Is this actually cyberbullying?
fortunateone replied to bcguy42's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
There are a few lessons in this story. One is as an actor, sp or whoever, watch what kinds of pictures are put into the public domain, and that includes advertising (face and body shots, facebook, etc etc) The other is I guess she knew from the time the photo was published in the past that it was copyright protected and someone had the right to demand it be taken down. That someone isn't her, tho, she wouldn't be the owner of it, even tho she is the subject of it. The TV show holds the ownership. However, she is right, that if they don't have permission, people can't post random stuff even if it is on the internet already. That is why I think internet law/public laws need to be taught in school, because a lot of the time people are ignorant of the laws, but now anyone with a computer and a finger can post something that is against the law. I find the 'it was just a joke' excuse a lame one. A lot of evil things are done by people who think stuff is funny, or simply because they want to do it, and sometimes that goes too far. He lacks empathy, he posted something he knew would be embarrassing, on purpose. When he had to take it down, he had a tantrum and lashed out with more insults. At all times, he knew exactly what he was doing. That he should have known better goes without saying. His real excuse is, 'it's the internet, it's not real life'. -
Does a Face Pic make a big difference?
fortunateone replied to SultryNikki's topic in Escort Discussion for Winnipeg
I think showing face pics is the exception, not the majority, so there is no reason at all to even consider showing your face. especially if you are new to the biz, you don't yet know how long you may be doing this, and you don't know who might be checking out new ads. Some potential clients will ask. Some potential clients ask for a lot of different things that you don't do and don't offer, so you just have to have an answer ready for those questions the same as if they ask for face pics. They'll say 'many' do show face pics, to which I just tell them that's BS. "many' do not, and of the few ads that do have face pics, the majority of those are B&S fake pics, so of course the sp doesn't mind if the face is showing lol. -
The White Knights Myth VS Reality
fortunateone replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
There is a different term for that, and usually refers to situations where no defense or saving is required. The WK reference on review forums is usually thrown at someone who has the decency to step up and make the slinger accountable for not behaving like a human being. There is a pretty good example in this thread lol. In reality, WK is an insult, not something that people actually are or do. It is a way to dismiss someone stepping in and pointing out a poster is rude, potentially a serial rapist, or at best, slandering the other member. Using it as an insult is a way to dismiss whatever that accused WK poster has to say, so they don't have to be accountable for the rude or horrific things they post. It rarely if ever has anything to do with when a poster has actually seen the sp and is posting a counter to whatever accusation or comments have been made about her. It usually comes with a comment like "wow, no wonder she kicked you out and took the donation." after the accused WK reads what the other guy has to say. A WK is a client, and has little interest in getting sps out of the business. :) Apparently you aren't allowed to post anything that might imply that you are on 'her' side, or you may be accused of this. A 'lap dog' is usually reference, in the same derogatory way and for the same reasoning, if the poster has actually seen the sp and/or is her regular :) -
See, to me, that is as far as this story needed to go. . I'm not saying every worthy sp has a recommendation, or even a review. But like mod points out, as does CK, can any of the negative comments you read be verified? He puts up 10% of the reports he receives, which seems really really low in comparison to the number of trashing and bashing reviews I've read over the years that make it onto other sites. One thing clients don't see when they read these reviews and comments is the comments from the other side. His "rushed" is her "I couldn't get him to the door, he spent 20 minutes past the time the session was over, just getting dressed". His 'cold" is her "he made me uncomfortable, i couldn't wait for the session to be over' or 'he kept asking me for things I already told him I don't provide'. His 'distracted' is her "I hope he doesn't hurt me'. Lots of things affect a first appointment. I don't know many sps who can fully relax until someone is visiting for a 2nd or 3rd time. To review based on a first one time visit doesn't seem helpful, unless it is a review only about the advertising and pictures, and the basics of did she do what she promised, and did she charge what she was supposed to charge, and are the pictures accurate. You know, all those things that review sites were created for in the first place, but now evolved into a place to try to intimidate them into providing more for less, and nit pick over the small details that shouldn't even be an issue.

