One of the problems with judging talent, is that evaluating the physical talent isn't hard, that can be measured, evaluating the will to win, the heart and the mental toughness is another. And in the QB position, this is can be more important than pure talent. Many talented QBs have failed due to attitude/effort and other intangibles. Ryan Leaf one of the biggest, now we are hearing perhaps Mark Sanchez just doesn't work hard enough. Don't underestimate this intangible, clearly Tebow is not lacking in this area. Realistically, the talent is marginal, but we shall see. I read where Fran Tarkenton was viewed in somewhat the same light, and we certainly know how his career went. I don't think Denver can beat NE, but that won't stop me from rooting for them, and I like NE.

Just meant that to different degrees, alot of the athletics pray to a higher being, at some time, often after a great play. I guess many of them are hypocritical since I suspect they have no religious beliefs. So, which is worse, someone that you know where they are coming from, or someone the feigns belief. At least with Tebow, there is consistency. The reference to jail is Big Ben = Criminal = Jail Time (which is where he should be) Oh yea, New England is a huge favourite, but you never know with Tebow. Devine intervention perhaps.

I guess you don't like Big Ben either, since when he threw the tying TD pass, he pointed skyward... Guess that is Ben praying, or perhaps he is thanking his lucky stars that he isn't in prison, like he should be.

Interesting, for all intent and purposes, Tebow has been like this for all his college years, and now (and maybe longer). So, seems that it is how he is, not sure how you would describe that as an act, I guess we all are actors, if you think about it. And about the others, such as Plaxico, Big Ben and probably 3/4 of all the players, there seems to be more comments about Tebow than the others, so you would have to say little fuse being made of them. Big Ben should probably be in jail now, not playing, but money buys silence. At least Vick paid for his crime.

With all primadona athletes nowadays, someone who seems to be a bit more down to earth is actually, in my opinion a breath of fresh air. For everyone that is critical of him, I hope you don't consider guys like Plaxico Burress in high esteem. Tebow has found a way to win games, but no question he needs to improve big time in order to become a quality QB. I am not convinced he can for two reasons: his arm strength just does not appear to be there, and he has such a slow release beyond that (wouldn't some of us like to be saddle with a slow release, but I digress). He might be able to adjust one, but I really think the other (arm strength), just isn't go to cut it, and he likely won't be around too long. That said, intelligence at the QB position is important, and Tebow seems to be solid there. I wish him best of luck...

It might be somewhere in this thread, jeez it is 75 pages long. I tried to do a search, but didn't find anything, but know it has been discussed, and some members seemed to know for sure it was eventually going to close, but maybe a couple of years.....so enjoy for now.

There has definitely been rumblings along this line, in fact recently, I believe there was confirmation that the building was sold and something would be done with the land. However, the general consensus was this was a medium term impact on Barbs, but it would eventually be gone.
