Big Brother 15
fortunateone replied to fortunateone's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Yes, even Aaryn admits she isn't a threat, plus as HOH she doesn't even have a vote unless a tie, which is unlikely. Will there be enough votes to vote out Amanda, which actually would change the game, or can we hopefully just get out Candice who is just annoying. I am having a really hard time with both McRanda and Howdice pairing, because these 4 almost never interact one on one or even as a pair with many other houseguests. they are usually from AD at least, laying around together with rare visits to other parts of the house lol I have to say I don't think McCrae will be that sorry to see amanda go, he just doesn't want his hands dirty to do it, even as much as he likes her, at some point he knows for her to go and this might be the best chance to have that happen no idea what the others are up to. some seem convinced judd is going to vote amanda out, no idea why, when he comes over to mcCrae and they seem to be talking completely opposite. -
No Black Clients?

There are a variety of reasons, I think. The good news is that someone takes the time to mention it in their ad, so you don't have to worry about even contacting them. And also now that you know it might be an issue, you can bring it up to them and allow them an easy out if this is also their policy. Out my way I've had East Indian callers ask me if I will see them, as there used to be many sps who wouldn't, also for a variety of reasons, most of them about stereotyping, but some of them valid enough, for that sp. -

Wow, you have a lot to say!! Thankfully it is always great words of wisdom and more. :) -
I'm so stuck on the comment that an sp with less than 10 reviews/recos will be passed over I can't read the rest of the thread lol. Imagine being, as Samantha points out, amongst a group of sps who simply will not ever get 10 recos, let alone more than that, in a 10 year history of work. I understand if it is the cutoff point, but come on now, there has to be a point at which the recos become a crutch and not an aid, a hurdle that someone cannot get beyond, and to be quite honest, letting everyone else make your decisions for you. When you see sps, you get to know what you yourself are looking for. From your hits, misses and other people's reviews, you get to understand what you are looking for in ads, posts, and reviewers, as well. When you allow negative comments on any site, the BS level increases exponentially. If people are not believing the positive recommendations on this site, why would the presence or ability to post negative comments change their level of disbelief? And worse would be that these negative comments and reviews be hidden from view from the sp, in a way she can't defend herself and can't present the other point of view as well. I don't know how many negative reviews I have read where the guy is a bold faced liar, and many where all there was was miscommunication, and where as Samantha mentions, there is a genuine intimidation and threats to post bad reviews of sps who won't comply. There is a reason sps try and then leave most review sites, or use them only as necessary evils. cerb is definitely a place where the majority of sps, the ones who don't typically trash other sps, or post their own lies about them, or climb onto the bash wagon to attack other sps, that is why we are here, along with the general positivity of this site versus every other one.

I completely agree. The reason I am here, and take the time to read and comment on various threads here, is because there is no hidden rooms where guys are permitted to bash and trash and lie about sps, and that they have absolutely no chance to do it publically either. The thing about this that I've seen is that the really bad guys work very very hard at setting their reputations up, their post counts increased, and their credibility and believability amongst the readers of forums. The really bad element knows to do this first, so that later on they can use their position to intimidate, threaten and coerce new sps into doing what they want, whether that is getting them to do things they don't provide, doing sessions for free, or deep discounts, all under the threat of posting bad reviews. I don't think a week goes by that some sp isn't threatened by a review board guy, with or without good credibility, about posting bad reviews if they don't get what they want. There was a high post count high review poster on one of the erbs in the past year or two, who was working with another guy, and their goal was to get bbfs by any means necessary from sps. I've seen how the p411 and datecheck sites work, and for myself, i don't book by pm handles or anonymous numbers, the person has to phone me, show their phone number have a conversation. I don't hold much interest in the verification process on those sites because they don't know what I care about in screening clients. Having said that I think it would be quite helpful tho, on a non safety issue, for sps who do need references before booking appointments and where the guy either doesn't have any, doesn't have any current ones, and/or has them, but the sp can't reach the reference sps for an answer about him, or there isn't time to get replies, etc. it's more like a short cut reference check alternative, in other words.

Showing your face pictures
fortunateone replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I hope it isn't a deal breaker, since I think the majority of clients would soon find themselves out of sps to see. I haven't seen a significant increase of legit (as in not using fake pics) sps using face pics, and there has always been both a combination of sps who are new to the biz and doing it without understanding the consequences in the future along with the higher end type escorts where this is actually the norm rather than the exception. For most of us, it isn't an option to even consider. I'd certainly never agree to send over the internet a photo of myself to a potential client. I find the main reason guys even ask for any pics is they are up to no good, picture collectors, not legit callers, etc. I suggested to someone else once who is OK with face pics but had the same cross border concerns you have to put the pics into a private gallery on her site, and then the only ones who gain access to the face photos have to go thru her first, register on her site, or whatever they would have to do. That would keep her face pic from just being out there easily accessible to border security or even family members doing some kind of tin eye search (i don't know why they would do this, people are strange, especially when they are family, it is just an example of what's the worst that could happen lol) -

