Seeking legal advice
fortunateone replied to Greenly's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
re: bawdy houses, the govt reassures everyone http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2014/11/06/bill-c-36-prostitution-law-unconstitutional_n_6116498.html that given the SCC ruling, in December bawdyhouses (aka brothels) will actually legal. re: smilf's comment, further to that, look for ads on other sites. there won't be any, the LE sting ads (if they even bother, and that's unlikely), will only be on bp, and will only have today's date, possibly yesterday's and bumped up to the current time/date. Young age, low rates, perfect pics, 'low' restrictions, 24/7, no emails, it will all be text and talk, it will always be OK to come over now, all the signs. Hotel/motel as well. all the things every client should consider a red flag now, but usually only look at and say, hey, she's new, i'm gonna go see her. Smart clients look for ads that have a history, an sp who posts an ad today, don't see her today, wait a couple of weeks, watch her ad, and then make contact ONLY if that sp is consistently advertising over a period of time. -
i would think that the problem comes in what is actually posted on this site itself. One of my main ad sites (local ads) did a complete overhaul and moderates all new ads to ensure they comply. Well, bp does the same thing, if you post a new ad, plus they already have as their terms, no sexual services permitted. They control the content to comply with the law. What those advertisers do elsewhere has nothing to do with that site, or this one. One of the US sites did their own overhaul, and they no longer permit website links on the ads they post. They also moderate all new ads, to ensure they comply with the no sexual services rule. it is up to the site to monitor what people post on the site, but they will not be liable for simply allowing an sp to post a rule complian ad here, if she does ads elsewhere that would break a rule on this site. doesn't make sense.

Not sure what to think of this
fortunateone replied to Bazinga's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Please read this thread linked by randyzak, then get back to us. 2-3 days, when it comes to texting, is over the top, when the main point of thread linked below is to make the booking in 3 texts total. Until you have the appt booked, and you show up, all you are doing is indicating that you are going to not show up, that the sexting is sufficient, that you are trying to reel her in to see just how far or how desperate she is to get your business. The majority of reputable quality focused professional sps don't sell themselves, or at least they do not oversell themselves. You might lure in someone who is new to the business and doesn't realize just how many guys who no show are going to do the same thing. but at this point, i really feel that anyone expecting days of pre communication is a carrot on a stick carrier. IF she does as you demand, THEN she gets the privilege of an appt with you. For some sps, the non stop texting is not sufficent to motivate them to see you, as they will have decided it is a bad investment of their time. It could be an indication of high maintenance, high expectations, impossible to please when face to face. Already disappointed by the reality of an encounter and only having had one appt with one sp, may be the tipping point to some sps deciding not to take the chance of seeing someone who seems determined to be perpetually disappointed by how sps act prior to the encounter. in other words, take it easy, relax, go with the flow, don't over think it, don't over analyze, just set up the damn appt with a likely looking prospect and go for it. -

Which are equally dill pickley, and so not something i will be chomping on lolol I was referring to a recent post about someone not wanting to bump the thread, and then the next post just saying 'bump'. By page 2, people had already started to ask for the thread to be closed, lol. by page 5 more people did, and then posts changing the subject entirely, to the weather, became part of the whole thread. cheers to fun food choices. The bird is ok, she just bonds with me, and is especially needy when in egg laying mode. happens a little more than once a month. -
Do you get tested?
fortunateone replied to fiorenti's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Yes, the standard thing even if you went to a regular clinic is that they only call you back if the tests are positive. The idea is that you are called to make an appt to come in for a perscription or other treatment like a shot. The STD clinic nearest to me now has a policy of just telling you to call them, after a week, or they mention when the results should be in, and to just call in they give them over the phone. A new policy is to not give out hard copies, not sure how you can get a written one from an STD clinic if they persist in a similar policy. A regular doctor or walk in clinic has the written results. but they also have your real name so there is that. -
I know for a fact all prostitution ended in the US in approx 1910, when they brought in the Mann Act. True story, there are no sps and no clients in the entire USA because all the states have criminalized sex work, for both clients and sps. Check for yourself.

