I think the solution is to be extremely diligent in blacklisting clients.. We dont give a second chance to no shows.. its not worth the headache.. we turn at least 20 blacklisted ppl away daily.. even if they swear up and down they are showing up this time..

I gave them a copy of our blacklist to help on their security matters. (something I would do for any agency that wishes to do the same for us). And to answer your question Pete, many many clients ask us who do we have that is new? By having fresh new faces it keeps people happy to have this kind of choice.. I went through the ads that were posted yesterday and I didnt find the post that you were referring to, and I will address this with Lisa as she was doing some postings yesterday. That said, she was doing some postings for Zodiac on their behalf as they were just getting things going and its a learning curve for them. One of the biggest advantages with working with Zodiac is that they have alot of talent they will be bringing into Ottawa from Toronto and MTL so by being able to book calls for them it will offer us the ability to book more calls instead of turning away business. And to you the consumer it offers you more talent to choose from, at the end of the day everyone benefits. Getting back to Sashafox or Holly (when she was with us before) it was just good timing that she jumped on board. I suggested she takes calls from both numbers to give her as much business as she wanted. Its amazing all the conspiracies and silly postings that go on whenever someone tries something new or changes workplaces. This is a very transient industry and things change all the time.

Ok so let me clarify things... I know the owners of zodiac. They are from Mtl and we have known them for years. I let Dom know that if he wanted a bit of help getting going, I would give him a hand. Over the years he has helped me in other endevours. Again no big agency conspiracy, we have a tremendous amount of calls so instead of turning down business I direct some his way. I spoke to Sasha this afternoon, (we are on very good terms). She is taking calls from Zodiac for the time being. She changed location as she was working with Jet Set down on Bronson and it wasnt going so well there.. That is all I know at the present time..

Alot of hotels dont accept prepaid CCs.. The ones that do are pretty much the same ones that will accept cash.. That said, you can pay for hotels online with a prepaid..But again there is nothing secret about it as you have to show id for a pre-paid CC anyways.. Even then, when you check into the hotel they will still ask you to have a cc on file.. and some hotels wont accept the pre-paid .. You are then S.O.L. You will have to get a refund through the priceline ect and that might be an issue as well.. There are becoming fewer holes in the system..

Its actually a 100 deposit for a room there.. The marriot downtown does accept cash.. but requires a 50 dollar deposit.. It is not possible to get a room without ID.. Anywhere..

I think that half is still a bit on the high side.. I know with some agencies that are outcall only, the half does include the fee to pay the drivers. Here's the thing, in order to keep an agency running obviously there has to be a good income in order to pay the bills.. Phone bills, advertizing and staffing the phones can cost a pretty penny. When Indy you have to absorb the costs, and while its true that you will make more per call.. You do miss out on opportunities when you phone rings and you cant answer it. Its a strange phenomenon, in this business its almost like fishing.. when its busy its like the fish are biting.. and they are all biting at the same time and when its dead.. you check your phones thinking something is wrong.. If you are busy when the phones are too alot of clients will just continue on the next ad and you wont get to see them.. If you have a person answering for you, and scheduling properly it can really really add up.. Again, just my point of view..

Here's the thing.. If I get a pm that is fairly recent then I will respond to it.. But if it is asking about an appt date that has already passed then I wont bother.. Normally I ask that someone calls as I like to have their number run through our blacklist.. Alot of ppl we have barred in the past have tried to book through Email to avoid us realizing who they are.. We often remember the person's voice as well so for safety's sake we prefer doing the live phone bookings..

Sorry to dissapoint you, but Veronica is long since retired from the biz. This is one lady we do miss, she was truly amazin on all levels and for ppl that still remember her.. Doubt there is anyone who would disagree.. As the Mod pointed out, this was a thread that had started in 2007

I do prefer to speak live with someone rather than PMing them.. I never want anything lost in translation, and I like to know who I am speaking with. Its just like text messages.. You can't read tones and sometimes things are taken out of context.. Biggest thing is that I dont check my cerb acct everyday..

One of the reasons you should Never do an outcall that doesnt provide you with a landline.. There is absolutely nothing to say where that person actually is.. Extremely dangerous...
