American Congressman going after Twitter for Escorts users
fortunateone replied to piano8950's topic in In the news
Why does he say that the escort accounts contravene the rules of twitter? if they are not used for advertising for example, can't escorts and sex workers have twitter accounts like other people, to express viewpoints. Groups, and organizations, and non-people have accounts lol. i do not spend time on twitter, but it seems coincidental that this guy comes up with this idea not long after the I am not your rescue project twitter account got some media attention. -
N.B.'s relaxed approach to prostitution challenged by Moncton
fortunateone replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in In the news
But it is most definitely not the only city in the maritimes with this new policy, is it? Isn't there is an almost exactly the same story from Newfoundland? i can see their biggest concern at the end of the article: what about the street workers? -
One thing that I question, maybe someone who went thru this or knows someone can answer: the police in the report claim that they were interviewing the sps visited. How many who went thru this can honestly say they felt like this was an interview, and not an interrogation?

Canada Customs most definitely will look at them.

Prostitution charges hit zero as enforcement focus shifts
fortunateone replied to Miss S. Lane's topic in In the news
I believe New Brunswick also got that memo. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/prostitutes-johns-won-t-be-charged-in-saint-john-chief-says-1.2510325 And Vancouver, actually listened to sex worker and pro sex work groups for their policy. http://vancouver.ca/police/assets/pdf/reports-policies/sex-enforcement-guidelines.pdf -
^^ 1. Screening in the US is a whole other thing, P, probably not what people in Win might be used to at all. OP, if you have developed a good sense of a person's personality, behaviour, etc, while having a phone call and/or after emails and don't rely solely on getting two references, I think you will be OK. Because it is legal, you won't have to be that concerned about saving yourself from prosecution. However, since you are not Canadian and basically plan to work without a work visa, you have to take care that your advertising isn't actually advertising your exotic origins. You can say new in town, but not new in country lol. Let your advertising and website show what you do and don't do and how much everything is. When someone calls you, reconfirm and be assured that telling them what you do and don't do and how much you charge is completely legal. This will help with your screening, actually, you will tell them directly, they will ask you directly, it reassures both sides of what is going to be happening in session. 2. Rates, you should look around at back page, cerb, Escorts Canada, etc, for a range of rates. And compare what you do with what others charge, and anything else that might determine how a rate is worked out. i don't think rates vary that much for similar sps and similar services. 3. I don't think Canadian incalls are necessarily in hotel rooms, in fact some may not want to go thru the publicness of a hotel incall. I'd say an apartment style set up would be ideal, if you could find such a thing in Winnipeg. try airbnb.ca for possible accomodation? For your chosen location, you should go read the discussion area and the recommendation areas. Also check out the New to This or Legal section of the main section. There are a lot of different topics and ideas that you might not have thought about. One thing to note, do not bring any electronics with you that have anything escort related. Set up phone and laptop with basic generic emails and searches, because border security can check out everything to assure themeselves that you are not coming in to work, that you are not coming in to do something illegal, and/or that you are not coming in with the intention of never leaving. :)

My guess is that in a spa, the attendants and management have each other as witnesses. In an indy setting, she only has herself to back up her story. They did what they did because they could get away with it, and because they made assumptions that were not based in incall/indoor worker reality. The story someone mentions of the nail salon worker, to me, that is an obvious and easy person to find. All asian ads that are not in actual massage parlour locations, where multiple sps are available, and some dude is answering the phone making the appointments? If you want to find someone who says they are trafficked, forced or tricked, that is where you will find them. However, they have to be prepared for the other reality, that these sps were not tricked or forced, they are perfectly willing to pay the fees required to come here to work illegally. However by definition they are 'victims' of trafficking. They are just cannot be automatically, as the chief wants to say, victims of sex slavery. It is,, to me an exploitive set up. High services, usually a condition of employment but also because they may be informed it is all safe for them, lack of testing and std education are common in other countries, lower rates than their legal counterparts, mostly to encourage the kind of volume they need to make a big profit before their visa time is up, and to repay the debt to come here.