You can see the future again. Amanda is BBMVP America votes choice for eviction lol Yes, i have been reading the updates, and seen the comments about what Amanda has been saying (i don't watch the full After Darks to see what has been recorded all the time), and you know it seems like there is a list of really obnoxious people in this house guest list, for a variety of reasons, that i did not see last year. Spencer is saying creepy things about Jessie ALL THE TIME Kaitlyn now she is out is denying saying or doing anything wrong at all. Amanda, GM and Aaryn saying racist stuff, or derogatory comments even as jokes. Candice takes other people's stuff without asking, apparently, ALL THE TIME Judd, Amanda and one or two other people seem to require medication to keep them stable Elissa is really not that nice, after starting out to seem to be a victim of circumstances (as in RR's sister) it seems she is just not that mellow or nice as she should be considering she teaches yoga lol Last season i think they had two double evictions, plus the first show eviction, so i am not sure what they plan to do this year with all these people. I like the mvp nominations, and i like that there are 3 up there all the time right now, but since the house is voting as a house, it seems like a waste of time to even bother with 3 nominees. i thought it was interesting that Aaryn learned from her past mistakes as HOH, and actually listened to what she needed to do as HOH in terms of who to put up in order for her to stay safe in the future lol. I also wonder if she was a bit worried when she won HOH competition this time lol. I don't think they will bring someone back as I don't think that is a popular twist, but if they did, I assume they will wait until there are 3 or 4 people in the jury house first. A lot seem to assume there will be more in the jury house, due to there being more people in the house to start with, but I am wondering will they do the double eviction twist one time basically saying the two with the most votes will leave the house. That would actually be fun. -

i thought it was both funny and odd that people assumed she nominated herself. what a bizarre thing to do lol, but i think the idea came from Kaitlyn who apparently is not a BB fan so doesn't understand the game? According to the jokers updates and twitters, America didn't understand the task, for the most part. many assumed they were voting for MVP, not the nominee. very interesting that the majority again wanted elissa to be MVP too, if you look at her 'winning' that way. What is more interesting is what's up with Gina Marie? Did people want her to be MVP or are those the ones who understood the task, and wanted her to be on the block (or also is she 3rd choice on the block after Aaryn and Kaitlyn) I hope Julie explains what happened and meant to happen, but i think that the majority of houseguests when they found out America voted the 3rd nominee will assume that america doesn't want elissa in the house, not that they made a mistake in voting lol. they will then assume that she won't get the MVP next time if it goes back to MVP right awesome tho. getting interesting. -
I don't provide things in writing, and would never write and text or email my address. I will give everything out in a phone call, as there is a clear precedent that phone conversations are fully legal and are not considered public solicitation. In fact if everyone stopped just saying 'solicitation' and remembered to say 'public solicitation' I imagine there would be less confusion about legalities and illegalities. The reality is that there is still an expectation of privacy when using text and emails, and there is no real good reason to not be able to provide information this way as the considering feature is that public has no expectation of privacy. The majority of police station computers have zero access to adult sites, that would be a number one reason why LE isn't just randomly checking in. When a few of us had to report an incident last year to the sex worker liason, much of it had to do with defamatory statements posted on online review sites. Part of the delay had to do with them not being able to access the links provided, and having to go thru some special requirements before they could view the material. Additional Comments: It's still a legal activity, the exchange of money for sexual services. i think the only issue that affects either client or sp is where that session actually takes place, as providing an incall is still illegal.

