  1. lol....i spend little on meals when i travel alone. most of the cheap restaurants anywhere in the world then to be Chinese/Indian/Lebanese. and yes i did mean actual food. 'corner cuisine' i pass on. not worth the risk!
  2. *ouch* I am well known within the company as a cheap-foodie when I travel, targeting the corner Indian/Chinese/Lebanese restaurant regardless of which country I am in. Of course one countermeasure is to take an SP out on a dinner date ;-) And yes I do agree on each bullet point of Samantha's rant.

  4. A 16 mins presentation by Mary Roach in this year's TED Conference.
  5. Never met her but Michelle_MA has a good reputation as a MA/MP.
  6. 15 in Sweden although prostitution is illegal...something about being degrading to women...
  7. Sweden....bestiality is legal there...something about consenting adults.... yeah both are wtf for me too....
  8. Yes and there is an old pyschiatrist/psychologist (likely doctors and lawyers too) maxim: "the payment is part of the counselling" :-P
  9. Unfortunately most EP become unwilling consellors. After all they are open to the one taboo subject of most societies i.e. sex. They might also be the first person willing to actually listen to a client. Plus the range of 'perverted and weird' can be quite large, BDSM or golden showers anyone ? [1] What someone finds 'preverted and weird' and possibly sexually thrilling could be within a norm for an EP. It is true that this particular related incident would be outside most, if not all, our range of norm. Yes! We don't know for sure. ............-- [1] no way a reflection of my personal fantasies, merely find these weird.

    Veronica

the first thing that caught my eye was your face, the way your hair falls over it and your parted lips....divine.
  11. Talk to her, understand where she is coming from, be up front with your feeling about it, find a resolution (which might mean a goodbye), stick to it. All the best
  12. Well after reading the Contact section of particular SP and following her First Contact instructions to the letter I was horrified to find she did not state the protocol for subsequent email contacts! Naturally I winged it and hoped for the best....
  13. and that people is the genuine smoke meat :) Interestingly these are the subtle quirks which we hobbiest don't realize or consider until someone tells us or we read of it on an SP's website. Cheers
  14. Yet when the old lion *roars* the young bucks would still dash helter-skelter. Cheers
  15. Well put! I would add 'every hobbiest has to respect the SP as well'. Especially her downtime away. This was driven home yesterday when I took a me-day. Went to a seminar, chilled out downtown, window shopped, browsed Chapters etc and today I'm ready for work again.
  16. With the Mac running a Unix core some of us hoped it would be sooner then later.
  17. having use both I personally prefer Photoshop. Gimp feels....clunky. If you want something done cheaply Gimp is worth a shot. If you are doing this daily you should give Photoshop a look.
  18. For two years running Dirienzo was place of choice, once a week we did a mass order of over 15+ sandwiches for the office lunch. Pure Gelato is amazing! I didn't know about that place until recently when I got a special someone some to share. We both loved it! Second capitalman's baklava from Brioche. Singapore Restaurant, best chicken satay and beancurd+sprouts in O-town. Nando's for their hot chicken liver.
  19. I found the first 100 were easy, now it is a slooow ride up. However having said that....I'm totally rooting for you! You go girl!
  20. I trade my services for a government backed merchandise. Strangely other individuals don't seem to mind trading their goods or services with me using this merchandise as a medium. Worked well so far.
  21. I would argue writing is a form of catharsis. It is now out there instead of in here. So far noone has written a recommendation and stated date time and location nor do we use our real names, even for those with nothing to hide. This means no tracks to cover. It would be true if all the free time is spent having the date however this is seldom (never?) the case. We currently take time to post/read threads, interact with other hobbiest and SP via chat or PM. Writing a recommendation is just another form of interaction. My 2 cents and neither am I Dr. Phil :-o