In the spirit of keeping an offensive theme thread alive, and in the hopes of not offending you, but seriously 'dill pickle' soup? Bleh. i do not like pickles, or dill, and the idea of making them hot into a soup, well, i have to say, that's just crazy talk. Surprisingly warm today, i suppose it is colder now, but i went out this AM, and have to say found it quite pleasant (in the rain and wind of course). My bird is annoying as hell, even now sitting on my shoulder because she just has to know what i am doing and where i am at all times. this will go on for a few days, until she lays her two eggs, and there is peace again. :) -
i agree with P. If LE is feeling pressure, say by the municipal govt, citizens, to 'do' something now that C36 is in effect (and be sure that abolitionists will be at the forefront of these complaints), they will do as they have always done. Which is 95% of all of their efforts will be directly related to the street trade. They have to, because they can easily snare a couple of dozen people over a 48 hour period, using a handful of officers. Even now, they did that Operation Northern spotlight, a much more labour and time effort. They've done it twice this year, it is so difficult to set up and follow thru, and had much lower results, in many cities, zero results in terms of laying charges against anyone (knowing that they are trying to find victims, and lay charges against pimps coercing someone, and not finding those, as well as not rescuing underage workers). At best you can expect your city to not want to add to that organized initiative, and maybe twice a year in some cities, these ONS's will happen, where the target are sps (to rescue) only. Then the rest of the time they'll focus on street work, and phoned in complaints or reports. i doubt if they'll take the time to set up incall stings because they know they'll be spending time, money, energy in other ways already.

- New to the biz sps are always busy. They are busier in the first 6 months than they will be in the following months. Do not expect the same level of interest in month number 7. do not start spending the money earned in months 1 to 5 as if it will continue to come in the same way all the time. - Do not make the new sp mistake of arrogance and entitlement. Men find sps attractive, and they shower compliments. But whether the sp is young and fit, or older and curvy, the compliments are showered just as much for the mature as the young. Being young is not an excuse for being rude and dismissive of mature sps, and it also goes back to point #1; the new sp is a busy sp, far busier than she will be when the newness runs out. in other words, you are not more special than any other sp out there, so make them your friends, not your enemies. - Don't keep throwing money into ads that are not bringing in a return. Be choosy about where and when you post ads. Even if you are available 24/7, never put that in your ads, and don't post ads very late at night. This can be done by a more experienced, sp, but not a new one. The drunk, the high, the somewhat crazier clients come out after 10pm, you have to have the skills to deal with them. Which goes back to my initial post: learn how to say no, and not all money is good money. - Clients are clients, not your new BFFs. They do not need your personal information, and they should not have access to your personal space. You have to exercise control over the amount of information you give out, and assume that at least one of the people you talk to whether client or another sp, will spread it around to people that you do not want to have it. There are many sps who have had this happen to them. The sps who have never shared one personal detail, or a face pic, or whatever, have never been exposed to their friends, family or neighbours. Boundaries are there for a reason.

Learn to say no. Learn to set boundaries, and when they are set, no exceptions. Do not think that you are hurting someone's feelings or risking future trouble/harassment when you say no to someone rude, pushy, or asks for services outside your boundaries. You are showing them you are not a pushover, and you are freeing yourself up for the next caller, who is not rude and pushy. In other words, just because someone calls, doesn't mean you can't say no to them.

If incall sps weren't now offering 50/60 buck 15-30 minute FS 'specials' i would agree with you. But that range is not unusual for lowtrack outdoor/cardate sps. But even sme outdoor sps, saying mid track (assuming there is no high track anymore) know they can still get 100 if not more for car action for FS. And this is not GFE, for the most part, not really roomy for that kind of thing lol. Then neither of the above can account for the sps who specifically post online ads, with phone numbers, offering both incall and cardates. like if you have an incall, why are you offering to have the guy come to your incall, you step outside of it, get into his car, do the date, then go back inside? Makes no logical sense for a guy to choose cardate over an incall that is also available, with no $ incentive.
-
I think that some guys literally do not know about advertising, and incalls, except for massage parlours or agencies. The idea that the street workers may also post or pay for online/paper ads and they could just phone them up, and go directly to their incall is lost on them. Also, for guys dealing primarily with streetworkers, and those lower rates, they actually are afraid to call and knock on a door and go inside, of what they might find, or being assaulted, or robbed. They figure if they can see the sp, and control the location (their car), they are ahead of the game, can't be scammed or robbed. To a certain extent, it is pretty logical.

