You are right, all the ladies commenting in this thread are against negotiating... But did you really think the ladies that do negotiate would come out and say that? Be realistic. The fact is, many girls negotiate and have no problem doing so. Many girls don't negotiate. I respect both.

Negotiating is a part of life when dealing with independent contractors. There are a lot of times that we can not negotiate prices in life, such as McDonald's, the grocery store, buying clothes at a department store etc... But when dealing with electricians, roofers, mechanics, and other independent workers, negotiating is part of life. I am in a line of work where I constantly negotiate prices with my customers, and when done properly, politely and respectfully, I have no problem with it. I don't see why a lady here would be offended by someone attempting to negotiate a price if it is done respectfully. What is wrong with me saying "I have $140. Can we work something out for that price?" or "I know you list $150hh but is there any way you can see me for $120hh?" There is nothing rude about that, and if the lady says no, then that's it, end of story. The last time I went to the mechanic I told them "I know there are several things that need fixing, and I know the total costs, but I only have $600 to spend this week, so what can you do for me?" And we worked out a deal... Anyways, if a guy asks properly about prices and negotiating, I don't see why anyone should be offended.

There is one main reason people try to negotiate or barter with the ladies here on Cerb... Because there are ladies here who ARE willing to make deals or offer specials. There may not be a lot, but there definitely are some, and that means there's a chance. Like some have pointed out, when business is slow, some people make decisions to offer specials. Spas often have Door specials, some ladies offer 90 minutes for the price of 60 etc... So guys often see specials and probably figure, why not ask... All I am saying is that I think many of the ladies would be very surprised to find out how many of their fellow Cerbites are willing to negotiate.

I have no problem with CEO's of private companies making millions of $$$. If they can get away with it, great. It's just like pro athletes making $10M a year, I have no problemn with it, because someone is willing to pay them. And you can't get mad at or blame CEOs if they get government bailouts. Get mad at the government for giving in. If I own a company and pay myself $100M per year, and need and get a government bailout, then good for me. Private companies have every right to do what they want and pay whatever salaries they want. It is up to government to stop bailing people out. We have major issues in our country with government pensions that will eventually bankrupt us. A government employee working for 30 years and retiring at the agte of 60 has contributed enough into the pension fund for about 15 years of retirement... So who pays the rest when this person lives to 95??? Forget about private companies and focus on government. They are the ones we elect, they are the ones who agree to bailouts. Actually, they just need to make them "member" only establishments and then they can establish age restrictions... What I don't understand is why everyone gets so upset about this stuff. There are lots of clubs and bars to pick from, so if you can't get in one of them, big deal, who cares! There are too many whiners out there, who cry foul every time they don't get their way. I think the sentence is a joke. He KILLED someone. We can't make excuses for him and he needs to pay for his crime. We can't count his personal suffering and guilt as part of the punishment. The only way to punish is with time in prison and for killing someone through drunk driving, the punishment needs to be severe and needs to ste an example so others think twice and know better. He was a menace to society with his driving when SOBER and obviously needs to pay for it.
