  1. I hope that this doesn't lead to a regression of the legality parlours enjoy now. I greatly enjoyed a visit to Kama last time I was in Montreal, and a 'traditional' massage parlour experience is something I'm fond of. I get that guys love sex and massages, but why not meet an escort if that's what you're looking for? Blurring the lines further than they already are can't do any good.

  2. Fully clothed is great, but once I get more comfortable with an SP, being greeted at the door in a favourite set of lingerie is very enticing. The right set of lingerie can be as tempting, revealing and concealing as full attire. I'm ambivalent towards heels - they can look great on a woman and yes, the clicks as she walks towards the door to greet you get my heart racing...but feet and legs aren't my thing, personally, so after the initial excitement they go unnoticed.

  3. Met Summer for the first time the other day. Greeted at the door by a vivacious, pretty woman in a wonderfully tempting short dress. Quick to make me feel comfortable and at home, as if we had met years rather than mere moments ago.

Transition to the fun activities was seamless and she makes sex fun as well as erotically charged. Those who think a covered bj is inferior to bbbj should seek her services to have their minds changed. Lavished attention to every inch and contour, making me struggle to hold back. The look in her eyes and the steamy contact between us was too much to bear.

Summer Meadows is a special, talented service provider. She deserves the love and respect from the clients in this city. Lets treat her right and make sure she wants to stay here for a good long while.

  4. The World-Wide Web (and the Internet as a whole) is very given to populist collaboration and connection; I think this is by-and-large laudable, but we can certainly see many dark aspects. The online, non-expert review is one of those areas that I feel is highly subject to abuse, whether intentional or not. Skim the user-reviews from an online magazine or newspaper for a restaurant and you will see some thoughtful, reasoned critiques and praises, but often you will find a glut of knee-jerk reviews that were written without the benefit of thought or time. Put these elements into the context of service providers and their clients, and you have a recipe for disaster. It is tempting to view and review our encounters the same way we might review a piece of electronics for Newegg; we have to remember that there are multiple layers of human interaction at work in this hobby that don't lend themselves to simplistic thumbs up/thumbs down reviews, and can lead to serious abuses. Not all hobbyists carefully read the rules/etiquette for service providers, or even consider that there are any at all. I don't believe we can trust the majority of the hobbyist public to thoughtfully consider how their appearance/actions/attitude are implicated in our transactions. In this context, I feel CERB has made a wise decision to exclude all but scam- or saftey-related negative reviews.

  5. I love a good rub n' tug, so finding a place that has been consistently good is a boon for me. I'd like to pass on my recommendation for a downtown location, advertised lately in the Coast and the Herald as "recession rates massage". It's run by a woman named Brandy, with at least one other attendant. Walking downtown Halifax, you may notice a small sign outside a nondescript black door advertising "Healthy Glow Spa". This is the place. I don't know if they do walk-ins, so I'd advise calling the number on the sign or in the ads to book an appointment.

Last time I was there I was attended to by a woman named Jenna. She is white, mid-thirties, very tight body and perky A-cups. HJ release is included with the hour or 1/2-hour rate, and tips can get some add-ons.

The room I've been in each time has a large mirror on the wall, a small lamp for ambient light, and a stereo playing some light spa-ish music. The table is not the most comfortable I've laid on, but not uncomfortable. The table drifted from my thoughts as the massage started anyway.

Jenna's massage was fantastic, slow, deep, and skilled (she apparently has some massage therapy training). She really knows how to get my muscles loose.

The handjob was spectacular. Sensual, a little teasing, this wasn't just a mechanical jerk. Magical hands. To finish it all off, you get a wipe-down with a hot towel to clean up and remove the oil from the massage.

This is a great little place to get some relaxation. Highly recommended.

  6. AmberWyld remarked in another thread that incall can be sketchy if one is downtown Halifax - near the bars, etc. The last time GMC was busted before they finally closed, I remember reading some comments made by people who lived in that area; apparently there were many instances of people exiting the bars, and deciding they wanted to visit GMC - only to be so drunk they knock on the wrong door, disturbing slumbering residents. Even though I patronized that location (never while intoxicated!), I can certainly understand the nuisance that would cause. I suspect from some comments the SPs made that drunks were a significant portion of the clientele. Which leads me to question the conventional wisdom that brothels provide protection for the women. Clearly it is a step up from walking the street, but is it good enough?

  7. Thanks, all for the discussion.

I'd agree that Park Avenue was not the classiest building. The lineup is awkward, and I also would prefer to phone ahead and see who was available, and make an appointment.

I can see that the lineup may have been unavoidable from the establishment's proprietor perspective. A "menu" or on-line photo/description may be difficult to maintain what with the high rate of employee turnover.

Ultimately, it was the wonderful experiences with wonderful ladies that makes me look on these places somewhat nostalgically (though I admit the hot tubs were particularly nice on a cold fall/winter's night). I have my doubts that we'll another place like these any time soon in Halifax. We probably don't have the client base for a high-end place, and the laws and NIMBY attitude would make it difficult for a prospective establishment-owner to set up shop.

We do, however, have an increasing number of wonder SPs who are using the internet in amazing ways to get the word out.

  8. What with the former Gentleman's Massage Parlour and Park Avenue closing down, and the debacle with the new strip club a couple years ago, I was wondering if anyone else thinks the time of the bawdy house is good and dead - at least in Halifax. Is the current legal and moral zeitgeist inconducive to the brothel? I'll admit to being fond of this type of establishment, when done properly of course, but with the rise of the internet and the independent escort, I'm thinking these buildings are gone the way of the dodo. Thoughts?
