Sleepovers. a good or bad idea?
SamanthaEvans replied to castle's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I agree with what others have said. I particularly want to underscore Berlin's advice to try longer meetings because my intuition is that you want more than sex, you're looking for an intimate connection. I love the meetings that start out with dinner. Usually, we've exchanged e-mail, maybe we've talked on the phone a time or two. By the time we meet, we have a lot to talk about and dinner is a great thing to share. It feels like there is a more genuine, natural connection by the time we move on to other things. That said, the stereotype that many men just want to talk to escorts and don't have sex with them really is true more often than one might imagine. I've had fabulous evenings with amazing, thoughtful, caring gentlemen without ever getting into bed. I know that neither of us ever felt cheated or let down because we didn't have sex. The connection, conversation and engagement were all we needed. I only do overnight meetings with clients I know and am sure that we will both spending so much time together. Sleeping with someone is such an intimate activity for me that I'm very cautious about it. -

Congratulations, indeed! You are one of the ones who really make Cerb the great place that it is. Thanks for your time, your dedication, your wisdom and your humour! -
The implications of this decision for health care delivery are very important. I've never had a problem with such things, myself, but maybe I've simply been lucky, so far. As I said in the news thread, I'm relieved that the SCC has come out so strongly in favour of solid, scientific evidence rather than ideology. It could be a pre-emptive strike against Harper's anticipated appointments to the SCC since new justices will be bound by recent decisions of the court. The Harper crew are not happy with the Insite decision. Once the new judges are appointed, it might have been much more difficult for the court to make a decision like this. The fact that it was unanimous is extremely important!

When a SP offers a 100% guarantee
SamanthaEvans replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Who offers a 100% guarantee? Not me! All I can guarantee is that I'm the one who writes my ad copy and my e-mail. I wrote all the content on my website, which I designed myself. And the woman in the photographs is me. I can guarantee that I will do my best to be on time or to be ready for the client when he arrives. But things can happen, though that's very rare for me. I can guarantee that I will be pleasant and polite. But if something untoward should happen--maybe there are two guys in the hotel room, not just one, let's say--I will not maintain my ladylike decorum for long and the client should be more concerned about being visited by the police than about whether he gets a refund. I cannot guarantee that anyone will have a good time with me. I will do my best. I take a lot of pride in that, actually. But I am not 100% responsible for what happens between us, how well we get along, or how the client reacts or responds to me. However, if someone were to meet me and decided within the first five minutes that I'm not what he expected, I would consider refunding part or all of the fee. A lot would depend on how extensive our prior discussions had been, whether I was certain that he'd read my website, and so on. I am very clear about the kind of woman I am, what I look like and what I offer. If I've agreed to see him in good faith, I expect to be paid something for my time. I assume that anyone who contacts me has taken some time to decide whether I'm the kind of woman with whom he wants to spend his time. -
BDSM Play: Image vs. Reality
SamanthaEvans replied to SamanthaEvans's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Thanks for the suggestion, capitalman. If I'd thought of it in June when this happened, it might have been a good idea. That said, I never initiate contact with anyone I've seen unless explicitly invited to do so. After four months, I think that too much time has gone buy and my invitation might just look like a bid to earn more of his money. If he contacts me again--which is possible--I would agree to see him if we could first have a chat on the phone about what he needs to experience and how important it is to be flexible, not too focused on particular outcomes! -
Ding dong the basement dweller is gone

This is good to know. Unfortunately, it may simply herald the opening of another blog by the same person, or someone else, claiming the need to continue the righteous campaign. -

Thanksgiving 2011
SamanthaEvans replied to Victoria Banks's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm having dinner with friends on Saturday evening, then cooking dinner for my partner, my son and myself on Monday. Turkey with cornbread dressing, candied sweet potatoes, some green vegetable, cranberry sauce and a pumpkin cheesecake are on the menu. It looks like too much food, but with a teenager in the house, I don't think it will last past Wednesday! I hope everyone here has a peaceful and happy weekend! -

What is the relationship between bacon and global warming? -
I think the important point is that the statements that this particular model reduces sex trafficking and prostitution is patently false. The Nordic law is not a deterrent to anyone--traffickers, prostitutes or the men who seek their services. Interestingly, in past years when the numbers of men charged were larger--2003 and 2005--the conviction rates were lower than in other years.

True or False

False. The greatest invention ever is the personal lubricant. Cerb comes next! I'm a certified canine obedience trainer. -
This makes a lot of sense. Thank you!

A conversation elsewhere got me thinking about how businesses and other locations are added to Google maps. I found this Google help article, but it doesn't give enough information to ease my mind. My concern is that someone could add escorts' addresses to Google maps, which would be a very dangerous thing. Does anyone know more about how this function works?

Two Supreme Court Justices Retiring Early
SamanthaEvans replied to a topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
It's hard to say, CB. Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin was considered to be a conservative when she was appointed, but she hasn't always functioned that way. For example, she's the author of the Moge decision that had a major impact on the way that spousal support is evaluated and awarded. And then, last week, she was the author for the unanimous decision in favour of the Insite supervised injection site in Vancouver. McLachlin practiced law and was a judge in Vancouver before going to the SCC. Maybe that helped her understand the realities of addiction in the Downtown Eastside. Certainly the decision to keep Insite open isn't one that makes the Harper government happy! -