I'm always curious about why it is so difficult for people to simply go to see an sp who received a recommendation versus someone who did not. Why agonize over the fact that there isn't a 'review' or negative comments allowed? Recos cover the basics of the sp, and indicate that the person thought highly enough of her to recommend that other go to see her. Meaning the pics would be legit, the advertising accurate, and the sp herself professional and reliable. If that is what a good review would tell potential clients, then why is there such a hard time accepting that same information from a recommendation on cerb? I find it puzzling why the potential clients who have a hard time making a move without someone with some credibility out there to post where they should move to, can't just read recos and figure out that someone who gets a reco would be a good person to move with. lol

Classifieds System ... and why?
fortunateone replied to mod's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think it took me about 30 seconds, and that included me taking the time to load the photos, which often does take time. If any sp is finding it more complex, just don't tick off any of the options and put all the info in the ad. I copy and paste my existing ad from the other section, and it gave me all my formating, centreing, italics and bolding, just as in the original. That's why it doesn't take me any time to post an ad anyway, I just reuse the same info, since i actually do not change (much), :) most online advertising sps should be familiar with the format of placing ads on this new Beta version, imo, and there shouldn't be a really big disconnect between the old version, the new one, and especially other advertising sites. There are similarities in this new version from a variety of other sites, including the checklist forms. -
What kind of business etiquette is this?
fortunateone replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Rule of thumb for texters is to pass the "Would this be OK if it was a phone call instead of a text?" If the answer is NO or HELL NO, then don't do it. There is no reason why traveling sps can't update previous clients or contacts by pm or email, there are ten dozen reasons why they shouldn't do it by phone or texting. Why people treat texts differently from phone calls is beyond me. The phone rings or beeps. The messsage comes in. It is completely readable to anyone in view of the phone. A phone call comes in. The phone rings. Receiver answers the call. The conversation, on only one side, is open to anyone within earshot. If people can understand what happens in that second case, why don't they understand the reality of sending out texts? Especially blatant and graphic and revealing ones. The sp texting would have been better off with a very basic and generic message, that aren't so obviously sex worker talk. -
Do you think that Aphrodisiac's work.
fortunateone replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Interesting that bananas are on the list, because they are also well known for helping you fall asleep. Eating a banana before bedtime can help with drowsiness. So not sure how helpful it would be as an aphrodesiac, unless being relaxed is the goal and purpose of it being on the list lol -
Have you/do you cyber sex?
fortunateone replied to emiafish's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have to agree. We had someone on an ad site out here that got himself banned and recreated handles a few times. He was getting complaints because all he ever wanted was to chat up the sps, and try to get web cam chats out of them, and even admitted the chance of booking any appointments (as in paying for anyone's time) was slim to none. So, my words of wisdom to anyone, is 'don't be that guy." Don't be the guy who sends out pms or starts private chats while in the chat room, knowing full well you are talking to someone you cannot meet, even though you want to. The sps on sites here are advertising, and while they may be interested in general chats, and topics for discussion, what they won't appreciate is the idea that someone who is contacting them and starting up chats and pms isn't ever going to book their (paid) time. Now, if you are interested in paying for the service of pms and sexting and so on, there are avenues for you to pay the ladies who are open to this idea. I do know of someone who used to make herself available for phone calls after receiving a mutually agreed upon fee. -

Does post count still count?
