Big Brother Canada 2

spoilers: re: the hidden secret power of Veto. The clues were put in the other day, and Alison found where it was hidden. To me she had an advantage since she knew about the secret room so once she found a clue i think she knew she would have to figure out where the room could be located, and the solve the riddles. re: eviction nominees. Altho she is a nominee, she did not use her POV during today's POV ceremony. Kenny won POV and used it, on himself, and the idea is now they will put up Sarah. They do have a pretty good idea as of today that Arlie will not be voting out Allison, but she is taking a big leap of faith that people aren't lying to her if she is going to not use her veto lol. re: eviction on Thursday, this will be a double eviction day. (this is not a secret spoiler) as to who ends up winning HOH will determine if the new good guy team (Heather, Arlie, Alison (?), Jon, Neda and Adele will see someone drop out or if they will pick off another Final Fiver (Sabrina, Sarah, Kenny, and since Arlie has left the team, new member Rachelle) -

First, CANADA votes and nominates both Andrew and Sabrina for eviction. Then the only person who manages to not XXX out on the POV challenge is Jon, so he is the one with POV. And of course no one knows who Canada would put up for #3 replacement, so he doesn't change the nominees. Which are awesome already for anyone not aligned with Andrew and Sabrina, and really who cares which one goes home as long as one of them is gone lol So Andrew is gone, pretty bummed that Canada hates him so bad. THEN HOH comp, and one by one the F4 alliance get eliminated, leaving HEATHER as the HOH. Heather who was put up by her own so called girl's alliance not once, but twice, and told she was not a target only to find out during one week that she actually WAS. So how pleased is she right now to be HOH and having the same ones conspiring against her waiting to find out who she wants up for eviction? So in any case, this coming week is double eviction, so it could swing the other way for the 2nd eviction, but the first one will definitely be Sabrina, Kenny or one other gone for sure. Alison who is a complete waste of effort for voting her into the house (i did NOT vote her in, i voted Nate who would have been the only other BC HG lol) and Rachelle, either one the outsider group will be happy to see gone if they can't get Sabrina or Kenny out. It's all about reducing the numbers, and reducing the physical players, so even tho Sabrina is annoying as hell and now even her own alliance hates her, she is not likely to win anything so they don't mind keeping her around. tho to be sure, no one wants her in Jury, they'd prefer if it comes to an eviction, evict her before Jury, and allow Alison into Jury. :) -
My question on that part of the report is what exactly would they have planned to charge her with? She can't be charged with being an underage sp, it isn't illegal for her to do it, just for clients to partake. She obviously wasn't providing an incall, so no bawdy house. And she wasn't caught soliciting in public, because she was caught in car with the client. Sounds like a lame empty threat to make themselves sound like heroes.

why mostly koreans in agencies?
fortunateone replied to mangotropicana's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Out here, most of the ads that say the sp is Korean or Japanese are B&S. The actual sp is Chinese. so you may end up going to a place and discovering that the Chinese sps have not disappeared at all! :) -

I think i am going to vote for Emily J in the next election! :) -
Decrim always wins these media polls. It will be hard to convince me if the feds poll/questionnaire doesn't indicate the same kind of results unless they fudge the data lol

a form of plagiarism?

To me it is also kind of a sign on haphazard lazy business practises. When i started, there was only a couple of newspapers advertising, but i took the time to go thru all the ads to be sure i wasn't using the same name as anyone else. There was no point in having my ad confused with someone else's ad, whether the other was reputable or sketchy, when a client thinks they are seeing that other sp's ad, they are going to be expecting that other sp. Since I am not that other sp, it isn't going to help me if clients are avoiding me or coming to see me expecting the other sp. She's just setting herself up for more walk outs, imo. she's setting up the original sp for some bad press, which is not cool if the other sp retired with a good reputation. The name has to be very unique tho, so much so that no mistake could be made that she didn't just come up with it by combining two ordinary names in an ordinary way. Like Vanessa and Jones, or Ashley and White. Just common sp names, with a last name could definitely be a coincidence. There are some name combos where it seems obvious the other sp is totally copycatting the name, even with a couple of minor changes. -

