  1. it could be a combination of body shapes too, there are one or two positions that are not that easy to accomplish for me, fairly basic ones too. CG is not one of those tho, and when i started it was described as one of the best ones for the sp to control their environment, and to be aware of what might be happening. It is the position the least likely for condom to come off (and not realize immediately) and for bad clients to remove condom and proceed (as in doggie). To me it would always seem to be the go to position, rather than any others, However, it is more work for the sp. Clients can assist tho, by actually moving if possible.
  2. What kind of person would borrow a phone then call the people in the contacts list? That alone is bizarre behaviour makes me wonder what the sp herself was thinking to lend it out to someone capable of doing that.
  3. It is illegal to use someone's copyright protected photos (in fact all photos published are copyright protected) without their consent. All sites if you report fake pics (with direct links to the source) are likely to edit the ads to remove the pics, usually actually easier to report on bp versus many other sites. As far as the B&S apologists go, they have a lot to answer for. We are usually seeing this acceptance on review sites. They will push and basically promote going to see these sps on the basis the rates are low and the services are high, whats a few fake pics and ages compared to that? They forget that one of the prime reasons for review sites was to actually report those things, not say they are OK as long as the sp advertised is cheaper than other options, or as long as they are in a micro/agency set up like these usually are. In other words, a white sp would be flayed online for fudging 3 years off her real age and/or using 'borrowed' photos, even tho the reason she gives is exactly the same excuse: she doesn't want to be recognized by family members. How many asian sps coming here from China and posting ads on Canadian escort websites really believe their photos, with heads cropped off, are actually going to be seen by their mainland china families?
  4. I have similar setup. Someone emails me i give some reply, including you have to call for info and booking. Oh, gee can't do that. Oh well, too bad. Same with texting, they text me to a landline, my ads say no email, no text and no messages. In other words, if I am asking to speak to a real person, there is a reason why i am not interesting in typing to someone who might be female, or 15. Same difference to me if the person 'can't' do that, it means they probably are 15 or another sp fake booking or a deadbeat fake booking, either way a legit client even if they didn't know or don't remember what you have asked them to do, there is no doubt when they contact that way and you tell them. I get people calling from their home phone, with their name on it, and then calling from their cel phone, with their name displayed, and they will walk in wearing a work shirt with their place of business and their name on it. If they can do it, so can anyone who is contacting a lady who is actually asking for that information.
  5. What actually happens in Sweden for example is that sex workers tend to not be helped if they want to continue to do sex work. Kind of an 'oh well too bad for you" if the client assaults her or steals from her. She is unlikely to report it, and the clients know that. I think this article sums it up beautifully, as she is reporting what sex workers (primarily street workers I think) have experienced. http://www.petraostergren.com/pages.aspx?r_id=40716 Just keep in mind too, that there is a comment in the link about how the fact that sex workers are not permitted any location to work in, that this apparently reduced or eliminated pimps. There have been more than one arrests of pimps in the past couple of years, a couple with some or one Romanian women, actually, as well as a police chief, and a politician was also charged with having three happy ending Thai massage parlours, so not sure how they might have been eradicated. \
  6. Anyone else not impressed with the majority of stories and articles about this event most often use pics of outdoor street workers, and not the more accurate use of just about anything else, including a picture of a banana, would be more useful than leaving an impression that LE visited street workers.
