It is hard to keep track of who is in and who is gone at Acqua-Luna-Oasis...but sometimes it is really worthwhile to go and discover the newbies... and so I did today, and I am happy to report that Jordan is a real cuty, a picture perfect early twenties beauty, brown hair with blonde highlights, a great body and an even better smile... She might be still going up the ol' learning curve, but she has what it takes to become one of the most popular MP attendants in town. I had the opportunity to go see Jude again recently, and I must say she is getting better and better! She has an amazing touch. Inti-mate and meathead's recos are right on!

I go see MAs, both indies and at salons, not other service providers. I have never had, ever, a 'no show' from an indie, though I had on a few occasions to adjust session time, as others were running late (and I am not talking two minutes here), traffic jams and whatnot. I was informed ahead of time (either through emails or phone calls) in all instances but once, when I found a sticky on the door inviting me to come back in 30 minutes. Enough to go grab a coffee. All in all, I consider that a very good, some would say excellent, level of customer service. It is a different story with salons (I go to a few in town; some have a perfect record): bookings not respected, booked attendant not present, attendant not informed of coming appointment because 'phone guy' did not do his job (or, at least, such was the claim of the attendant), etc. In all, it must have happened five times in 3.5 years of hobbying (including once this past week), which is not bad. I surprise myself in being able to take it in stride when it occurs, as I am not known as Mr Zen at work... I am not sure I care to count how many visits (and thus $$$) I've made in those years, but I think it is quite a reasonable defect rate, so to speak... Myself? I once took a wrong turn, got lost, and called to say I'd be 15-20 minutes late. I have also cancelled twice, a few hours ahead of time. Decent enough track record. toine

I have to agree that this poll is not informative in any real sense. It merely suggests what is the most one has been granted that was 'above the norm' of the establishment or the provider, and that may have taken place yesterday, or ten years ago, on a first encounter or only after developing a bond with a MA. In some cases, that 'extra' can be pretty tame, such as full nude when it is not the norm of a certain establishment or provider, yet we all know it is the norm 'next door' (I do not know of any establishment where the 'norm' covers the list in this poll, nor would I want to go to a place where bbfs were offered). Whatever that something extra is, it is a gift, and should be seen as such: not to be demanded, nor to be expected... Some may wonder how to increase the odds that angels will be smiling for them. The best attitude remains to be on one's best behaviour, polite and charming as best as one can be and, most importantly, to have the right mindset. If one goes to an establishment eager for that little something more, chances are the experience will be a letdown. If one goes with a true appreciation for what is normally offered, the experience will be positive and, once in a blue moon, you may leave with an extra-wide grin from having got an extra 10 minutes or a peck on a cheek :) toine

Nature versus nurture, interesting debate onto itself. Regarding airline problems, the starting point of this thread, I have this to share. Take it for what it is worth. I flew back from Europe once last year, and my journey was delayed at two points. The first delay came from the late arrival of the plane at the start of the journey. Somebody had required emergency help on the previous leg of that plane?s ?day?, so to speak. While waiting at the airport, passengers were kept informed of the delay and regularly updated, both on the duration of the delay and the reason for it. So I took in stride, and I imagine most other passengers did, too. Once on the plane, staff had been instructed to keep us happy with plenty of food and beverage, and all in all, we understood that this is the reality of today?s travelling. Upon arrival in Canada, I had to take a connecting flight to get to Ottawa, and that is when things went wrong and I got mighty pissed off. We were kept waiting for an extra two hours, and it became clear after a while that it was a cost reduction measure taken by the airline company. During that time, we (myself and about ten other people on that connecting flight) were not kept informed by the staff, and irrespective of the challenges for local staff to deal with the company?s decision and the expectations of passengers, the reality of that journey was that I was left wondering for two hours what the heck was going on. Some ten hours after the beginning of my day, I was quite pissed off. To summarize, to get back to 777flight contribution, we have to trust people like him whose job is to keep people safe; I am often grateful that my career does not involve making life or death decision on behalf of others, and I have great respect for people in all walk of life (pilots, nurses, physicians) whose job involve such high stake decision, and do it well. But communicating to the people affected is paramount, so that they understand that the choice was between being delayed and having too high a risk of ending in the Atlantic? Now, in daily life, I try to be considerate of others, keeping doors open, saying thank you and please, and all that. Yet, if I may say, I am struck by the seeming double standard: it seems to be expected that I keep doors open and yield the way to others, but how come so few adult fit women seem to behave in the same way? In this world of equality between genders, doesn?t it strike you as odd? toine

Well, here is my two cents on the topic of this thread: I frequently find myself not wanting to write a reco as I feel 'everything as been said'; as well, as a mere technocrat, I don't have much style in writing, so I know I cannot write a great reco as some other CERB members can (you know who they are). On the other hand, I can see the value of adding to the reco thread of an SP, even when that thread is filled with enthusiastic and well-written reco's. Why? Because it does bring that thread up on top of the list, so to speak, and it would reassure nervous nellies (and they ARE out here in numbers) that the SP still brings the same energy and enthusiasm to an encounter as she was six or twelve months ago. Personal opinion as well: pressure on either side regarding writing a reco is distasteful, whether that pressure is explicit or implicit, and I try to refrain from bringing the topic during an encounter. Yet again, I can see why some CERB members will suggest (at the concluding stage of an encounter?) to new people in the industry that they become aware of CERB, and join in, for all the benefits this great board offers. One has to be careful alright, and CERB and other websites of the same nature are great a) to find the right person to enjoy a nice experience and, b) to get warnings about those not so great. The person you are discussing has been flagged on a few occasions as a definite AVOID, so I would have to agree that doing your due diligence would have paid off plenty.