What you may not know (only on the updates/live feeds) From this: http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=BBCAMedia&Number=21389286&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&rc=&vc=1 Sabrina went on to do this: http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=BBCAMedia&Number=21389310&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&rc=&vc=1 Some of what she claims Ika said to her came from a completely different area and conversation: http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=BBCAMedia&Number=21389042&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&rc=&fpart= And sometime after this, Sabrina reported to BB, who then had to go over the recordings, investigated, found out Sabrina was flat out lying, and told the rest of the houseguests. Who now know she was lying. (Ika is voted out anyway) Jokers updates update is basically 'can't wait to get her out of the house", which is kind of echoed by Arlie and Sarah. :) -
Joy Smith, Made in Canada Nordic Model

Yes i am sure they all are making 260,000 to 280,000 a year. yup. oh, that's the 'average', meaning some of them must be making 500,000? did the victim story say she prostituted 'herself' or was prostituted by someone else, because it seems like a contradiction that either she did it to buy drugs and was working/choosing alone, or she had someone get her addicted, then keep her that way in order to keep her working. I don't think some of the claims by the abolitionists stand up to close scrutiny :) -
For myself, there isn't any info or arrangement that i am willing to do by email, so i see no reason at all to use email for any single part of the communication. My schedule availability is in the ad, the location, general description, etc. What is not in the ad is not anything that i will provide by email, so all i end up doing in an email (or pm or messaging) is to tell the person for that info they have to call me. Which means basically you can call me at any time (within reason), you don't have to send an email to make an appt to call me, i would also find that annoying lol. So for me the no email thing is simply more efficient, What is it that you want to say or ask or suggest in an email that you cannot do in a phone call? And then in addition, if this is what the sp is requesting and suggesting, and someone does not do that, they just go their own way and email to her, she is not going to think, oh, wow, emails are awesome. She is going to read that email 12-24 hours later and say wtf, why didn't he just phone me, like the ad says, because now the time and day he was asking about is long gone, and we both might have missed out lol. I had someone insist on email only, and went back and forth maybe 10 times (5 me, 5 him) before he finally set on a time/day and made the phone call. He showed up, and he could have done all that with ONLY that one phone call. He then proceeded to try to do the exact same thing for a 2nd appt, except this time he did not phone me and he did not show up, even tho he set up a specific time. he did however send an email the morning of asking about an earlier time, an email i missed because i'm waiting for his phone call, not sitting at the computer with nothing else to do, and of course my reply did not get an answer. So, no, i am a phone call for everything sp, and because i do mention that in ads, etc, i expect that to be done and I do not feel I am missing out on anything, because i would rather not have to sit at the computer 8 hours a day reading and replying and replying again and again when everything could have been done and covered in one simple phone call.

no, i think Ika is toast. I think also that both Ika and Rachelle are wasting their energy trying to get Heather out considering Heather can't or won't do anything physically at all. There is no point wasting a nomination seat on her lol. who is she going to rally arouind her against the girl socalled alliance? Of which neither Sab or Sarah are even a part of, leaving neda and Rachelle basically lol. -
Going To Get Alot Of Backlash But..
fortunateone replied to zoro1990's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I don't consider the replies as 'backlash' simply a bit of key information. The concerns are valid and the examples as well. If you went to a physiotherapist, a massage therapist, a barber or HR Block to get your taxes done, would you then expect them to follow up with a 'nice to meet you, hope to see you again" text, or respond to 'hi, how are you, how's your day going today' texts (especially knowing those are not preludes to booking another appointment with them? And then extrapolate from there and ask yourself, why do you expect the sps you have seen are supposed to be different from any other sort of service provider? I read an article the other day, based out of Edmonton. There is an organization there called CEASE, which is designed to promote exit for sps from sex work. Fine, dandy, however they teamed up with a couple of other anti sex work groups and spam texted all back page advertisers in the area telling them to contact them (assuming that these sps wanted help with anything at all, especially to exit sex work). On their work numbers, thru their ads, taking up the sp's time and energy and away from what they paid and posted the ad for and pay for their phone for, which is that this phone is for work. Any texts or calls they get on that phone they want to be in direct relation to them giving info or booking appts. They do not want unsolicted texts from 'helpful' organizations, they do not want drivers looking for work texting them and they do not want people who have seen them once in 2008 continuing to contact them to ask how their day is going. Not on that phone and not by text. If you wish to stay in touch with sps first do not expect a reply if you do not intend to book an appt, and please do not tie up their work phone with these messages. Send them an email, or if they are on here, a pm, or post a visitor message on their profile. You are one person sending out a half dozen messages to sps you have seen, so each one gets one message. So you think what's the big deal, one message? Well, that sp by the time 6 or 8 months or a year goes by has seen literally hundreds of different people if not 1000. Imagine if every one of them thought they should stay in touch once a day, sending texts, or even once a week. That would mean she gets 100 texts in one day minimum, each one expecting a reply and not one single one booking another appt. in the mean time other clients get delayed replies because she is so busy, because once she replied once, sure enough, the guy thinks they are having a conversation because she isn't busy right now, and no new callers are getting thru to make appts. Send an email. -