  7. These two articles contradict each other, if you think about it. On the one hand we are presented with a solid number: 150. On the next article we are presented with funding for someone to go out and find a solid number. Therefore this number presented has to be fake, because they all admit that they don't have the proper tools and funding in place to know what the number IS. smh bleh
  8. I think it would work like this: http://www.thelocal.se/20130226/46422 Feb 26 2013 And there is this highlighting the level of stigma that is now acceptable against sex workers, not their clients, they themselves. http://www.thelocal.se/20130912/50200 Another favourite (another story mentions a swedish politician was found to be owner of 3 different Thai mps) http://www.thelocal.se/20120110/38422 http://www.thelocal.se/20130808/49526 And of course http://www.thelocal.se/20130527/48160

  10. I have so many, but you've covered a lot of them and some i don't follow as well. And some, like maggie mcneil, is filled with links to other places, articles, and so on, it can be a challenge to stay to the end of the article and not click the links midway first lol
  11. * edit, i had forgotten about the delay lol i had a great reply all lost now. basically uncomfortable with the idea sex workers are the focus of this study, and not just any woman. It seems to segregate sex workers as something else, not normal. The other issue was I am familiar with a few research studies, and rarely see just random names and a gmail address. I see there is a phone #, that helps, but if I were to even consider participating in anything, i would want to see something with clear legit links to the university. Something like this has more credibility for example http://www.sexsafetysecurity.ca/ It shows a kind of disregard for sex workers need for privacy and discretion, or that we would be OK with objects inserted while the regular female may not be, maybe? Or just doesn't realize that we are used to scams and just not that gullible when it comes to offers and posts like this one ?
  12. I don't know why they aren't just seeking anyone, why it needs to be sex workers, to find out the response of arousal and desire, and stimulation. I don't object per se to what is going to be done, i think it is fairly standard to hook people up to devices. I just wonder why they would think maybe that sex workers are more likely to do this, versus curious regular random females, especially random university student females. Usually i also like to see more than a gmail address, like a link to the actual study information. here is an example of one study also done at a university to show the difference http://www.sexsafetysecurity.ca/
  13. Even when regulated, i think they use the term 'safer' sex practises. Then they list what that means. An infected person in the general population is obligated to inform past and future partners, I think, here and in the US. Failure to do this can lead to charges, mostly because if they have something like HiV one of the charges is exposing these new partners. if you were to google it, there are many cases of people actually in jail for infecting others, but also cases of not informing when they got diagnosed, etc. So i think maybe technically they do have the legal obligation. After all, if you don't get tested and you do pass something on to someone else, it doesn't make you innocent should someone decide to lay charges for that.
  14. That would be true if you criminalized the purchase of sexual services, and left the sex workers legal meaning they couldn't be prosecuted themselves. But if the fed made prostitution itself illegal, (which i am not sure that they can), then everyone would be charged, and of course, all the victims saved because they can't work in it ever, at all, never, so of course, no one can say the law makes it more dangerous, because everyone will stop doing it. :) Even tho prostitution is illegal in the US, it is really I think only illegal via each state. That is why I think Nevada is able to regulate in certain areas and why Rhode Island also did (up until recently, they were similar to nevada). It is the state that makes it illegal, by legislation. Federally, due to the Mann Act (around 1910), the only thing the Feds can do is nab someone for crossing state lines for the purpose of prostitution, whether that person is transporting themselves or someone is driving them. Its my understanding that it seems that neither the US or Canadian feds can make it illegal, or at least not easily. Otherwise both would have already done it, and if the US had done it, then there is no way Nevada or Rhode Island could have regulated to allow it. Which kind of means that any state technically could go the same route, they just have to decide to set it up. which is unlikely, but hey, Colorada decriminalized the sale of pot recently, meaning that the fed have no say in whether that is legal or illegal. They can cover things like crossing state lines, but not legalizing the sale of it I guess.
