Coffee and donuts
bylogger replied to NotchJohnson's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Prices going up? Who would have ever thought it! Oh well, I'll have to make my own tea. I used to always drive with a Tim's. But I discovered I actually travel farther, faster, on cold water than hot coffee. And I use fewer public bathrooms. -
Short answer: As often as three times a day, and as few as once a month. Longer answer: When my mind is not fully occupied by "work" of any sort I find that my imagination and nether regions are in cahoots with each other. Then the pressure builds, and release is needed. I like to keep my hands busy.

Yes, the pics are real! Why would you ask?
bylogger replied to Andee's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I admit that I have difficulty recognising people from their pictures. I do not mean doctored pictures. I mean, show me a picture of a friend in a suit, smiling, and a picture of her in a swimsuit with a stern look. Then when I see her in real life, and I sometimes have difficulty recognising the three as being the same. -
I recently saw something that looked like the muppets explaining the use of condoms... http://tellingitlikeitis.tv/ There are five 0:49 second videos, "Watch Lapeno's Sex Ed Lessons". I loved the accent, and felt withered at the "hatchet job". Goodmorning Canada

John schools' try to change attitudes about paid sex
bylogger replied to suburb1's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I understand the stand you are taking. It is certainly more informed than the status quo. I even hope that at some point it will be acted upon. Unfortunately, people want simple answers, simple solutions, that are politically acceptable. So keep working on the sex-workers as professionals side of things. When that becomes understood, the rest will follow. -
The major advantage of the internet is how fast it can spread information. However, it is an invitational forum. Books are closer to a broadcast media. So, yes I can see the value of a blog. Another approach is the "sell the chapters" idea. Create a treatment of what you want to write about, with a completed first chapter. This approach sells the book bit by bit (to a magazine for example) bringing in money in a stream. Then the book gets published. In other words, try the book form first.

It just goes to show you the old proverb about never following an child or animal act holds true for television. Somewhere between funny and embarrassing. -

Show Them The Respect They Deserve
bylogger replied to Lowdark's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Respect is always a good starting place. And it pays off for everyone involved. But there are others in the world who just do not get it. Thanks Lowdark for the vent. -
Oh the wonderful meanings of "bad". When bad means great.

hate crimes against sex workers......
bylogger replied to Susie's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
The types of behaviour you have described certainly follow the pattern of hate crimes. Sadly, it is difficult to get protection for the victim when the societal attitude is actively (or passively) against the victim. Politicians, some of whom may use the services of sex workers, need to be seen as squeaky clean by the public. Protecting sex workers is often considered political suicide. The more exposure the industry generates, the more "normalized" will be the practice, and the more protection it will recieve. But also with more exposure will come more attacks. Definitely hate crimes. -
When I was much younger three times in one day (not one or two hours) actually hurt! Not from the outside, but from the inside. And I am talking physical, not mental. Oh well, after the first time I will have to content myself with added cuddling, massage, and soft conversation.

Interesting, but I found the treatment superficial. -

Session preference
bylogger replied to sexnonstop724's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I am more responsive in the afternoon for some reason. Maybe too sleepy at 6am (though that never seems to stop me). Maybe too tired at 11pm (again it does not stop me). But 2pm is a magic hour. I am alert, awake, and aroused, with the energy to hold up my end (and hers). -
To see the look on my partner's face, to better read the signals (if not moaned aloud), I love light. It can be soft indoor light, and of course, if I am outdoors, then shade (no point getting sunburn while distracted). I like looking at the skin, the texture, the motion, the facial expressions. Hmm, I guess I just like looking at women.

No liquor up front at the BareFax...
bylogger replied to curious2's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
Back in the 70's there was at least one inspector that would suggest a "tip" to help along the liquor license application. That said, after him, all of the inspectors I have met have been reasonable, respectful, and professional. As to responsibility by the house for the patron, it is predicated on "professional knowledge" of the server and serving establishment, and the fact that service is based on profit. Consider it a counter-weight on a balance. I also like to think that drunk patrons can sometimes be more dangerous than sober, for the staff, and other patrons. But as in any regulation, there is room for interpretation. Another case of YMMV (I came across this thread because I was looking for Ottawa strip club reviews)
