Why we ask for a phone number
etasman2000 replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I was in the same position and got a pay-as-you-go phone from the now non-existent 7-11. PetroCanada has a similar offering and there is no need to leave behind any contact information unlike Rogers or Bell prepaid. -
I'm pretty certain the list use to be sorted with the current logged in user name first. eg I also notice the following active users without any profile links what are these bots doing ?

Unsure....getting caught???
etasman2000 replied to Kenny Micheals's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Unfortunately only outcalls are legal in Canada. Incalls are illegal however for low volume SP there has been little trouble. Previous threads on cerb seem to indicate that a majority of incall SP had no problems with law enforcement. Again, unfortunately some law enforcement agencies would charge the clients as well or at least force them to go thru John School. If you want to be 100% safe stick with outcalls. -
Police from China flew to the Democratic Republic of Congo in November in the country's first operation to rescue women trafficked to Africa, according to the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post. They found 11 Chinese women who had been promised decent jobs in Paris by traffickers but ended up working in a Chinese-owned karaoke bar in the country's capital Kinshasa, the newspaper said. After a joint raid by Chinese and Congolese police on the karaoke bar, however, the women decided to stay in the country, saying it was easier to make good money there than in China. Chinese police official Yin Guohai told the newspaper, "They make 100 US dollars for receiving one guest - half of the money goes to their boss and they keep the other half." As well as prostitution, the women, mostly from China's underdeveloped Sichuan province, were able to take cheap goods from China to Africa after visits home and sell them for big profits, Yin said. An estimated 5,000 to 6,000 Chinese people, many of them traders or businessmen involved in the mining industries, live in the Congolese capital Kinshasa. Original article.

Treats and gifts for an SP on the first visit
etasman2000 replied to RobX's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
Flowers! True if you walk in with a dozen red roses it would make for some fast talking for both parties. There are neutral flowers: lilies, lilacs, tulips, carnations. Its a matter of being wise about it. -
Question for the ladies...
etasman2000 replied to Sensual Erin's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. General protocol dictates that compensation be taken care of first before all else. And yes he might contact you with another email but you also have the option of turning him away at the door. -

Rookie reference question
etasman2000 replied to superjackjujitsu's topic in Escort Discussion for Nova Scotia
It is possible to short cut all this by using an adult verification service like Date Check or Adult Check. Google for AVS and there is a long list of them. -
Or guys too lazy to write recommendation, which happens more often then you think.

I willing admit it had been 2 years since coming across her website before I took the initial steps of meeting victoria. of course the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray, this time by capricious hotel maintenance. The 30 mins extra delay was very much worth the wait. Walking in I was stun to find myself face to face with the voluptuous Victoria Jolie dressed in heels, wire mesh bra, panties and garter belt, my favored attire on a lady. How did she know ? Unlike most of my encounters we started with few words before I was pulled onto the bed. After a magical moment we laid together and had our talk. Victoria is very open, unpretentious, and someone who garner trust from you. However, talking to Victoria is a dangerous endeavour, as talking leads to touching and touching to 'dancing'. Later we made use of the jacuzzi to cool down where more talking issued, which lead to .... well ... you get the picture.

Odd way to be indiscreet
etasman2000 replied to Megan'sTouch's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I disagree with your statement. As namssa indicated it could be coincidence the names are similar. For all we know someone random was browsing cerb, thought the name was cool and decided to use it. Routers broadcast and all Megan found out was the router was somewhere in the vicinity. Of course given the number of houses around, apartments etc etc it might not take much to pin-point things. If the gent does outcalls other SPs would already know his domicile. Or he is unashamed he is a hobbyist and doesn't see anything wrong with his lifestyle made public. Having said that .... please please lock down your wireless routers using WPA2 or WPA at the minimum. And most of us could turn off wifi network name (SSID) broadcast without any issues. -

Everyone definition of PSE differs enough that you should really ask the SP in question. One SP described hers to me as being raunchier.

Identity theft??????
etasman2000 replied to Loralee Reach's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
What you describe seems like card skimming. Debit cards are considered equivalent to cash and the actual terms of services allows the bank to consider purchases with debit as final. Credit card use to be treated differently, liable for only the first $50. However the new chip cards have a different terms of services. Read yours, mine says I'm now liable for all purchases. Ugh! a 4 digit pin isn't going to stop anything. What does help is the fact that I have to slot the card in plain sight. Makes it much hard for thieves to skim the card. But still...... Bottom line, credit card is safer then debit card but cash is always king. -

Caveat: This might be old information and incorrect for the latest devices. Another reason it is slow browsing is because all your browser connections go thru RIM. It might use your Wi-Fi to head out but it passes thru RIM's server. This is to allow it to compress and streamline the web page to fit the BB's browser. I've only tethered my iPhone, no experience with BB tethering.
-
If the wi-fi tag is on you are very certainly using wi-fi. And yes the biggest and common complain is BB's wifi is slow, actually the browser is slow. RIM is suppose to address this issue with its latest and greatest devices.