  15. You notice they don't say how old the oldest ones are, just focus on the younger. And the 15 year old, was one 15 year old in one location, with an older female. Ottawa's press release used the phrase 'some as young as 19". It looks like this article is copying that, and replacing 19 with 15. As mentioned one 15 year old does not make a 'some', but if they edited the pr of ottawa, then it would sound that way. The guy who debunks the sporting event Superbowl mythology of hundreds of thousands of teenage girls being trafficked for sex work calls them lazy reporters. They are copy/pasting press releases, and not actually asking anyone. He has a few articles on here http://sextraffickingfacts.wordpress.com/
  16. Sweden put their law in place in 1999. That is a long time ago, and many perceptions in society have changed, and it probably wouldn't pass thru the same way today that it did then. One thing sps are a lot more vocal and a lot more organized than they were then. There are other options that are more successful that have more of a proven record that can be chosen as well. If it was 2000 or 2001 and Sweden had the only example of what could be done, it would be different. But in 2014 NZ and Germany have both had decriminalized legalization for many many years and have done follow up studies at least 5 years later to find out if there were more, less or the same kinds of problems, if things improved or didn't. The research is out there for these other models, as it is with Sweden, and people are more aware of it. One thing that has to end is the automatic tag of 'sex' onto 'trafficking' and the idea that is being perpetuated that 'prostitution' is the same thing as 'sex trafficking." i feel that these new laws they come up with are going to be focused on sex trafficking and that in some way it might stop sps from traveling to different parts of the country. City licenses would that are enforced are already deterring the desire to work in some cities, as a traveling sp. What i mean is that they are going to try to link 'traveling' with 'trafficking' and make that a really difficult thing to do, just as they currently make working out of an incall a difficult thing to do.
  17. i always click New Posts when i come to cerb, it shows me new topics and topics with new posts, should i be interested in the topic. i am the single vote on the 3rd option, lol. I like the recognition of rep points total threads first, then maybe the # of posts if it is a really high # like 500 or 1000 maybe, and not a huge (no offense to anyoen of course) is the birthday ones. I find that choosing one or two out of the 3 most common reasons to do a recog thread, maybe narrow it down to one or two of the 3. On another site we have a Milestones thread, where big milestones are posted as they come up rather then a new thread for everyone. This covers both the high post count milestone and rep points milestones, and there is a Like/thanks feature on that site like cerb has, so it allows people to comment/click thanks as a way to acknowledge and congratulate. Just if you bring up this as a topic, you might like some alternative ideas if you feel you are getting feedback? fwiw, i used to be the one starting all the similar topics like birthday and 1000 reps and posts lol, but i don't do that anymore. It usually comes down to one person doing it :)
  18. Well, at least this time they plan to ask others first before coming up with something i.e. police and provincial. Why don't they ask city councils of those police departments what they want to do, or are already doing? Why don't they list sex worker organizations for some input before they come up with something. why don't they just leave it alone, and accept the fact that they already have laws on the books to address everything they need to address for sex work, being it is just like any other kind of work.
  19. I've seen a documentary filmed more than a couple of years ago, might be about this couple. There was fliming of him and clients, there was additional male escorts added to their roster because, mostly, the dates male escorts go on are much longer than typical sps or brothel sps. The clientele is different, so the sessions are different. It would be difficult to have a lot of appts in one day or week. The Australian series Satisfaction had a male escort with the brothel/agency, it was interesting in that they show him starting out, getting it wrong, figuring out how to get it right, and so on. It is interesting that the agencies approach gay men to go straight for pay, it tells us that the demand is there for male escorts for women, and the demand is not being met. http://realscreen.com/1999/01/01/24130-19990101/
  20. Border guards are not the police. They don't need just cause and they don't need a warrant and they don't need permission.
  21. With the papers i have advertised in, i usually have the least trouble with guys calling from the paper ads. They respect the hours posted in the ad, they don't ask for celphone pics, more pics, graphic pics, in fact they don't get any pics in the ads, and still manage to muddle their way thru the booking process and show up to have a good time. Online ad clients seem to have the devil of a time figuring stuff out lol. The most common # blocker comes from the online ads, and also the callers using magic jack phones (ID shows at area code 239, for example) And they get pissy when you tell them to call from a real number, oh, they say I can't do that, i don't have a cel phone i can use, i can't use the hotel phone, or other nonsense. MJ callers have to prove to me that they are actually in Canada, BC, Vancouver area first and foremost, because 99% of the time they aren't. I had someone call from the paper ad, I don't ask for but get his name showing up on his home ph, the # shows up, then again cel ph#, and name, and while here a complete rundown on his family history, i think he told me the names of his parents and sibling by the time he went home. Then you get the other guys who claim they can't phone, or if they are texting, they can't call, or they ignore your reply telling them they have to phone to talk to you, like its a big secret. The other big secret for some guys is telling you where they found the ad. Like I really can see them looking thru the computer, the camera automatically goes on and reveals them to me, uhuh.