All I can say is that it just pleases me to pieces that no police agency west of Alberta participated in this farce. They've listed Calgary and Edmonton, but i kind of doubt that either of those cities did what Ottawa did. They both already have protocols in place for accessing sps, they have indy and massage licensing, so the issue of coercion and age is already checked as far as they are concerned for the same group that Ottawa seemed to feel were most 'at risk'. (mature independents and spa attendants in other words). fwiw, they are going to milk that 15 year old found in Halton for the next two years.

I think they handled it badly, but i also think they intended to handle it badly when it came to the independent sps working alone. I don't think any reasonable person would think that 4 officers would be needed when they go to a location knowing the sp is expecting a single male appointment guest. There is little chance anyone else will be there, and if there was someone else there it would be at most one person, female. They only needed 4 officers to go into a spa, a place with several rooms and multiple people, but they think that is sufficient. But two officers at a single indy sp wouldn't be? And all male as well, ? I think ensuring the safety of an sp who advertises above a certain minimum age and has what is obviously a professional and business like ad/site is a waste of time and resources, so I can only assume the intention was a shake down.

I don't mind someone calling ahead and asking about a certain date and time, to find out if that is a day or time of day i'd be around. They'd always have to confirm the day of around that time of day to get the actual appointment, as things can change on short notice, I may not always be available then. Other sps have to book their space, or go to it and need more time to get there. It doesn't hurt either to call them ahead of time to ask about a certain day or time, someone who prebooks will know their schedule the day before. It might also work out if they are already going to be there that they will be open to your short notice call.

I've seen it in all ages. Sometimes it is stress, and sometimes it is medications, so sometimes it is always going to be an issue, other times it is situational. What I most have a problem with is when I don't find out until well into if not near the end of the session, that the client knows this about himself, and didn't bother to mention it to me. I like to take things slow, because in a lot of cases, things can end too soon, but a person with ED, that is someone who can take a lot more action a lot sooner, and in fact may need more action sooner rather than later in order to finish at all. Had I known going in, my session can be tailored to individual needs, for the maximum possibility of a successful ending. If I am not told until after we decide to call it a day that this 'often' happens, or not until 10 minutes before the time is due to end that this is an ongoing issue, i kind of feel that i've been taken advantage of and/or not given a chance to ensure a successful ending. Also from time to time there is a type of ED client who believes that the orgasm signals the end of the session, knowing full well it is unlikely to happen for them, or they want to switch from fs, to bj, to hj, to fs to bj and on and on, even tho i know that all that stopping and going is only making things worse. -
There used to be a guy in Vancouver, who also traveled into the Okanogan and Alberta, whose 'hobby' was to go into mps, see the lineups and leave. He'd then pretend to be talking about the massage parlours as if he'd actually had an appointment. He got himself banned from a few, as a lookie loo, and in addition spent much of his time searching for one or two sps in particular with a number of 'have you seen X?" He's been banned from multiple review sites, as well as from cerb fwiw. I'd say going to into an mp with the intention of staying is a good thing. Going in with the intention of only having a look, a hello, then leaving is not a good thing. Especially for someone nervous enough already to talk himself out of it. Possibly going in with the intention of meeting a couple of MAs, and compensating even with a token 20 is a different story too.