No, of course not hahaha. But the rain has finally come. I don't even know where my umbrella is, it has been that warm and dry up until the past week. leaves are turned on one set of trees, but still barely starting to turn on another set. They aren't even falling off of either set. kind of interesting. the rain helps bring some down, but usually by now we have rainy windstorms, and the leaves are completely turned. -

people were saying that by page one i think. I actually came right to the end (last time i was here, it was only 5 pages) to say exactly what you are saying. -
i really appreciated her willingness to open her mind. Yes, it is as simple as saying, 'while i don't want to do this myself, it isn't right for me to impose my unwillingness in the form of penalizing laws'. She made an effort to go out and talk to sex workers, and she came up with this, from what i can tell, from talking to street workers mostly. If she can come to a change of mind based on that group, it is very impressive. most would come out of that and decide, well, they obviously don't know what is good for them, and c36 will rescue them (i.e. force them out of biz).

Some sps have a process of deleting their ads when they are done for the day or have booked up their day already. From an marketing perspective it is a silly thing to do. Ads keep working for us even when we are not technically available. If they want to let people know their schedule, just put it in their ad. For ads that have been removed by bp, sometimes they are violating some kind of rule. that can also account for why some sps have more than one ad up in a day, just as backup. as a client, i wouldn't try to read too much into ads there or not there as some kind of sign of trouble. by all means, google search the sp's phone number, look for ads on other sites. Posting on more than one site is usually a good sign that the sp is in it for more than a day or two, and is serious about their biz. It is always good to see sps who are motivated to advertise their services across a wider potential market. in the future, you can look at sps with ads on multiple sites, and over a longer period of time, and that do not disappear as a sign they are not an LE sting.

Start with a half hour appt, and settle on extending it if you decide things are progressing well. Never see a new sp for an hour appt, always go for a half hour first. If she has nonFS options, go for those on a first visit as an alternative. No one ever complained about extending or upgrading a session, but people often complain about paying for a half hour and not being happy about it. :) i disagree about asking sps if they use drugs. If they don't, they'll say no. If they do, they'll say no. It is a one answer question.
-
Because without this new law, the government can't lie to the people by saying that there will be 'no' laws once Dec comes and the laws overturned by the SCC are no longer on the books. Fact is, there are plenty of laws, to deal with everything anyone complains about when it comes to sex work, either street based, or indoors.

Positive advice given to Providers.

So, I'm going on an assumption that you think that watching TV and texting during a session is also probably a bad idea? :icon_eek: I use unscented baby oil, and it really soaks into the skin and seems to disappear very easily. if you are seeing massage providers who use something else, maybe (if you can find) bring a bottle of that sort of oil for use on you. Also, request a hot towel wipe down of your back. you can't really reach and soap up your own back, so no doubt there might be something left over. No reason why any sp would refuse such a request for a wipe down, imo. - speaking of, hot towels. I read recently at least 2-3 guys posting in a review that they had either never or only a couple times, encountered sps/mps who provide a warm damp washcloth for them for some cleanup, rather than just kleenex or wet wipes. Sure they can use the shower, and sure they may do that, but i am talking about post coital, still on the bed, after the completion. I have never not used these cloths, and rarely encounter someone who doesn't want to use them. Sure it is more laundry, but it is a small extra service that does not go unnoticed, apparently. -
So it took 23 officers to charge 16 guys over a 2 day period? I think this is the real reason the guy says 'we weren't sure how to proceed'. Um, how about not doing it at all, since one of the overturned laws specifically talks about public solicitation meaning they shouldn't be doing these stings anyway. They have plenty of other nuisance laws, if the businesses are 'screaming' about unwanted traffick, including loitering, pandering or whatever other city bylaw infractions one can get for just hanging around in front of a 7-11

