  1. I'll explain the situation with TXTing. We don't book by text for a number of reasons. First reason is that my phone is forwarded to my receptionist(s) there fore they do not get the txts. So it would mean that I would have to call them to find out if the lady is booked or not, then relay it 3rd party. This can get confusing to say the least. Second reason is I am often on the road, and can;t pull over everytime I have a txt, and I don't really feel like risking my ass, to start answering the same questions over and over again. Rates are on the site, if they really need the info they can check it out. Third reason is, and I know alot of you may disagree, txters are often tire kickers, and time wasters. They just want info, and often are no shows. Often I ask them to call, and they say they are too shy. Well if they are too shy to call, what are the odds that they will actually show up? Not so good. For us its a screening process, and if someone is willing to call, we are willing to spend our time and effort on them to ensure they get what they are looking for. I do understand guys who are at work and can't call, So I normally say, take 1 min when they are on break or call on the way out of the office and we would be super happy to help them out. We don't keep records of our good clients, only the bad ones. So unless I remember the guy, I really don't do much by txt. No point, I would rather focus on guys who are serious and want to see a lady for sure, that way we dont block up a lady's time with someone who is a dud. This is good business for the client, and the lady. It's just out point of view, but for us it's been a part of the way we do things and it really has cut down on our no shows dramatically.
  2. I think that is a vey fair comment. Really, as long as the receptionist is clear, understanding, friendly and gives good directions to incall locations and takes good directions for outcall locations. Ottawa has some good options for sure.
  3. Most hotels in Ottawa are not accepting pre-paid credit cards. Unless it is a hotel that will take cash anyways. If you were to go with say a capital One card, it had the raised lettering and it can be pre-paid or not so hotels can't tell either way.
  4. I think alot of us have a problem with eye hand co-ordination on this site. Especially if some of are typing with only one hand.. LOL Honestly you bring up a good point. It is important to have a good communication flow in this industry. I can only speak for our situation, and we have female receptionists who are experienced and are very easy to talk to. Some are former escorts, and the have a pretty good report with clients.
  5. That would be Pink Kitty.. But close enough. LOL
  6. I have to speak from our experience. When we first started, it was a tough go. It takes time, and we started with ONE lady. Slowly we grew, we made a tonne of mistakes, and we got better. If this was 7 years ago, and guys with strong reps started to bash us before we got our feet wet. Probably wouldnt be here. Ottawa is a strong enough market to have good competition, and it's a new year. As I mentioned on the othe board, if I am being honest we don't ALWAYS answer the phone. If this is a new agency, and they are getting swamped, they might not either. Just sayin, before we throw another one under the bus. Perhaps we may want to consider, giving them a day to get themselves together. One day, we will close our doors and some other new kids on the block will want to fill the void. When that happens, I hope that Cerb and the escort community extended the courtesy they did to us 7 years ago That's the way I see it, but I could be wrong.
  7. I just commented on the other board, and just to echo things. People often complain about selection in Ottawa. And when a new company is poppin up everyone is paranoid. My question is this, how would any agency get off the ground if ppl were slammin them before they even started? Glad we didn't start when the market was so aggressive. Don't get me wrong, sometimes, (many times) there are new agencies that flop. But there seems to be a few "micro agencies" that are operating recently, and many have some attractive talent. I think healthy competition is good for the market, otherwise it goes flat and stagnant. ( we have seen it happen in Ottawa) Some of our competitors look like they are upping their game. It will make us up ours and get creative. Clients win.
  8. Right, but I'm sure we all know I was referring to genital Herpes which is what I think we are all concerned about.
  9. I can only speak about us, but if we had a lady or public health nurse informed us we would act on it immediately. First the lady would have to have proof of treatment if it was something that was treatable, but if it was something like herpes that was not curable we would not be able to work with the lady further. In our experience, the only ladies in the past that have contracted an std/sti actually got it from their personal relationships not their work relationships. For the most part, ladies are more likely to engage in higher risk activies (bbfs) with a boyfriend than a client that protection is used. In both of those instances, we terminated our agreement with the ladies involved.