fortunateone replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've seen some, not many, forum members who do seem to be deliberately increasing the # of post counts, and when you do take a look at those posts, they are basically fluff. It seems obvious what they are up to. I've been on sites where my join date was older than theirs, for example, but within a few months, they've already tripled the # of posts compared to my own. That always seems fishy to me. What are they trying to accomplish? Manufacture a reputation? Give the illusion of reliability? Because if someone takes a look at their 1,000 post count, with a fairly meaningful recent post, then wants to take a look at whatever other pearls of wisdom they have dispensed, they will be sadly misled into a series of "well done', "ditto', "+1" or a series of 'funny' but thread relevant picture posts that account for 900 of their posts. So quality is key. I am a bit suspicious of the long time members who suddenly start posting, after 3 or more years of silence. It seems like these are accounts that might have been hacked (emailing for password level of hacking), especially if it is followed by dozens and hundreds of posts, to establish forum credibility. In any case, those types of posters seem a bit desperate, trying to establish a reputation and credibility they are unable to establish any other way. Tells me they are up to something lol. -
Bad Breathe and CERB SP's
fortunateone replied to toklat77's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Tic tac under the tongue is my secret. It's a skill to be mastered, to avoid passing it on to your partner or choking on it if it goes down the throat lol. Mouthwash covers the mouth, but not the throat, so my advice is to ensure that something minty fresh goes all the way back there as well. Avoid toothbrushing too close to appointments. It is considered something that increases risk, by creating tiny skin tears/abrasions. An hour before or so should be fine. -
High end service providers models 500 / HR +
fortunateone replied to badkirby's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
There are some sps here that do have 2 hour minimums, and do charge 500/hr regular rates and who I believe are pretty perfect. But it isn't usually just their looks that make those rates possible. It takes experience and skill to be able to be the kind of companion that appeals to the kind of gentleman who is able to pay those kinds of rates on a regular basis, as he also has pretty high expectations and the sp is more than an sp, but also an escort, companion, and is able to be seen and spend time with him in public as well as private. You would be paying for a total package and I am always in awe of the women who are the total package. I think if you were to base your decision on rates alone, you are going to be frustrated and disappointed. High expectations may be met and exceeded, but no one can meet or exceed unrealistic ones. -
it is interesting because out west, one goes to a massage parlour for the massage plus everything from hj, bj to FS. In fact I think some places get cranky if there is only going to be a hj (less tip for the attendant). So at the same time, it is unlikely anyone doing massage plus hj, if that is all that they provide, does this with anything GFE. Topless and minimal touching would be the norm in an MA experience here. And that is the point, that the clients seeking massage only services are not looking for more, they don't want GFE, they don't want kissing for sure, they don't want a bj. Sometimes it is because that is their moral line in the sand if they have an SO, sometimes it is a fluid exchange fear, and sometimes it is health issues that led to an inability to do FS anyway, and sometimes it is a cost issue, because a basic massage and hj session (as i mention) is going to be less than a FS session. I provide both types of sessions, and a few sps out here do that as well. They do massage start, like the massage parlours, and endings are as requested. I have a $20 difference between a half hour massage rate and a half hour FS rate, so it isn't about the money, and it isn't that they choose the less expensive one but would like the FS option, it is because they don't want FS. Simple as that. About 10% maybe less of my massage only clients will switch it up from time to time and choose FS or a bj finish. Sometimes, but it is that rare. Some start with massage sessions when they first come to see me, then switch after a few visits. Something FS clients find hard to believe is the fact that massage only clients exist, that anyone would choose to not have FS when FS is an option. The only way to prove to them that clients do choose that is by talking to providers who do offer both. (someone mentioned the bias that may appear when SP or MA's reply to this topic lol, but I am here to say I provide both, distinct and different pricing and different ending options, and a large percentage of my clients, even with only a 20 dollar difference, still choose massage only with hj finish). And still there are a lot of providers whose idea of different options for clients to drum up more business is to provide the same thing (FS or bjs) at a lower price for less time, instead of providing a different and unique thing (massage and hj for a longer time at the same rates). Oh, well, more for me. :) Nothing more fun that slippery massage and a happy slippery ending.

This is my thought as well. If the buddy gave my number out (my # is in my ads, it isn't a secret), then the buddy shouldn't care that he gave the # to his friend and the friend is telling me who gave him my #. When the new caller won't tell me, it just lets me know that he is either lying or being pranked. I tell them they shouldn't rely on referrals, but choose an sp who is right for them, and that means looking at the ads and making the calls based on who suits them. I tell them their 'buddy' might be pranking them, because I am obviously not a younger or less restrictive sp, nor do I have really low rates, so he might be in for a surprise to find out more about me. It is always my opinion that the 'friend' is giving a number telling the guy its a hot young chick up for anything, and he finds out that I am not. pranked. The others have seen the ad but they don't want to admit which ad site they saw, so they come up with the 'friend' excuse. Also they want you to sit there and tell them everything that was in the ad. They may be prank calling me, as well, again I think this because I am older and more massage oriented, so they can feign surprise at the age, or tell me that i sound 'hot'. yah, ok. This not wanting to let me know what ad they saw is a common one, even for the guys not saying their buddy gave them my number. I have actually told many guys that I can't see them thru the computer, meaning that knowing what ad they saw won't tell me who they are or where they are or what they look like.