  22. But would you see them if the full amount was discussed for these things being included, and you found the rate agreeable? Personally I think that the sp should provide a few options. I don't understand the mentality of having the same half hour and hour rate when you know the client isn't FS, let alone GFE FS. Massage and hj, or bj, just should be different. The risk level, wear and tear on the body, all lower, compensation to me should be lower. I disagree with the cheapie blow and go rates tho, I still think that balance can be had with less service lower rate. No one needs to be charging 50 bucks just because some out there think a bj has less value than FS or massage. if someone does bbbj in a quickie, that has the highest level of risk ever, and should cost more than a half hour FS any day of the week. Sometimes people think ala carte starts at a standard FS rate, and then the extras take it up to another stratosphere. Different parts of the country have different methods. I think people rave about Victoria rates being so much lower than Vancouver rates, but Vic rates tend to be FS only, and some of the addons, if it is bbbj for example, can be as high as an extra 100. One added COB was either 50 or 100, the end result the sp was charging 400/hr. Not so cheap when you actually want to do something. Edmonton massage parlours tended to have a 250ish FS only rate, from the days when guys didn't expect or want GFE, and/or the sps who cater to them for their own personal preferences. Those who are willing to do more, add on 50 to get the GFE. But definitely there was/is a big push to get an inclusive rate, and the other big push, naturally, is to make sure that all the sps understood that was expected to include GFE in the rate. For someone who doesn't provide GFE services to everyone, I see no reason why they can't offer it on a f2f by request, and for extra, to a repeating client that they feel passes their inspection. They wouldn't advertise it, and it would be ymmv, but anyone going to see her isn't going to be expecting or demanding it anyway. Greek should always be extra. It annoys the hell out of me when there are those few who add it into an already low inclusive rate. It is another thing that puts pressure on other sps to not only include it but to not charge an extra fee for it. Charging an extra fee helps limit the number of requests, which helps keep her body healthy, imo. I think bbbj providers should also have higher rates than FS only, for the same reason. Their personal health and safety is at higher risk, they should be compensated for it.
  23. It is nice to see all that laid out. Different sps have different thresholds for what they need to feel safe, but also some of that screening is to ensure the client is going to have a good time with us. Sometimes being relaxed, which the sp feels after getting two references and knowing the real name of the client, ensures the client will have a better time. For myself, i am more relaxed after a phone conversation assures me that the client knows rates/restricitions/services, and my age/appearance.
  24. Welcome to the site, from another wet coaster. This is a completely different kind of site than other forums, I think you will appreciate the difference. Recommendations, not reviews, mean that everyone mentioned in those sections are being recommended for you to go to see. After that it is up to you what sort of sp catches your fancy lol.
  25. It's like most things, they will ask about it, and decide if the answer is sufficient. Found on the bus will never be sufficient, as is 'that piece of luggage I pulled off the roundabout, with the colourful green rope unlike any other bag out there and that i just told you before you opened it and found the suspicious stuff, is not my bag after all". Well, then, let's just go back out there and see if we can't find that bag for you then. Another question: did you pack the bag yourself. No great answer if you've got contraband. Yes? Then you know what's in it right? No? You mean someone else packed this bag of your stuff for you? so we are going to examine it even more carefully aren't we?? Watch Border Security, people and mail entering Canada, it is very revealing.