You must be able to see the future. I wanted him to get it, once i saw the competition going and he was still in it to the end, it was pretty awesome. This way the two would go up that went up, he could be HOH and not really offend anyone with the nominations, as the two that went up weren't even surprised. The interesting twist is now that the MVP nomination is going to be done by the viewers, not the houseguests. The more interesting part of that is that many of the viewers didn't realize they were voting for a nominee, but thought they were voting for someone to be MVP. I have no idea who is going to get the 2nd most votes (the mvp nominee won the veto so will come down), but i have a feeling it is not going to be an unpopular houseguest so their attempts to back door someone like Howie is not going to happen. They will end up evicting one of the two HOH nominees just because they won't want the 3rd to go at all. Maybe by next week when the viewers realize fully what they did, an America votes nominee twist will actually work and America's eviction choice will go up instead of their MVP choice lol. trying to talk about stuff availabe by After Dark or the live feeds without spoiling it for those who don't read ahead to the end like us lol -
I think some have lumped you into being a negotiator because you keep referring to what you are doing as negotiation. It isn't. You are requesting a rate based on a scenario that the sp has not (for obvious reasons) listed on her ad, website, or if you call her out of the blue and explain what you are looking for. You are asking her to come up with a rate that covers your requirements, that are not already being offered, because it involves often travel, specific times and durations, that she doesn't account for in her service/rates options. I think that people are forgetting that, and some of your more confrontational replies aren't helping your case lol. You are not haggling, bargaining or negotiating. You are asking for a quote, and once you get a quote, are willing to pay it. These things are completely different. And I agree with the poster who clarified what was being done versus what is being used as the term 'negotiating'. I pointed out the same thing. We aren't talking about negotiation until or unless the client is willing to give up something in order to receive a lower rate. Hagglers don't do that, and in fact often demand more than what is offered for a fee, for a lower rate. If this lower rate is agreed to based on him working within the restrictions and time, he is typically the same sort of guy who then in person continues to push for the things she doesn't provide for that lower rate, and overstays the time paid for. There are very very few exceptions to what happens to sps when they agree to see a haggler. When an sp agrees to see a true negotiator, it is on the condition that he has agreed to something less in exchange for the lower rate. There are few cases where that sp regrets her decision to negotiate that lower rate, because he is not a haggler he does not attempt to do anything that wasn't already agreed to. Before time is up, he is the one getting up and ready to leave to ensure he doesn't overstay his agreed upon time. He is not the guy who then goes into the shower for an additional 20 minutes, or hangs by the door for another 15 just to chat. He knows the agreement and sticks with it, because he knows he wants to continue a good relationship with this sp. What many many sps also object to is that the haggler comes up only on first visits, not for repeating regulars. This isn't usually something a regular does, but it is something that a new caller tries to do. So sight unseen, and services not yet performed, he decides all on his own she charges 'too much' and needs to be taken down a peg or two for having the arrogance to decide how much to charge for what she provides. And like it or not, to most sps, trying to lowball rates is seen as a sign of aggression, and not someone most sps want to deal with in person. We screen for things like this. Being rude, aggressive, controlling, arrogant, etc, all things we look for in first contact. The worst possible thing a truly nice guy can do is ask for a lower rate. However, it is my firm belief that truly nice guys don't ask.

I've heard about it before, and would encourage participation. It is similar in scope to the johnsvoice project and done by the same researchers. http://www.johnsvoice.ca i think the difference is that sps have a place to participate on the new study.

On the receiving end, it really is special to get a tip after the session. Before the session, it's ok but it doesn't reflect the session itself. After the session it is because the client has had a super great time, and it is way more flattering to get a tip afterwards. I don't fuss with payments, they give me cash at the beginning in my hand, so if there is a tip they aren't feeling awkward about doing the same thing at the end. They are getting dressed anyway, so I would think if you did something similar you have some privacy while re dressing, and can always leave something extra on the dresser or bathroom or whatever area you are in while dressing?

I think the whole thread is about the fact that just the question is offensive. The fact is, it isn't possible to ask someone in this business to take less than their quoted rates without offending them, because it implies, like it or not, that you don't think she is worth what she charges. And that will always be the bottom line, not that you can only take 100 out of the ATM so that's all you have, but that you don't think she should be charging 120 so you decide you aren't going to pay her 120. In a business, and on forums, a big reason why there are sps providing higher risk services and lower and lower rates is due to pressure just like this. And let's face it, there comes a time when the sps say enough, no more, they aren't going to sit silent any longer about this degradation of this business. It's insulting to have someone imply you aren't worth it, and that is all anyone really needs to know about this subject. regarding the mechanic agreeing to a certain price, they will do that only in TRUE negotiation, by not providing all of the work and time that was in the original quote. And specifically mentioned by me: if you expect an sp to drop her rate, if you were doing a real negotiation you would first tell her that you do not want something normally provided in that regular rate.
-
I think one comment back in the thread somewhere was comparison to McDonalds. Well, if i go to McD's I can't negotiate. I can order something off the menu and pay what the total is, and if I don't pay that total, I won't get everything I ordered, simple as that. And if I want more items, they will charge me for those items in addition. So not sure sometimes how some things get added into the comparison when they aren't comparable at all. One thing that does come to mind tho is why do these guys think sps post rates and/or tell them rates when they call? As an opening to negotiation, or because that is what we are charging for the services they are requesting? I am not sure what guys who don't negotiate think we are hearing, but most of the time it isn't 'can you take 20 off just today, for your half hour rate (or massage rate)?" It is much more likely to be: Can I get an hour for 120, FS with GFE, even tho 120 is what you tell him is your half hour FS rate. It is "I only have 50 (or 60) what can I get for that, (or I want a half hour FS for that)" even after you just finished telling him your (nonFS) lowest rate is 100. It is getting a call from someone who has been before, and the last visit they were short 20 so you agreed to see them anyway, now calls you up (everytime, not just once) asking for yet another 20 off the discounted rate, or they won't make the appointment. It is the guys who think they are negotiating, but when asked "what are you giving up in order for me to reduce by that 20 bucks", they don't plan to take any item off the menu, or even offer to stay for less time. This is not a negotiation, it is a hostage situation. Agree, or I won't make an appointment, and as others point out, this can be an intimidation tactic against newer sps (or even sps certain guys think are new because they don't usually advertise on a specific site). Bottom line, if we wanted to charge less for our time and services, we would be charging that lower amount. You won't have to ask. If we want to put on a one day sale with reduced rates, you will see them at that time, you don't have to ask. If we tell you specific rates for specific things, as I've told many callers, the rates either work for you or they don't. It isn't my responsiblity to provide at rates that do work for you. If you want to come to see me, and I gather you do because you phoned me, then pay the rate. I've also in the past said if 20 bucks means that much to you, best keep the whole thing and not come and see me. Because 20 bucks also means a lot to me.