  10. I personally think its a damn shame to lose such a great member of Cerb. Pete's hitting the nail on the head with what he is saying and so is the Mod. To those of you that are trying to sweep this under the rug, I respectfully ask you review your position. Cerb has lost some very good ppl this year. This needs to be addressed properly. Less posts, and reviews, makes this a less interesting environment. Less ppl come, less ppl see your ads, less traffic = less money for Cerb. These kinds of attitudes, and cliques have to stop. (you know who you are) It's going to end up biting all of you guys that are responsible in the ass. He is a regular contributor, and for all of you that have had him as a client will attest to, a gentlemen and what most ladies would look for in an ideal customer. Time to wake up, seriously.
  11. It's amazing how many ppl think they can book with a blocked number. We answer and just tell ppl to call back from an unblocked number. We don't bother wasting time on them. It never is worthwhile.
  12. I would also think that one of the other reasons that touring ladies have higher rates in general would be due to cancellations that have to factored in when talking about ROI in their travel costs, hotels.. ect. The part that really needs to come through in all of this is, if you are not 100 percent sure you can honor your appt, don't book it! It causes everyone grief, it makes the no show look like a schmuck and in the end everybody loses.
  13. Perhaps the list could be verified by other SP for example, if client X at 613-xxx-xxxx failed to honor his appt on this time and Day is then followed up by other ppl it would have alot more weight than if it is coming from a relatively unknown SP with no reputation either way. overall I think the good would vastly overwhelm the bad side of this. I can say this, we are very diligent on blacklisting offenders and we get at the min 15 ppl a day still try to make appts that are on the list.. We send them packing.. and we have them appologizing and realizing their mistake. We do from time to time, give 2nd chances if the client seems genuine. And these guys we do, usually dont screw up twice.
  14. At the end of the day folks, this business whether we care to believe it or not, is unlike most. It involves a personal experience, and a vulnerability that is unique to anything in the business world. Both for the SP and for the Client. Clients cancel for a variety of reasons, most of the time it really won't seem legit. Sometimes it is. Fact of the matter is as much as we want to take the same approach as a Doctor or Lawyer would with a cancellation fee, in my experience I don't believe it will work. What I think would work is to have a better communication amongst Service providers, and Agencies and even MPs and setup a very clear network. When some guy doesn't show, he doesnt deserve a second chance if he doesnt call to cancel. If he changes his mind last min he doesnt get a second chance. And then post it on this list, date it, with proper info including phone numbers, emails, names ect.. guess what? If he calls 5 ladies and they tell him where to go, and what to do when he gets there, he will get the message loud and clear. Make this a standard proceedure across the board and it will put the ppl that don't care about your time, in their place. I know this may sound harsh, but in reality it is a small number of ppl that do this. The vast majority of ppl are very respectful and there is never an issue. This suggestion will serve our good clients as well, as it will free up time that would have been available to them had the inconsiderate A-holes essentially *cock block* them by likely booking 3-4 appts and choosing to honor only one of them.
  15. Something like that could actually cause more harm than good. Performance mods for VW definitely help, but realistically if you are driving so little I would use that money towards keeping the maintenence on it.. Oil spraying it would be a good investment of 70 bucks with guaranteed results.
  16. Here's the thing, there are what they call engine chips and then there are Flash Tuners. In a simple answer, there are absolutely huge benefits for power and performance in tuning your car or truck. But it is important to buy a quality tuner, from a reputable supplier. I'm a Mopar Guy and my Diablosport preditor is one of the best upgrades I have ever done. It increased the throtle response, transmission shifting and overall horsepower. As well it's usually recommended that you get a high flow air intake/filter like K&N..
  17. Realistically the only way that a cancellation fee would work is if everyone was to get together and do it.. However, I don't think that is going to happen and as a result it may alienate you and actually might turn off potential clients and cost you even greater losses long term. I totally get you, and we get no shows and last min cancellations too. It is really unfortunately part of the Ottawa scene. Totally sux, and if someone is a no show, or if we have to call the client to find out that he cant make it, we blacklist them.. Eventually if more ppl would do this I think the message would get across these guys.
  18. I don't know if she will even return to this line of work.. who knows?
  19. Ladies do call us from time to time asking for a reference on ppl. We are always happy to oblige.
  20. No not really, we Occasionally work in quebec.. but it requires alot of prebooking planning ect.. so we havent really been active lately on that side of the river.