15 minute sessions?
fortunateone replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It does seem to cheapen the whole thing. For myself, i don't see the point of offering anyone a rate option for this. If someone is in a big rush or finds they don't take more than 14 minutes i don't see why they can't just take the time they want to take, and compensate the sp for the half hour, because that is the time she is providing. That is also what it is costing her to give a lower rate for a 15 minute time session, she is giving up the chance of a half hour or hour appointment for very little return. Let's be realistic, no sp offering 15 minute sessions should expect that client to be in her place more than 16 minutes door to door otherwise, why isn't he paying for a half hour?. And how can anyone reasonably expect the sp to not watch the clock, to ensure he is not taking advantage of this option, in order to stay longer but pay for less. It seems like a very fine line.- 76 replies

Hi, new member here, why not say hello?
fortunateone replied to dolphinxxx's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
A visit to the clinic is not just suggested to get information. Info you can get from reliable online sources. What you are going for is to get tested, a complete and full workup, not just HIV. :) When you see providers, you want to know your status already. When you see providers, you want to make sure that you aren't bringing any unwelcome guests with you, in the case that this is an sp that does offer higher risk activity, you want to be sure that you are not one of the guys increasing her risk factor even higher. it is also a good idea, in the case you have a scare, you won't automatically blame the first sp you see, when in fact you may have had something for the past 10 years. A lot of sexually active teenagers contract something, and a lot of them either don't know or don't get tested or think it has gone away when the symtoms subside. They carry that with them into the population mentioned above, the promisicuous non-prostitute population who are running around infecting numerous people, some of whom then become sps or clients of sps. -
I think you are indeed 'New to this." if you believe that.
-
No worries, I am not easily offended, :) I can see it in a lot of ads, etc, and I understand the reasoning behind it, I am just concerned that the sps who do make this request don't think it alone is a good screening tool and relax. The majority of bad date listings have phone #s, so a number alone is not a sign the guy is concerned about being exposed as a bad date. And so a block # doesn't always mean the guy is trying to hide being a bad date. if god forbid anything should happen, I think someone's block # can be revealed by LE investigation, but this requirement of a number showing has led to people spoofing numbers, using google voice or other IP phones that show a number on call display, but don't actually link to any real person, and burner pay as you go phones that do the same thing. A number may show, but the person who used it can never be found. A number registered to a real person who blocked it by accident or design, and the times of these numbers showing on call display, they could be found. Well, that's my rationale anyway lol. I don't think anyone should do anything that leads to any discomfort. And I also don't think any client should think they are above the rules set up by those sps who want a number to show up. It just shows a lack of understanding at best and lack of respect at worst. Either way, blocking the number deliberately when the sp has specifically said not to, is obviously going to lead to her being snippy on the phone if she answers. I get snippy with texters. If my ad says don't text, it means don't text. I don't have text messaging and getting a text is annoying lol Additional Comments: it's surprising how few people leave messages, so I can tell you right now any message you leave is well appreciated. A lot of sps with texting will look at the phone call and assume you want a reply, just as you would had you sent a one line text to them. They really don't see the difference. You called, you must want to talk to them, they are doing you a favour and calling you back. Simple. Not welcome at some times, but for them it just makes sense. I don't agree with it, but I can understand it. I recently got a cel phone set up just to forward calls and to answer when i am out. It apparently doesn't have voice mail, so anyone calling won't be able to leave a message. If anyone else had a setup like this, they'd know a caller can't leave a message, and very likely might call them back as well. And some people are just unaware of the ramifications of calling you back 3 hours after you phoned and did not leave a message, but you can't really do much about them other than block their number from reaching you ever again. I'd do that with agencies or mps that call their client list whenever someone new arrives, because I have heard they do that to drum up business and that can't always be a convenient phone call to get lol
-
