Something to ponder
Missy Mariposa replied to v*****m*n's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This made me laugh out loud. What kind of skeezy provider would do that? Man. If you book an hour you get a real hour. 60 minutes. Regardless of what they tell us to do to our clocks. -
Is Twitter Making Escorts Celebs?
Missy Mariposa replied to LickiLicki's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm not a big fan that guys terminology, which I told him on twitter. He basically said he just likes to use colourful language. I have a twitter and a blog. http://twitter.com/ingodwetryst -
Going Flaccid When The Cover Goes On
Missy Mariposa replied to LickiLicki's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I know of men using L-arginine. It works wonders if you take it regularly. You get harder and get an improvement in sensation as well. Do your research on this before using it though - the results vary greatly. Some men only need small doses to feel the affects, some need larger. Caffeine negates the effects, so don't bother if you have a coffee or tea habit ;). Consult your doctor. DO NOT TAKE IT IF YOU HAVE ANY HEART PROBLEMS. -

To the Mrs who like Negotiating
Missy Mariposa replied to Miss Maria's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Now THIS I understand and agree with this. Though I wouldn't consider our profession a privilege - anyone can make it if they have the confidence, charisma, and personality :). Confidence can be the most sexy thing in the world. And negotiators suck. I also disagree that it kills the mood to say "no" flat out. You don't negotiate hair salons, manicurists, mechanics, or plumbers. I deserve the same respect. -

While I agree negotiating is rude, I don't really consider it a "priviledge" (sic) to spend time with an escort and I think you sound overly arrogant. It's like saying it's a privilege to spend time with a hairdresser or doctor. As a service provider you are in fact in customer service. Frankly, you spend "intimate time" with people to pay your rent. There's no privilege involved in it just because you select your customers. And being in customer service, you're going to encounter a lot of sucky customers and potential customers. You just need to grin and bare it. Put a disclaimer on your website in bold about hanging up on negotiations and call it a day. What I find tacky and rude is complaining about it in a venue where potential clients may read it. There's a place and time for everything. And while I don't mean to sound bitchy, I'm really shocked to see a post like that from someone I see as classy. -
I love costumes, but I only really carry one (due to demand) which is a school girl outfit.

Shaved Verus Unshaved
Missy Mariposa replied to Capital Hunter's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I'm a natural redhead with light brown pubic hair. My PERSONAL preference for myself is like shaving and letting it grow back for 2 weeks. And then that's it. It's there, but it's not enough to interfere but it's not stubble. That being said, I get Brazilians because shaving is just a huge pain in the ass. With Brazilians I get to be smooth 2 weeks, and then I get a couple weeks of the hair style (so to speak) that I like before my next wax. My clients understand that I have to have a small amount of growth since I get waxes, and I've had no complaints. -
SP Career Decision

I plan on working until the demand is gone. I love my job. -
I ask for a lot of information on my reservation form. However, I only REQUIRED a few very important things in terms of personal information: An alias (I need something to call you!), an age RANGE, your sex, what you do for a living (but not where you do it, and you can be vague), a personal email address, a little bit about you, and one of my security checks. If it's too much to give me an alias, age range, what kind of work you do, an email address...well then I'm not the provider for you I guess.

Reputation point system - faq
Missy Mariposa replied to mod's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Hahaha, yes! I agree wholeheartedly. :-P -
I would never ever ever ever even consider asking for a photo. It goes both ways though: I more than likely wouldn't let a client take a photo of me at an appointment either unless it was a long time regular. There's a hobbyist blogger (krooklyn [dot] com) that insists on doing this for his blog. I just don't think I'd be okay with that personally so it works both ways. I respect a client not wanting to send me a picture (and again, I'd NEVER ask for it), I'd hope he respects me not posting full facial pictures. As far as a bust or whatever goes, I posted the pictures on the internet knowing the risks of people saving them, sending them to my family, etc etc etc.

