  1. I think the idea is very good. Maybe even important. Most of us learn through trial and error, which can be fun, and can also be embarrassing. We end up knowing what we know. But we do not know the things we don't know, a sort of sexual or relationship aphasia. Yes, the exploration with partners certainly helps. But that does not mean we cannot learn more. I would suggest that many of the members on this site (was that a pun?) have a wider range of experiences than those who do not explore. As an example, Berlin recently posted from an SP's perspective about the physical interaction during a date, explaining (to paraphrase) that the best cars have many gears other than race, and that includes park. That tells me that we can all continue to learn. I will state my bias, and suggest that information/instruction is certainly needed when we are young (in age or experience - whichever comes first). But as a hobbiest I would expect that like any "expert" there is a constant curiosity to develop one's skill and knowledge. Hmm, the next poly might turn into a hands-on workshop?
  2. When I read "I think it is a bare necessity " my mind went to the song, and the vision of a cuddly bear came into view. Thanks cat for that image. As to the actual question, sometimes the law is written without the possible range of interpretations that can arise. I would think that physical release reduces frustration, anger, and possibly violence, at least for the individual. I can understand the problem if the individual is annoyingly public about it.
  3. Mind over matter is such a delightful, but misleading phrase. Very few people have ever just walked away from smoking. One intriguing line of research out of the University of Texas states that an addiction is one behaviour that gets attached to another. With smoking, it gets attached to a lot of behaviours (and behavioural cues), such as drinking coffee, or beer, talking with friends, time of day, stressors, where you smoke, and so on. They designed smoke cessation programs based on de-linking the behaviours (if you smoke while driving, then the next time you have a craving in the car, stop, get out, smoke, afterwards get back in the car and drive) - of course Texas does not have our winter. And of course, talk to your doctor.
  4. According to PC World (and over 900 newspapers), it appears that a certain list has redacted a certain category. Maybe now CERB will be focused on the quality people we already enjoy here on this list. Have a great Sunday folks
  5. A mere 16. But compared to their so-called average we are all genius's.
  6. People do develop relationships with their communication devices. If you were to ask them if they have names for their devices they might think you weird. But if you ask them not to answer a ringing phone, watch the reactions. Even if it is not their phone.
  7. I agree with everyone so far. Let me add a proviso. Just be careful if the person is violent, which I certainly believe is not the case for those on this list. People do not like to be criticised. They also do not like to be ignored. You are in a no win situation in regards to declining. If the issue is the actions, then state it is the actions, not the person, that is the problem. If it is both, then simply say no thank-you, and avoid going into the client related reasons. Your comfort and safety are important.
  8. I guess I have been lucky. Yes, I see my fair share of university students who seem to be unaware of the world. Generally inexperienced. At the same time, I have not lost hope in them. I see them become interested, engaged, and even passionate (not that way!) and I feel energized as another student "gets it", understands the importance of the subject. I believe there have always been people who grew up learning as little as they could, depending on leaders. Sometimes those leaders actually knew more, and could make good decisions for the tribe, or citizens. As to spelling. Yes, incorrect grammar and spelling irritate me. And I have been known to tell a student that if they do not respect their own work, why should I mark it? Then hand it back to them, requiring them to rework the essay. I am delighted when after they hand it in again, that they realise their work is better. I look at the students as developing citizens. I can get angry, or I can mentor.
  9. If you cannot keep a secret, why should the person you tell it to?
  10. The fantasy of having a "mistress" may be at play here. Some of the patrons may see their time with an SP as that unique one to one bonding, even if elicit. But when their favourite "relationship" is involved in simultaneous multiple partners, that action explodes the "I am special" myth. Or of course, as has been suggested, maybe their morals are on too tight, by which personal limits are exceeded. Noble if someone were getting hurt, sad when everyone is having a great experience.
  11. On the other hand (always a dangerous phrase on this list), if she exceeds your expectations, why not say it with a tip?
  12. Shades of Emily Pankhurst. Public marches have been going on for over a hundred years (feminists), and more recently the homosexual movement. As Mod seems to suggest there may be interesting responses to the march. I hope all are safe.
  13. Remember to look at the online deals. They will deliver, and save you time and money (if you like staying at home waiting for the printer). If you are going with an inkjet look at the larger ink cartridge. HP has brought their prices down for the ink, compared to two years ago, in large part to compete with the refill industry. Most universities charge you a small amount per page printed. At $0.10 you can print out 1000 pages for $100 on your student card (including the cost of the paper).
  14. Ah, the beauty of snakes. I remember sitting watching the non-appendage type hunting and eating a mouse. There is a slow sensuality to a snake swallowing whole the furry little one.
  15. Ah, T'storm, that was beautiful. Kissing for me is an exploration of the other, and expression of self. A giving and a taking. And yes, darn sensual. It is the range of kisses, the light, the gentle, the teasing, the impassioned, that add so much to the whole experience. And I brush.
  16. I just watched the trailer. It looks like fun. http://www.howtoseducedifficultwomen.com/index.html
  17. I am glad that the verdict was clear headed. As to the comment about the lawyer being in the wrong. Let me give another point of view. Every suspect has the right to have someone speak for them. That often makes the lawyer look like a bad person by association, but not necessarily. The fact that the horrible argument was not accepted, now means that it can not be used again. The value of precedent. So in other words, by losing, the lawyer has shown the "willingness" because of pay argument is invalid.
  18. Thank-you for the clarification. That means a fast fire, independent of the amount of heat felt on the lap. So no laptop use makes sense.
  19. I did a quick search, and yes she does have a profile. Her pictures look wonderful. http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=27128
  20. I remember when Tims had real donut bakers in their stores. I knew one of the guys. I agree they used to taste better back then. On bank street near Laurier there is a tims, and right beside it a small bakery. They make their croissants, muffins, cookies, and assorted desserts on the premises. There are lineups at tims where people can wait ten minutes for a coffee and donut. Next door, better tasting everything and no waiting. It does cost more.
  21. As Mod said, if the laptop was getting too hot (ready to burst into flames) I would remove it from my lap. The linked story had the laptop on fabric. I suggest it was the fabric and not the laptop battery that started burning. The other bit about fabric getting caught up in the machine seems to make sense. The fabric might get pulled in due to the action of the internal fan blowing hot air out. I now have a mini (computer not car, not other "friend"). The heat off of one of these is negligible.
  22. Or maybe Hamilton is absorbed into Toronto?? What with the GO train, or Hamilton being a veritable suburb of TO, I am sure habits might be different. Easier to camouflage so to speak.
  23. Do the research. Post the results. And then write a paper on it for one of the Health journals. See if it gets peer reviewed. Mind you, what you will have done is called a "within subject" design. You might also want to run an analysis of the chemical makeup of the ejaculate before you change your diet, and keep a diet diary to match against the analysis. Then you will want to involve other participants in the project. This is a "between subjects" design. Together you might be able to get a research grant to determine the effects of diet on taste. But also texture, and the "health" interaction between fluid and sperm (remember that the fluid is a nutrient for the sperm). This is where it gets interesting. It is believed that human males are becoming less fertile. Is it our diet? Is the seminal / nutrient fluid become less sustaining for the sperm? And would you like fries with that?
