I wish i had known about review sites and the discussion forums. I have learned a lot about how i deal with clients from the phone call, to arrival, to the ambiance, etc. When a review states what worked, what didn't, and I could see the small changes that fit within my boundaries or that small things that I could provide mattered, it just puts your encounters at the next level.

Incalls Hotels vs Home Residencies ?
fortunateone replied to Phlipspecial69's topic in Escort Discussion for Winnipeg
Me too. I can't imagine the cost and inconvenience of doing incalls in a hotel, and how impersonal it is. If a client is that worried about seeing any sp in her own location, he is considering seeing the wrong sps imo. -
I always think it is like getting ready for a performance, on stage lol. But it is more like when i taught fitness classes. It starts at a certain time, which is coming up soon, everything prepped and ready to go, and people who are counting on you to not disappoint them lol.

I have been in contact, connecting and networking with other sps (and courteous client members) on forums like this since 2007. I have no idea what i would do without this connection. There are very few people that i am on an email alone basis, well basically one or two. Majority of people I stay connected with in sp lounges and discussion areas on sites like this (and sites that are not like this one lol). Some of the people I have known the longest I connected with by contacting them thru their ad like on CL or if they were on a more trashy site, to suggest a different one that would allow them access to sp areas. I've been doing less of this in recent years, but some people i talk to today online I've known since 2007 or 2008 on one site or another. Male and female, btw. I am not sure what people do without that kind of link, and feel sorry for the ones who may use it in a one sided way, as in only connecting or supporting one group often at the expense of the other group. For example, some rare sps will pile on the bandwagon to attack other sps, as tho they are their competition they want to eliminate (or discredit). I feel sorry for them because they will soon discover, if they haven't already, the kind of guy that seems to be their friend today, will quickly abandon them and throw them to the wolves when it suits them. in the meantime, they've alienated the ones who would have had their back from day one.

Punish the clients, not the prostitutes, says Tory MP Joy Smith

Check out the comments section for more replies from susi! :) -
Perhaps what cristy is talking about is more along the line of the Warnings section here. If an sp is known to be a thief, for example taking money and slipping out the front door and running off, is that reported in the Warnings? I tend not to read them but if it is only a case of fake pics, then that is a different story. One thing I have seen on another site is a warning about someone (client) goes up and the sps are expected to pm for the full phone # or contact info. This is done for extreme cases, and after several reports might be received. One recent one was someone who went into an sp's bedroom (her sessions are done in the main area of her apartment, taken his fee and another 150 out of her purse, proceeded with his appointment, and left. She didn't see the theft until afterwards, and reported it to susi who posted on her behalf. Later susi was able to recover the majority of the $$ and that was reported. Another case was a site member who had been banned before, but had created a rather credible online persona. It turns out however that he and his cohort would contact sps they felt were 'new' and harass them for bbfs 'or else'. In order to justify getting it, they would produce clean test results. We don't know how many they contacted or coerced before one visiting sp publicly reported them, and others finally admitted it had happened to them as well. The site in the past had no sp lounge, and no way for any sps to report wrongdoing other than reporting by pm. Again, susi stepped in, and ended up being harassed and the recipient of multiple phone calls/text abuse from these guys. Before this however, in the past, anyone seeing their online posts would never suspect they were trying to extort free and bbfs from sps. Sometimes just knowing the MO of how these guys operate is useful info for the sps who cannot get access to private areas, and also serves as a lesson for those who think they can get away with it themselves. Everyone knows that a very small percentage of review site members try to extort things from sps, almost every sp has been contacted by at least one person who threatens a bad review if they don't get what they want.

Last min appointment
fortunateone replied to SexxxyRebecca's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
You laugh but..... This happened to me today. I don't have a parking spot for visitors, but as I was waiting for my 1:30, at 1:25 someone i had not seen for a while, but had seen regularly calls. He never used to call from a cel phone, and it took us both a while to figure out he was calling me, and that I did know him. That out of the way, I say well I won't be available to set anything up until after 2pm regardless, meaning call me after 2pm to set up something for not at least 15-20 min after that. And that is when he tells me that he is literally at my building (i can't see the front door, but that's ok he isn't at the front door, he is on the intersection that I can see from my window  Anyway it all worked out, but it is kind of unnerving to get a phone call and find out you are right outside. (I had another regular who would also do this even tho he knew he was headed here before he got here, didn't call until he parked outside, even tho he knew it was morning and i may still be getting ready, and would need the usual 15 normal prep time) -

Punish the clients, not the prostitutes, says Tory MP Joy Smith
fortunateone replied to a topic in In the news
It's illegal in the US, and so of course it has been completely eliminated there. :) Both sides get punished equally. Oh, no, wait, it is illegal therefore no one gets punished because no one is doing it. :) -

