  1. i'm currently using it on my mac to run a windows for a tax software. it does its job.
  2. depends i guess. me and sixernine were tearing up the place today and we have witnesses :)
  3. my points were addressed saliently. i concur with your arguments especially regarding a geographically fair baseline. on a personal note, i also use the compensation as a filter; too low and i would avoid, too high i might avoid. might because i am willing to save up for the experience.
  4. I've heard arguments against a lower "introductory" rate. It just means I would prefer being a constant "first timer". I was told a long time ago: "There are no first-time clients, only first-time potential clients. When they repeat then they can be considered a client." Lets talk about a 'fair' compensation. What is a 'fair' compensation ? Without a comparison or baseline how do I know what is fair which is especially true to first timers. Fair to whom ? To me or to you ? Fair in which context ? By my ability or your bills to pay ? Fair where ? For someone from Montreal visiting Ottawa ? Is it fair for him to compensate using his familarity of Montreal ? I leave you with a final thought. Businesses have been known to use pricing as a differentiator, both to include only certain clients and to project an air of sophistication or worth. The same can be applied to an SP. How would you replace this aspect of the compensation ?
  5. What you wrote above is worth its weight in gold. This is true even for those outside this profession, and it equally applies to a guy. You forgot courage. Justice is knowing what is right from what is popular. Empathy is walking in another shoes. Courage is upholding justice with empathy. Your son shows courage.
  6. Could be. Its not very consistent. I have a debug version of flash player installed now and it seems to be working ok.
  7. we are talking about kyra_to right? then the missing part you changed is likely a truck. 16 wheeler no less.
  8. great! now we are in for an interesting 'Mac vs PC' ad. Hello I'm a Mac ....Hello I'm a PC I love being on Cerb ....Really so do I! Just having problems with Chat ....Strange, no problems with Chat ....The girls love PC more *Mac pouts*
  9. after having firefox crash trice i can't reproduce it again. might be something else going on. thanks [spoke too soon: crash firefox yet again - i'm chalking it up as a bad firefox version]
  10. Firefox 3.0.7 MacOS 10.5.6 Exiting Chat kills Firefox. Anyone else experiencing the same thing ?
  11. I haven't personally gone to an SP's however my snap answer is 'yes I would' Recognize that a funeral is really for the people who know the deceased and not for the deceased. It is quite ok to say 'He/She really impressed me the few times we met and I felt I should be here' It is quite ok to say 'We met for work/ We bump into each other around town' It is quite ok to feel compelled to go and didn't. Sometimes the intention is what counts.
  12. Most SP here on cerb are independent, those who aren't would be clearly stated in their recommendation. As for the rest: upscale, beautiful, slim, friendly you will have to provide more details since each of us have a very different line-in-the-sand. Might be easier to take discreet values or ranges as a criteria first: height, weight, location, incall/outcall etc It would make it easier on your search and sure you might lose a few gems. Since you have been fishing for some time you must know in general who you like. Look through these SPs recommendations and profile. Mark out other *hobbiest* with a similar taste. Look at these *hobbiest* other recommendations for new ideas. Good luck on your search.
  13. These are the two I found relatively quickly. I'm sure there are others. http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=6329 http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=28164#post28164
  14. If we could get in! Word on the street is folks are retiring then coming back a few weeks later as consultants. That large sucking sound from retiree isn't happening. The avg wait time from interview to job offer is hovering around the 2 years mark. That said, save for your fav SP guys because she is worth it! Posted via Mobile Device
  15. I prefer: with age comes erotism :) And Who says you aren't a hottie today Emma A! Because they would be lying. ET Posted via Mobile Device
  16. When I click on the 'Chat Room' link it pops up the window, then gives me an auth error as before. I have to manually type in my username/passwd and it works from then on. Thanks

    Mac's

imovie is great! I've been editing tutorials for my friend for over a year now using it. Recently video captured several internal company talks, did some editing in imovie and uploaded to the local intranet. The first! I can't wait to get a new iMac and the latest iLife series.
  18. Filters are only as good as the entries they contain. They don't make effective blockers for most sites i.e. works for Playboy or Hustler and fail miserably for the local agency. In not so much as parental monitoring as much as opening yourself up for potential legal action. Unless twitter provides a disclaimer stating possible adult content you might be on tenuous grounds. IANAL though :)
  19. I tried Safari, Firefox and Opera on my Mac. No go. I am not installing IE on this laptop :)
  20. This is an excellent usage of twitter! Thanks for letting us here know of it. The issue remains though, verifying minors or even verifying individuals who are in a location where your twitters are legal.
