They're not "things" but I can't live without my dogs :). They keep me sane...and that is a full time job! LOL!

I know that my sister and her ex did it themselves. Same with my mom and dad. They got the proper forms, filled them out, filed them with the court (there is a fee but nothing too expensive) and voila! I'm not sure if it's the same in every province, though. My sis and her ex were married and divorced in Ontario and my mom and dad were married and divorced in Quebec. I hope this helps a little bit :). Personally, I think you did the right thing. I've learned to always trust my instincts. Plus, even if he turned out to be a nice guy, you yourself would not have been comfortable and it's only fair to both you and the client to go into a meeting with enthusiasm otherwise it makes for a less than stellar experience ;).

I have on the rare occasion been tipped an extra $20 and I have one regular who likes to tip $80 every time. I am always so grateful for a tip, be it $10 or $80. I always make sure to say an extra thank you in my usual follow up "thank you" email :).