Travelling to the US with your laptop/phone/etc. - beware
fortunateone replied to qwertyaccount's topic in Tech corner
I agree, OD. Keep in mind the exact same thing goes on in Canada when foreigners and citizens enter into Canada after being away. Evidence they commonly look for in foreigners without work visas is are they coming here to work, they will check over the computer for documents and emails, and probably search history and favourite sites. Phones will be searched as well, so don't bother locking your phone, if you get nervous and can't remember the password, like one guy, they will probably arrest you until or unless they are satisfied. They will phone the contacts in your phone, and/or the person who you say you are going to visit. It is their business to keep criminals, drugs, and illegal workers out of our country, just as it is the US border guards to do the same thing for their country. Just deciding to cross a border means you have agreed to their terms and conditions of entry, and that includes full inspection and search. Having said that, the Canadian border patrol asking a US citizen the purpose of their visit is perfectly OK with the fact the US citizen says they are coming to visit an sp. :) I've been waiting to cross the US border and seen the guard take the phones of two younger females traveling with an older one. I've watched Border Security when the Canadian guards refused entry to an Australian traveler due to the pictures on his phone (showing him engaged in illegal activity, they felt they had reason to believe he was going to engage in illegal activity in Canada). -
Ottawa Sun: The Business of Happiness
fortunateone replied to FunValerie's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
It's kind of alarming to think there are guys out there that think that another sp would be agreeable to help them find someone under age. I've never been asked or even had anyone hint about it. One thing, hopefully helpful, is the age of consent has been changed a couple of years ago to 16. That is still not, however, the minimum age for seeing sps, clients must know that the person they see is 18 and older. fwiw, i would pass on whatever contact info you have for these people to the appropriate authorities, along with copies of their requests that you find these underagers. :) When dealing with the general uninformed public, i always use the term sex worker. Sex worker means everyone, dominatrix, dancer, r&t provider, sp, escort, courtesan, whatever. They understand the term and that way we aren't forced into using the abolitionist's 'prostitute' who are trying to 'own' that word to dismiss and discredit us all. They've smeared the word to only mean the stereotype (as in starts at 14, on the streets, drug addicted, mental health issues, and of course, forced and pimped and unwilling, along with experiences of high levels of assault and violence. And they've twisted the word into meaning that, which is why my preference is to not use the word for any sex workers, not outside of those who understand the meaning at least). I liked the article overall, and thought both the writer and the Sun did a good job. I didn't even see the obligatory 20 year old short skirted, platform stripper shoed sp standing on the dark street corner for the photo to accompany the article lol. The only thing I would mention is that it seemed like you thought that you, as an indoor worker, are unable to communicate with clients about your services, etc. This is completely legal to do. The only time communication is illegal, at least for the next 11 months, is when it is in public. which is why it is the number one charge against street workers and their clients, and never the charge against any mp worker or sp incall, or escort outcall.- 23 replies

I think you are overthinking the purpose of seeing sps and mps. The purpose is to skip over the getting to know you and seeing if we have a connection/chemistry/agreement. When you book an appointment, that is your agreement, a sure thing. with mps, as well there isn't full contact so you get massage, relaxation, touch, all combine to make you more comfortable with your decision to do this in the first place. There is no 100% perfect choice, there are only going to be the best possible choice. If you are having trouble with the first step, then i would recommend that you do not go to a spa/parlour, but rather than you connect with someone independent. This is something that you can email/pm first a few times, and see how it goes. Having said that, there are spa attendants (red named mps) who do have profiles here that you can interact with, depending on your location. I don't think a quick handshake and hello is really going to resolve your issue that you mentioned, actually. So a massageapalooza probably not a great way to meet sps and mps lol.

^^^ Reminds me of Sammy Davis Jr. He was very young at 7 years old, and obviously already know as a little performer, when this movie with Ethel Waters was made Do NOT watch this if you are offended by the portrayal of black people in Hollywood during those years, because it is totally filled with Scarlett Ohara's nanny type characters. However, this is also Ethel Waters, huge at the time, and the 1933 (I think?) movie is about how she dreams of her son becoming president, which of course at the time makes the movie a comedy and tragedy, and prophetic all at the same time. He's probably in his teens here, with his father and uncle in their act. -
Please Give at Least 3 hours notice
fortunateone replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I would also expand on the contact issue, is that you should make sure that you are not emailing someone who does not specifically say that is her number one method. I usually have 'no emails' in my contact information, and yet there is always someone who emails, starting off, i know you say no emails, but......... So just make sure that you aren't starting off on the wrong foot. As a phone preference provider, i have no problem with someone calling a week or several days in advance to check my schedule. i am unlikely to schedule an appointment written in stone with anyone, let alone a first time contact, that far out in advance. But plenty of sps are only looking for advance notice booking and will do that. so again, it comes down to checking the contact method first, and following that. Many sps will look at the content of an email, or maybe the sending time and send it to delete immediately, for a variety of reasons. maybe there is too much info, and maybe too little. So going back to the contact method, are you including all of the information she requested? There might be a chance she deleted it because it didn't. then given the timing, even tho i say no emails, i check my emails every few hours, and anyone sending an email will get a reply within a couple of hours up until around 7 or 8pm, then they are out of luck until late the next morning. I do not read emails late at night, and I don't check emails immediately upon rising in the morning, it is usually a few hours later, but that is because i do not book or converse by emails only. i can't imagine any email only for all contact and booking type sp would not reply on within a minimum of 12 hours, allowing for being busy, or the time of day, certainly within 24 hours. That being on her scheduled work days, but i would bet she checks and replies to emails on days she is not available, so certainly 24 hours more than reasonable. Espeically if you saw her ad posting or online here for example that same day, you know she isn't ignoring emails. -