Big Brother Canada 2

Allison and Jon had a unique task to do the other day, which showed on tonight's episode. They had to have a couple of drinks (provided in the Diary Room) then go out and interact with the houseguests to see if anyone noticed. They spent quite a bit of time going in and out of the DR in order to do this, I gather putting down a number of drinks and getting pretty loaded. It turns out no one noticed, so they won the task, and everyone got a party of alcohol and snacks to celebrate. Then the side effect of that, i think, is Sabrina saw Jon and Allison looking like they were up to something, and reported to Andrew and Kenny, and now Andrew has decided Allison is up to no good and backed off. When in fact it was just Sabrina making stuff up again lol. i think. -
I think that had she been a man, he would have instead only said that he was "not a nice man'. He probably should not have used the word lady, as I think that is what this writer latched onto more so than the "not nice' part. If we are going to dissect one phrase, and that is the phrase the article is dissecting, it would have had different results if they weren't assuming he was saying that women had to act like ladies. I doubt if that was his intention at all. I think he was trying to find a nice way of saying she is a terrible human being lol. If she is, i don't know. I do know that having posted things in a feminist forum, and as a sex worker, that there are some who will latch onto one word, and ignore the other 1000 words in the post. Try giving an example of how language is used to sensationalize and manipulate people into taking up a POV, give a ton of examples, a link, and 2 or 3 quotes about it, then say that using sensationalism is a tool of some 'hysterical feminists' and the ONLY thing they will talk about is the use of the word 'hysterical' in the feminist forum. Talk about sensationalism to manipulate the readers, it sounds like this writer is doing just that.

Petition re: the Nordic Model
fortunateone replied to fortunateone's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I agree especially with #2. I cannot believe that the creator of the petition was not the person to post it on the many review/advertising sites out there. In some cases, I was the one to put it up on a site in various places. I certainly don't have access to all of them, it is kind of discouraging that the creator didn't push it out there more. If it were me as well, i would have written an op ed piece on various papers, or sought out all the articles that allowed comments and added the link in the comments section. I hardly saw it show up on any article on the topic of the nordic model or any other one, altho to be honest many many sex work articles did not allow comments or closed them within 24 hours. So you would have to be vigilant on finding them as soon as they show up and add the link. That would have been where the audience would have been. -

I agree, she seems to spend less time getting agreements with other HGs as in "i won't put you up if you don't put me up and/or do vote the way i want the vote to go". She seems to rather prefer to not do that, and has an expectation/demand they vote the way she wants them to vote. i also find that the HOHs tend to pick off the no threat players, at no time will either Paul or Heather be a threat, they are only annoying to two different groups. That's why I find this to be one of the first (and probably will be the only) nail biter episode since there is no real clear idea as to who will be evicted. Oh, also, why not keep Heather in the game, as she injured herself and is unlikely to compete well in the next challenges, and same with Paul, both are not good at comps. Better keep them around, and should have gotten rid of anyone else. Ika could have put up Kenny and Andrew and told them she knew one of them would win Veto, leaving it open for her to backdoor some other guy. makes no sense for someone in an obvious girl alliance to target a girl who would have voted for her or voted her way on that eviction. What she did was take two votes out of the game who would have voted what she wanted. And left two votes in the game who definitely will not. She did not gain any HG friends, imo, by her choices and her decision not to put anyone else up. I did enjoy in the POV challenge, the Andrew squirrel coming onto Allison. :) -

I used to watch AD the first year they did it, with BB US i think. the after show, so to speak, showed all the wheeling and dealing, along with endings of competitions etc. The AD BB Canada 2 the other night? what looked like it was going to be 2 hours of one camera in the kitchen on sabrina, who was lone, making food. iT WAS EXCRUCIATING, and i didn't watch it all the way, just fast forward, lol