Why don't they just do the education and awareness campaigns without the criminalization? if that is the point. Same results without needing LE to harrass sps, because that is always going to happen when you target clients. this is a link in one of the comments http://www.3news.co.nz/Law-change-could-drive-prostitution-underground/tabid/423/articleID/332067/Default.aspx it is a good place to comment, before they close it to comments btw. if you have the FB for it. I don't. ;) Let's keep in mind also that this is a piece of legislation is a private member's bill, not the governments. Plus she's tried to get it in place when it was only about human trafficking. She's tweaked it i think to equate with sex trafficking instead, to get more interest perhaps? -
It seems so young now. I think we are fooled by commercials and TV that present a 5 or 6 year old 'grandchild' usually with someone over 70, and yet it is very unlikely that a 70 year old would have children so young that their children are not yet teenagers.
-
Congrats!! My brother has 4 grand kids (so far) plus one that came with my nephew;s ex who is now 19 lol. He was a young father, young grandpa, and it will be interesting to see if any of the now teenage grandkids make him a great grandpa in 5 years when they are older. (he'd be just hitting 60 lol)

Have you watched any good movies lately?
fortunateone replied to CristyCurves's topic in Fun Threads
I liked Iron Man 3. It's my kind of movie, but it is also a pretty good one. I just watched Seven Psychopaths. I didn't think I would love it, and I didn't but it was also kind of fun and funny in many places. -
Are you classy when you're alone?
fortunateone replied to Cleo Catra's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I always wear yoga pant style sweats always, changing for appointments only, during the winter. I never drink from a glass like a lady, I always use straws for cold drinks. I am not sure if i like the feeling of liquids on my lips from drinking from the cup. I also eat popcorn for dinner. I get extra butter microwave popcorn and still put butter on top :) Dinner time is when I feel like eating a larger meal. anywhere from 2pm to 8pm. -
Approaching a lady about a "retainer"
fortunateone replied to Wolf Knight's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This is the way i suggest you approach it. if someone came to me and asked me to give 90 minutes for the price of 60 on not just one but all of the appointments even prepaid, I would not be interested. I have always had the opinion that being regular meant that the person agrees with and is content with my rate as is. And in exchange, when/if my rates were to increase, they would not be increased for the long time regular client. :) My friend however does a buy 5 get one free approach. Prepay for 5 sessions, and the 6th is free. That also would not be getting 1.5 for the price of one, but you can see that there is still a benefit to the prepayment 'on account'. -
Wimpy Travellers
fortunateone replied to mrrnice2's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This is true. also the bribery in places like mexico and Central America, I didn't see any of it in mexico, but i do know some people think some things are bribes, when in fact Canada does the same thing for example fines for traffic violations that have to be paid if full if you aren't a resident or a fee to enter the country, which Canada also does, If you are from certain places, you have to pay for a visa in non reciprocal countries. Canadians often interpret this as 'bribes' i know people in CA that offered a passport stamping service so you didn't actually have to exit the country and reenter 3 days later as required. Someone picks up the passports, travels to the city, sees an official in the appropriate dept who stamps the passport exit and entry and issues another reentry visa with a new expiration date. The entry has a legit fee, everything else is paying for the people to make it happen. cheaper than travel :) I like traveling, and encountered no problems with a very extended trip. most of what i work for now is to do it again, for a long trip or semi permanent basis. Whether you cross the border into the US or go to Asian or Colombia (on my list of places i wish to see), you have to respect the country, you are a guest and no you cannot do whatever you want. And expect the unexpected, give no reason to be arrested, you should be fine. -
^^ I agree re: private profiles. I am of the opinion that client members do not need private profiles, for example, and there is no point in any sp on a free ads site to have one, if she is posting ads and here for biz. So as a feature being used it seems shady lol. I'm on another site with a main forum that covers the US and Canada, with mostly US members. The main forum gets everyone from everywhere posting, but i once pointed out, why don't the sps have their location right in their signature? Many post for marketing reasons, makes sense that they make it easy for the clients, who are also from all over the US, would know if that sp is an option for them ever, without going out of the forum to check a profile that is.

Board Presence
fortunateone replied to roamingguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
In some ways, a post that some readers will consider negative is to me a good thing. I do not want to see the type of person who thinks that haggling or showing up short of the correct donation is OK, so if I am posting (a rant) on that sort of topic, or similar ones, and it does not win me them as fans, that's good lol. I still tho can appreciate other people's comments on a variety of topics. Sometimes also the rep point button with a short comment tells us about their POV even without commiting to a post. The same with Thanks, all comments and Thanks are always appreciated, whether they are coming to me or others, because I can see what someone else agrees with. -
The Jay Levy article is in one of the links above in my post, I see him in that Jes article in an interview. Cool oranges lol.

Board Presence
fortunateone replied to roamingguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I like to see people's POV, tells a lot about them. I like a site that has new posts and that many are worth visiting multiple times. I used to have a really hard time finding things on this site, because i always used the main page, rather than New Posts. Since then, i only click New Posts first, and then might revisit a particular section after i see what i missed since my last visit lol. Anyone can look at the post count and notice i always have something to say about random stuff. :) -
I'm a big fan of fresh baked bread. Picked up a French loaf from the grocery store one day that was still warm. pretty awesome. I got a bread machine for Xmas, awesome.