Hilary Duff, for someone who is more of a contempory of Beiber and Cyrus. She was a cute child star, she didn't do anything really stupid, she grew up and still didn't do anything stupid, got married, had a kid, still being offered roles so she doesn't have to go off the rails and do anything stupid. :) I think Shirley Temple did not make the transition into a teen or adult movie star, which I think suited her just fine. She had a chance to become US Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia and a few other appointments, including representative to the UN. She also apparently sat on the boards of corporations and organizations, including Walt Disney Company, Del Monte Foods and National Wildlife federation. which i find interesting lol. My mother was a huge fan of Shirley Temple, who was born about a year earlier than she was, so i know a lot of ST films and biography lol. -

As long as you dont mention anything about pregnancy when you give up your seat you should be ok lol. I was on a crowded bus one time, standing in front of the young, healthy types in the front seats reserved for those who can't stand etc, holding on with my one good arm, because the other was in a cast. They got the evil eye, for sure. But they did not get up to offer their seat. -
The link below seems to indicate the majority of sex workers don't want to provide bbbj, or be pressured for bbfs, so i doubt if it would be any different here. I would think the majority of sps would welcome a government regulation that was put in place to protect their health, in spite of some claims that they don't like condoms on cbjs, they like syphillis less, and this gives them the backup they need to be able to say no. They fine whichever one is providing or insisting on uncovered services, whether that is bbbj or daty. The fine is mentioned in my quote I think up to 2000 NZ $. As far as I know, the reason to regulate and make safe sex mandatory is a public safety issue plus this way all sps are on level playing ground, and none of them have to risk their overall health to be competitive. This way the client or the employer can no longer put pressure on them to provide services that endanger their health, and they no longer have to defend themselves for providing safer sex services. I think this link is from the review they did of the results of the PRA 5 years after it was brought in, this section concerns the safer sex requirement and some sp's responses about it. http://www.justice.govt.nz/policy/commercial-property-and-regulatory/prostitution/prostitution-law-review-committee/publications/key-informant-interviews/4-welfare-health-and-safety

Do you offer MSOG?
fortunateone replied to Studio 110 by Sophia's topic in Escort Discussion for New Brunswick
There are a few ways to address this question, but all the yes answers have to be with the disclaimer (it's your body, dude, you tell me if you can do msog or not) The reality is that in a shorter session, the majority of guys cannot achieve a 2nd sog. And that includes an hour session. So I tend to ask them if they have experience doing more than one in the time allowed, and remind them that if they paid for a half hour, they don't get to stay until the 2nd one happens if that means it is more than the time agreed upon. They have no way to get mad if you include disclaimers with your agreement, imo. You spell it out, and leave it up to them to decide what they are going to do, or not do, and then it is all on them if the 2nd doesn't happen. For those who have never tried or don't know, then i describe what will happen in order to make the 2nd one even probable. The first is right away, little prep time, less foreplay time, in order to assure the max time between starting to try the 2nd. I use the work try a few times lol. Also words like realistic, and so on. It's never a bad thing as long as there is one sog, and as mentioned some guys just enjoy the attempt to get number 2, but i often wonder while they may enjoy that, why not have simply started knowing there would be one sog, and spend the entire time in session getting to that one sog.