Very good answer! If it is too questionable to share on the open forum, it's too questionable to share in a private section. If some members are too shy to post publically, they can continue to send pm questions. If they don't have any posts, don't reply to them, imo, because you have no idea who they are, what are they hiding, what do they want, etc. So if it is info that is readily available to them if they went to an ad or website, just add to your reco "I've been getting enquiries by pm about X and Y, and refer everyone to the sp's website or ad, or contact her directly about this." That way you aren't sharing sensitive info if you felt that it wasn't appropriate info to put in the reco in the first place. If you get a bunch of pms asking the same info and realize it would be OK to have in the reco, then just add a post that provides that info. Whatever you do, the sp will be able to see what you are saying in the reco, if it is a private matter she will let you know. If it is something that needs clarification or correction, she will also let you know. Doing any of that in a private section means there are some 'facts' posted that she is unaware of, and which may lead to issues when she hears "I read that you provide X under the right circumstances" or "Are you still at the Hotel XXX?" or even "You should know that cerb member W is telling everyone your exact address." But aside from the obvious, if you are inundated with pms, just post in the reco itself you don't want any, there is also the chance that it will redirect discussions away from the General lounge, and there will be less happening publically where everyone can participate. This could lead to disinterest from many members, and sps, and change the dynamics of the site the way it is. The way the site is now, even tho the site is focused on eastern provinces, I still make copious posts on a variety of topics just because I am able to read them all :)

Ask about her rates/services, if it isn't listed on her ad or site. If she does it, she will tell you. I actually go thru all that only to have some guys ask me if I offer greek, and I have to point out to them that if i did i certainly would have mentioned it when I was talking about all my rates and services 3 seconds ago lol. If an sp provides it, she is going to make sure you know. Most sps know it is a trendy thing and that they can charge extra for providing it, so they most certainly will make sure everyone knows they do it. If you don't see it offered or they don't mention it, it is most likely not available.
-
Yeah, there is no compromise. If I have a set of rules, or contact rules, and someone decides on their own they don't want to follow those rules, then it tells me that they also cannot be trusted to follow my session rules. Too risky. Too bad you are limiting your selection of sps to see based on your inability to compromise on this issue. And just so you know, you are getting this scolding from an sp who does answer blocked number callers, and payphone calls. I have a number of regulars who call from either, and a new client I met today called from a payphone. Additional Comments: I will attempt to not be heartily offended by this assumption. :( just because I value you as a professional :) When an sp does answer block calls and payphone calls (and fwiw, a lot of calls from hotels are showing up blocked when they call from their rooms) in my case at least it has nothing to do with desperation, but experience. I've been answering the phone for over 10 years, back in the day when everyone who needed an address would have to call from a payphone, and including the days where all celphones showed up as blocked numbers. You figure it out. For me, complete time wasters are texters, simply because now they can do the same thing as blocking their numbers by using texting programs, or callers spoof numbers, or whatever. For me, a number can't beat my experience. The worst thing about block #s tho as mentioned is client tracking and knowing for sure, if I can't recognize the voice, that I've seen them before, or even scheduling. Getting 3 different callers using block numbers all indicating similar times, and one calls for the address, who knows which one is the right one. That is the risk they take tho, for not sharing their number, that I give out the time and address to the first call back. I have a list ten miles long for no shows and time wasters and wankers and ignorantly obscenities where I have their phone #. A number showing or not, it won't turn an ass hat into a gentleman.

Time-Wasting Opinions!
fortunateone replied to Wolf Knight's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
I agree, and prices do not vary significantly in my opinion that they should even be on any list of selection criteria. Once the client has his budget in mind, then anyone and everyone that fits into that budget should be in his viewpoint. And from there, narrow it down to attraction, availability, location, and last before price would be services. I can't tell you the number of people who come to see me inspite of my restrictions, simply because of the way other sps treated them when they called them up, tho. Given a choice between an sp with a higher rate, but who treats you like a welcome guest who isn't a time waster with silly or offensive questions, choose the one with the higher rate everytime. An sp who is patient at first contact is definitely the one to choose to see. -
The Provider vs. Client "Contract"
fortunateone replied to becker's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I also think there is a contract of sorts. I agree to provide sexual services based on receiving payment for them. Someone who does not pay, or steals the 'envelope' back after receiving services has broken that agreement, and is subject to charges or the equivalent of charges. I also am not a lawyer, but in some extreme situations, an argument in a sexual assault case involving an sp is that she is an sp, and therefore gave consent. The judge disagrees, stating she agrees to this based on being paid. If the aggressor does not pay, he is commiting sexual assault (this being in a case of actual sexual assault, not a client refusing to pay, mind you). -
