  1. What, no one has mentioned Leonard Cohen yet? Not the greatest showman, but what a lyricist! I also love Joni Mitchell's blue period: ...and then there is the rock energy of K-town The Tragically Hips, different generation alright, but already from way back then:
  2. You know you spend too much time on CERB when you log in only twice a day, for four hours on average... ...for all the reasons cited here: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=53719
  3. Time now to add my very brief, not eloquent, but enthusiastically felt reco. I too had the pleasure of seeing sweet Emily this week-end, and I am very happy I did. She is a very cute petite woman, from painted toes to soft, lustrous hair. Her right flank is an evolving artistic landscape. She is very enthusiastic, has a winning personality, and is really intent to making this moment together, however fleeting, enjoyable. She has soft skin, a soft touch, and good rhythm. I left very happy! :icon_biggrin: Thanks sweetie!
  4. location, location, location! That piece of real estate downtown must be worth more than Barb's, the Gluepot pub and the italian café-restaurant next door. Well, I hope we still have a few months ahead of us...
  5. Not knowing for certain, clearly (who can prove a negative?), but I highly doubt that 1) she has an account here, 2) there are pictures of her. Give her a call, she will have a definite answer to both questions. toine
  6. I once tried to use a Canadian airport free wifi to get on cerb and it got blocked... 3G got me through!
  7. Thanks for the post, Secret Admirer, Bridgette and Kitty, two beautiful ladies indeed.
  8. What was probably meant is that these pics were HEAVILY photoshopped. They gained a certain quality, esthetically, but with the side effect that she does not look as real as she could. It would be interesting to see her not photoshopped, or even without makeup!
  9. I want one of these! I sure could use it, I'd call it Fourth Debut, got to iron the wrinkles away, and the beer belly, lol!
  10. that is one of those instances when one goes: De gustibus non disputandum est!
  11. Bon anniversaire Nathalie, Happy Birthday to you. Let this day stretch into a great moment of joy. So, bon anniversaire and I can hear from here the champagne cork popping! toine
  12. I would say that the drive back and forth to see Jude (in Ottawa) would be a tad long!
  13. Showing my age, for me it was Red Dwarf and Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister! Fawlty Towers always seemed to be too slapstick for my liking... The Office (the British version) is great in its own way, though it has always made totally ill at ease, which is, well, what it aimed to accomplish. Does everyone know the close connection between Gervais and Ontario?
  14. Bridgette will post her schedule in her 'about me tab'; she is both day time and evenings, about twice a week... http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=44586 and she is gorgeous!
  15. Well, a girl deserves some nice eye candy for her birthday. What about Michael Phelps?
  16. A CR reco from you is like the famous Slurp seal of approval for an Asian provider! It is worth gold!
  17. there is an Apple store in Rideau Centre, so yes downtown Ottawa folks are lucky...
  18. Hello Alexandra-Sky, have you used a guide such as this one from CNET to narrow down what specs would meet your needs? Power and speed may not be important if no heavy computations are required, graphic cards can be basic if no video-editing is required. Here's another guide from PCmag for laptops and then for netbooks. Me, were I ever to go back to school (which I can't imagine, been there, done that during many-many years, lol), I would be netbook all the way! Now, let us hope it does not become a PC versus Mac discussion :-)
  19. Cerb all the way. I haven't got a FB account, which carries a rather bad reputation, privacy-wise. I will consider google+, when the lesser ones are allowed in, since there is more control on who sees what. Twitter? My life is hardly interesting enough for a blow-by-blow account, everyone would get bored fast! Cerb: there are many amusing posts, some great general topic threads, and the ladies for sure who are making it rather interesting, so I'll tend to visit more than once per day...
  20. And you may want to try Brasserie T! near Place des Arts... http://www.brasserie-t.com/index-en.php
  21. Well, very sorry to hear about this guy misbehaving like this, and I must say your replies were just right, and quick witted. Being quick witted is a great quality to have... Playing devil's advocate, it may just be the case that he really rapidly felt like a dork, and that the heat of the moment explains his first comment, and alcohol the latter ones... Still, it does not excuse his messing with your evening of fun with a friend. Enjoy life, go and dance with your friends, and don't worry too much about dorks. Life is too short for that. Best, toine
  22. Well, looks yummy. Did not know about pintxo and now I want some of that next time I'm in town...
