This is the Minister of Justice who brought us C-36, after his tenure as Defence Minister, notable for using military helicopters to fly him to fishing lodges. This is the guy who swore, upon being elected leader of the Progressive Conservative Party in 2002 or 2003, never to fuse with Harper's Reform Party. That promise lasted about six months....The rest is the sad history of the last ten years in Canada. -