Canada Mints
Missy Mariposa replied to Missy Mariposa's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
They're made by Necco, like Sweetheart candies and whatnot. I don't think we get many other Necco products up here. But yeah, apparently they were sold in Canada first didn't do so well and then went to the US where they're still made today. Came out in the late 1800s or something like that. Personally, I think they're horrible. They really do taste like IcyHot smells. But my ex roommate swears by them. -
Does anyone eat these? My former roommate in the US figured that since I live in Canada, I could get these and send them back to him. Much to his dismay, they don't actually sell them here and the part of the US he lives in so now he has to bulk order them on the internet. Anyway, I was wondering if there's any Canadians who actually eat "Canada Mints". I can't stand them myself, this comic sums it up: http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z182/Jul3ia/Pink-Canada-Mints.jpg

Obama visits Ottawa
Missy Mariposa replied to risque's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
While I am white, two of my primary caregivers as a child were black. The racism I've seen in my life is horrifying and depression. When people saw my caregiver at school, I was no longer allowed to go to other kids houses, and no one was ever allowed to come to mine. I heard 7 year old kids using the N word against them. When I was in TN I heard people say shit like "If that N is elected, I'm joinin the clan and waiting for the monkey and his family to get taken out. Then I'm gonna f-ing party" United States of America, the melting pot  -
Obama visits Ottawa
Missy Mariposa replied to risque's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
He's black. The security HAS to be way over the top. During his campaign alone 10 or so people were arrested for inauguration day assassination plots. The running jokes were "Vote Joe Biden". And I'm honestly just waiting in fear for him to be assassinated. America is still so backwards when it comes to race issues that I'm honestly surprised this guy doesn't walk everywhere in an Iron Man suit. -
Obama visits Ottawa

I realise that he didn't totally fix it, but his programs helped ease the suffering. And I'd love to see that happen now. It is going to take something big to get us out of it, maybe not another World War or anything but something major, but a safety net would be nice for the people who are suffering. I left the US before it got bad and the income I have is recession proof (I'm not referring to being an SP, I have other income in the US). And while I never had an ARM mortgage and I didn't live outside of my means, I still feel incredibly blessed/lucky/whatever you want to call it that I am not suffering right now. -

The market was screwed long before Obama got in, it's only been a month I think he needs a bit more time. Everytime I hear someone talking about what Obama has or hasn't done, I think people need to remember that he's not God, he can't just snap his fingers and fix everything, this is gonna take YEARS to fix. It wasn't broken overnight, it won't be fixed overnight. That being said, I don't think Harper would do much better with the economy. Everyone here just complains about him nonstop. I don't think I've honestly met one person yet that likes him. I do know they exist though, I'm not dumb ;). Honestly, I don't think anyone short of like...FDR would be able to fix this economy quickly. -
Yep! Mandrake (now Mandrivia) used to do that too. I just downloaded Kubuntu though as I am way too impatient to wait on a CD.

Hey there, I'm running a laptop with Kubuntu Linux 64 on it. I find it just as easy to use as Windows, haven't had any problems with it. It's really not all that hard, but there is a slight learning curve. My roommate isn't even close to computer savvy and picked it up in about 3 days. YMMV. Like mod I also have a PC that runs Vista 64...if I didn't need a 64 bit OS though I'd still be using XP. I'm just not happy with XP 64. Same reason I'm using Linux on my laptop. I have over 3gb of RAM and I hate XP 64, and Vista is just too bloated. Can't wait for Windows 7 though. If it's as good as the beta, I'll probably replace Linux on my laptop with it as much as I love Kubuntu.

I went to school in the US and we learn sooooooo little about Canada. I went to a college prep school too and in our 1/2 chapter about Canada here's what I learned: Canadians traded fur Canadians are better at making maple syrup than the States It's cold in Canada Vancouver "is kind of like the Canadian Hollywood" We touched on Native Americans in the US and First Nations in Canada being "forcibly removed" but not killed Canada has Niagra falls Canada has hockey instead of baseball Quebec wants to be their own country Canada has 2 languages and everyone is proficient in The CAD is worth less than the USD most of the time Canada has national healthcare and pay a large amount of sales tax for it. As a matter of fact, we learn that one REALLY young because I remember saying to my mom once when I had a broken wrist "I wish we could just pay 10% sales tax like Canada and everyone could get good medical care" because the hospital for the uninsured had a 6 hour wait and I was in agony. I think I was 9? Annnnnnnd that's it. Literally. At a college prep school no less. Schools down south are much worse too, I'd be proud that they even knew what Toronto was. The average American doesn't even know that Toronto has a stock exchange. The average American can't list more than...5 of the provinces either.
