  1. searching and reading threads is the best way to learn. But overall, one would tend to assume that if there are mentions of ALO on this board, it must mean something. Have fun in O-town. toine
  2. Congratulations WiT for all these posts, always worth reading. May you continue being with us for a very long time! toine
  3. As I am too scrawny to be a Fat Bastard BBM, I offer my services as the 'phone guy'. I promise not to triple book the guys too often, to limit photoshopping to adding tasteless tatoos at strategic places, and to otherwise describe the mood swings of the FB BBM somewhat accurately. I volunteer as well to be a 'fluffer' of sort doing regular beer runs to the local beer store and to keep them supplied with a steady diet of triple-garlic shawarma. When they feel insecure, I will get out the carnival mirrors that will show off their beer gut, keep a wide assortment of John Deer and Caterpillar caps, offer a (scrawny) shoulder for them to cry on, and always always have plenty of JD to drown their sorrows. Ladies, start calling me! No blocked numbers! PM accepted...reply guaranteed before year end....
  4. ...and the answer is YES...
  5. Congratulations, Nicolette! Looking forward to the next 1,000 posts!
  6. ...as we must enjoy our single malt and Tuscan wine while stearinng clear of the bad crowd...
  7. Steve Jobs will be really sad? Nah, shouldn't be a problem. Youtube here on macbook pro 17'', and many others...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42qcvlftmcM
  8. Good nominations, well deserved, for both ladies and gents! All of them have already been nominated, so Mod won't have to worry about adding more.
  9. I believe you are right, Samantha knows a thing or two about toys, and likely strap-on play. In spite of the ease of cleaning of silicone and all that, I also think that it is a BYOT kind of situation. Have fun, 50strait. toine
  10. Personally, I found nothing wrong with whiteman's tone. Should there be any registered MP providing this, her license would be at risk, should the information fall into the wrong hands. So... were anyone know about one such registered MP, were she to exist, would keep the information under wrap. Whiteman would be quite unlikely to get it, I would be quite unlikely to get it, and the same applies to you with the added qualifiers that you are, after so many months, somewhat of a newcomer. Welcomed? Yes, but within limits. Enjoy CERB with its social mores... Best. toine
  11. Maybe he wasn't looking for them, but just got lucky!
  12. Others have stated it before, and it is the most important consideration: go for the discipline you will able to give your full attention, the set of topics that will most enrich your mind and draw you in. A secondary consideration, not to be neglected, is how this minor will be perceived by those who will see your resume, be they 'regular employers', those giving grants, professors from grad school, even tenure decision-making committee, should you want to pursue a more academic path. Going for a minor in Classics, after having completed a honours degree in this discipline, will raise red flags. Would it be a sign of indecision, of a lack of intellectual curiosity, an attempt to boost a GPA, etc. Those having to look at resumes often who have to go through huge piles of them and they have to make decisions that may appear unfounded, but are actually require to manage the task. Believe me, sorting through 150 resumes does lead to making on-the-spot in-out decisions. Best to you for the new school year. Learning new stuff can be great in the right environment. I wish you enthusiastics and knowledgeable lecturers and professors.
  13. 2,000 posts for our good friend, Old Dog. Best to you, and looking forward to the next 1,000!
  14. Ulixestrojan is still here from time to time, and igotaboner is very much among us, but under a different handle...
  15. Thanks Old Dog, there was a thread a while back on this: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=43633&highlight=directory Most entertaining.
  16. Hi mod, it appears that I'm on the list both as Toine and toine. One toine will be plenty. Thanks, mod! toine
  17. NJ, it is very good of you that you remember T'storm...Now, are you that convinced the ladies love him, lol? To T'storm!
  18. Many congratulations to you, Samantha. I always gain something from your reading your posts. I am also green with envy: as others have noted, I wish I was half the writer you are. Sincerely, toine
  19. This option might not be the best to meet Julia's needs: it is likely mostly staffed by students in the civil law tradition (used only in Quebec) and interested in 'public notary' type of work (living or traditional wills, real estate, and a few other things). The University of Ottawa has a community legal clinic on Copernicus, which may be more likely to have students interested in the common law tradition and criminal law advices. More information here: http://www.uottawa.ca/associations/clinic/eng/main.htm Hope all will turn out best for you.
  20. The lady is unknown and about nobody here will write or comment about triple A. You may do considerably better by considering the various ladies discussed in the Ottawa massage discussion section: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=54 Have fun in town.
  21. We are so eager to wish a happy birthday to this delightful lady that we are jumping the gun by nearly 6 hours! It's ok, birthday should last more than 24 hours. Best to Samantha on this very special day. toine
  22. Best on this special day, Soleil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcwPouvxWUk
  23. MrGreen760 has already been nominated once, so now that's two. Well deserved. Best, toine