Syphilis Outbreak in Winnipeg
fortunateone replied to Francesco123's topic in Escort Discussion for Winnipeg
The reminder is also for those who partake in bbbjs. The one thing gay guys in this category and sps have in common is the possibility of multiple partners, and unprotected oral sex. Unprotected oral sex is becoming one of the biggest known activities that is resulting in the spread of stds. Keeping in mind that the gay community was amongst the first to be reporting HIV/Aids, not sure that people who are not gay can continue to think that they are not at risk. :) Also, Winnipeg is not the only major Canadian city to be reporting this increase. Every major Canadian city from BC to PEI has had a similar story in the past 2 years. This is a growing trend across this country, it is certainly a growing trend in others as well. 2010 saw a big story about syphilis in China, for examples, as married men took it home from sps, and children were being born with syphillis. It is also increases the risk of contracting HIV, if you have syphillis you have a higher risk of infection. http://cid.oxfordjournals.org/content/44/9/1222.long http://www.biomedcentral.com/1741-7015/9/111 -

There is also this HUGE assumption that all the sps all the time post all their own ads. And when you see something like that disclaimer in an ad, for the reason you have presented here, I would say 99% of the time this is not the personal preference of the sp, and she is not determining who she sees, nor what is in her ads. I find this lack of understanding on the part of new sps and newer to this clients to be something worth educating them on, but then we also run the risk of letting them all assume that any sp with that in her ad is being pimped out by a stereotypical black pimp dude, and that also may not be the case. Not to mention, now we get the racist label for presenting that as the reason, because they simply don't believe it, they don't know this history, and it seems incomprehensible to them in this day and age. So put simple and in stereotypes, tradtional pimps FORBID their sps from seeing black clients, no exceptions, on pain of getting seriously beaten. If people prefer to think badly of the sp, believe me, it is nothing compared to what she could go thru if a black client shows up in spite of her ad, and she also feels pressured to 'make that money'. If being thought of as a redneck racist keeps her safe, then by all means, I'm all about everyone assuming she's a redneck racist, as long as that means all potential clients of colour do not show up at her door. -

And all you have to do is admit you are guilty to get access to the 'diversion'. Ok, just a word of advice, if you are going to plead guilty, do it in the spring/summer, because camp in the winter in MB has to be brutal. I think this program has been flying under the radar for quite some time, if this is the first we are hearing about it. -
SP seeking advice from other SPs
fortunateone replied to xxxAxxx's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I hope no one got the impression that i think sps will be impossible to find. That was very much tongue in cheek. Sps will be as easy to find as they always have been, the sites that accept our ads continue to accept our ads. Majority of ads are placed on non Canadian sites, and if you word ads in regards to their terms of use, your ads go up. The new direction is that now you will word your ads in similar ways when posting on Canadian sites that allowed more graphic ads. I really fail to see any problems going forward, other than it makes screening harder, which is the whole point behind this part of the C36 complaints. Screening allows sps to be safer. Advertising services dos and don'ts is a form of screening. Not allowed ad sites to post ads that show dos and don'ts and services prevents sps from prescreening, and therefore increases danger to them, therefore C36 is not SCC compliant. the old way, which may still be done in some massage parlours, was a posted list of rates: Body wrap 1/2 hour $x Body wrap hour $XX All inclusive 1/2 hour $XX All inclusive hour $XXX Going into a spa guys knew that body wrap was massage and hj, and All inclusive was FS. It was up to the individual sp to determine or let the client know if GFE things were available and if they were included in the pricing or extra, usually adding 50 bucks or so. If indy sp ads used the same coding, or used massage instead of body wrap, i'm sure it will pass inspection. and by that i mean during a phone call. You won't tell someone if bbbj or cbj, so that's their problem if they are so rigid in their thinking that they cry if they don't get a bbbj, and maybe not being forced to do competitive advertising and services means sps will no longer be forced to go along with a menu that does not sit well with them and their health. I know a number of sps who are pleased that they won't be forced to list services, therefore won't be forced to provide them or have an argument with someone about why he isn't going to get one, and maybe, with luck, the prevalence of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis will finally drop again. -
Racism from Providers
fortunateone replied to LisbethNova's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
And, the last time I checked, the sps are not waiting tables at a restaurant, where their contact with people is limited to talking to them, and putting a plate of food down in front of them. There isn't going to be human rights committees started up in order to force sps to service everyone who contacts them, because that is procuring/coercion/trafficking and will remain against the laws. So complain about it in an ad, or as an sp's particular policy all you wish, it won't get you in the door to see her if she has chosen this path. I happen to think that assuming an sp is racist because she has any such policy is prejudging her without having the knowledge or understanding of why she has the policy.
