accurate picture of what a lady is like take the best two reviews and the worst two reviews and toss them out and then look at what remains. Oh and as to whether you should write one - well if she likes reviews then by all means do so, afterall you'll be contributing to 'what remains' even if yours is one of the best ones ever written because you'll just be adding to the pile of good reviews. References are written for a private audience it's a one on one conversation so there isn't really a reason to pump someone up or to knock them down - there is no personal gain in it. Providing accurate references is something that is valued and it helps build relationships in the industry which is important when you need a reference or information of your own. If I saw a client and my date was fine but he had negative experiences with another lady I would ensure the lady that contacted me was aware of both experiences. I would tell her that though I had a good date she may wish to contact XYZ to see what her experience was because if she felt it was something to warrant a warning (if it was posted on a date check site) or perhaps it came up in a discussion on a board the lady asking for the reference deserves the opportunity to make an informed decision on whether to see the client. No amount of money is worth risking your health or safety and IMHO that is why references are provided, just because I had a good date does not mean the next lady will and withholding information that may be relevant would be irresponsible. I value these references and hope that the ladies I contact will be forthcoming with any information regarding my safety and I feel I should do the same in return. -

Most spas offer airbrushing if you are looking for a good sunless tan, go for a body scrub then have them apply the tan. It's a bit of a process and you do have to go for repeated sessions every 1-2 weeks depending on how often you shower, shave, workout, etc. but it's probably the most even and safe way to tan if you find that a tanned skin is something you want. Cost varies from spa to spa you can pay as little as $30 for a quick spray tan (partial body) up to about $200 for a full body scrub and personal airbrush treatment - with or without tanlines, highlights, shadows, etc. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sunless-tanning/SN00037 -

A question to all members
Kyra.Graves replied to Loralee Reach's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It varies a lot for me on the date/event but typically I'll wear a cocktail dress or a daytime appropriate fitted dress for dates before 2pm. If we are going out I always answer the door in the outfit I'll be wearing out, no need to scare my date by having him think I am ill prepared for a lunch or dinner. In the daytime I'll usually select a tailored suit and in the evening skirt and heels (or dress). As I get to know someone a little more I like to surprise them, maybe answer in a towel or robe, or maybe I'll leave the door open and soak in the bath until they arrive (or join me), etc. I can count on one hand the number of times I've answered the door in lingerie and typically that is when I am with another girl and we've decided to get a head start. Oddly no one has ever complained about that. ;) -
Descriptive Word Meanings?
Kyra.Graves replied to cat's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I too have had issues with description so I understand it can be difficult to pick the right word. If you have an hourglass shape why not say that? You could also describe yourself as having a classic pin-up build with a mix of slender and curvy in all the right places or maybe say you are small in stature with feminine curves, etc. On sites with a drop down menu where they have a set number of options I either try to avoid selecting one or go with whatever I feel at the moment, you'll never make everyone happy as it's all very subjective. -
The thrill of anonymity
Kyra.Graves replied to Cleo Catra's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
For me one of the most interesting aspects on the board is that a number of members are not anonymous to me yet they are to each other. As a general rule the male members of the board rarely know who the other male members are but the female members may have met a number of them. I enjoy reading and participating in discussions that would likely never take place in our everyday lives - eg. watching a US politician debate border security with a Canadian truck driver, or watching a graphic designer and an actuary get into a long drawn out debate about the accuracy of stats. One of the funniest things I ever saw was someone misquote an industry expert in a debate, the misquote altered the entire meaning of the quote and the person they were engaged in debate with was a colleague of the industry expert. I giggled to myself as I watched the expert try not to out themselves while correcting the information, eventually they just walked away from the entire discussion. -
I think you'll be hard pressed to find any lady that can answer this with any degree of accuracy, every lady has a different market segment and will generally only come in contact with those that are in her target audience. I rarely travel however when I do I still see the same clientele (within reason) and in this day and age it is next to impossible to have more than one 'persona' which will span across all markets. For information with any degree of accuracy you would have to take a sample across all regions and all market levels and to the best of my knowledge this has not been done.

What makes for a good safe word?
Kyra.Graves replied to Seymour's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I always encourage someone to have a Red, Yellow and Green safeword but I don't allow my partners to choose those words. Colours can be used in a number of scenes and are commonly said as a descriptor, if a Domme were to say "Your ass is all red." it would not be unusual for the Sub to repeat a variation of that which would mean end of scene though the person may not mean to call an end to it. I've always encouraged someone to select a safeword that is common in their everyday life but does not play in their fantasy, something that may relate to their job, home life (street, pet, mothers maiden name - it's not just good for retrieving forgotten passwords! etc.) or a favorite food (pomegranate, bananas and grapes can follow the colour scheme and the green and yellow ones you could incorporate into a scene allowing you to stay in the role - be creative - but it's unlikely one will use pomegranate in a scene). I also insist on having a physical cue in case the person is unable to speak.