SP doesn't age at same speed ?
fortunateone replied to integrity_L's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
It is an interesting phenomenon, and sometimes what you will see connected to sp's moving locations and changing their names will be the same age is used for the new persona even tho she is technically 2 years older. It is a difficult business to be in to show older ages, for sure, and sometimes there is an old school mentality that says "younger is better", and sp's working for agencies feel that the most. They may be 30, but the agency posts them at 23, something they cannot pull off, but they are the ones face to face with client.s If that sp goes indy, she may be stuck with that age range, and have a hard time posting a more accurate one. Also, there is a sense that the age is already inaccurate, so those who use their actual real age have guys auto adding 5 years to it, and assuming their 30 is 35 plus. So some sps got into the habit of posting an age they can pass for, knowing that someone is already adding the 5 years they deduct the 5 in order to post an accurate age that someone will believe before they call, And then you have the ones who actually use their real ages, and comment that they do, and know that at least half the readers are saying 'yeah, right', and adding the 5 plus years to it already, if not more, because she's so adamant it is her real age. :) But, you also have to keep in mind the younger young ones. The ones who were actual 16-17 posting as 18 or 19 when they started. So are they staying the same age 5 years later, or are they simply now posting their real and legal age now.- 30 replies

Ok, this just happened to me two days ago, I contacted the router folks directly. I assume you don't have the box right in front of you to tell them what kind it is, etc. in any event it doesn't actually matter what you are using or not using. It helps that you don't need a password. you have to follow a few steps. It isn't the wifi, or the router, it's your computer that needs to be reset. According to dlink helper, these things happen and it can be a number of factors. In other words, stuff happens, don't worry about it, here is the fix: bear with me because i cannot read my own writing Click on Start Click on Control Panel Go to Network and Internet Go to Network and Sharing in the task list, you will click on Manage Wireless Networks select the network that you have been using from the list and click Remove. If a warning comes up click ok, you do want to remove it Now go back to Network and Sharing and choose Change Adapter setting Right click the wireless network connection > click Connect/disconnect click refresh to view the available networks, and highlight the one that you want to connect with and double click it. do this again if it doesn't work. When i had to do it to my computer the first time didn't work. My friend had it happen as well and she only had to do it the once. cheers And look at me, posting a tip in the Tech section :)

I saw the AD, and it sure covered all that dramatic stuff of them doing their bullying to Jessie, the bed flip, Candice's flip out, and Howard's as well. Then GM. omg, he didn't barely hold her hand one time in the 3 weeks (is it 3 weeks) and she's going off as badly as Aaryn did when David left and A and D had a lot more canoodling before eviction. it's a bit over the top, but it helped keep her off the block maybe. now they have already done the Have Nots and the nominations, so now we'll just see what happens after that. I can't really believe that Aaryn is that clueless not just about what she said but how she might be perceived outside the house. But that isn't really the whole thing that makes me think she's wacky, but she actually accuses Amanda of trying to cause trouble and drama for coming directly to her one on one and with no one else around to clue her in about all this lol And after all that, like that isn't enough, she actually plays a victim card about being picked on because she's blonde and blue eyed. okey dokey. i wish they would vote her out because she just is that dumb, but they probably won't because like Elissa, Aaryn is the new bad guy and most people like to have an easy target left in the house rather than vote them out. Next thing you know, that person is in the final two and taking home the bucks. -
STD/HIV testing, are we all being responsible?
fortunateone replied to Forfun's topic in Health & Wellness
People are afraid to be seen to 'offend' the civilians, but a lot of people don't care if they offend an sp. Also, being a sex worker, they feel a bit more at east in asking the question, as tho it is something that can be asked of an sp, not a non sp. There can be more than one answer to why not,. But at the core, in the civilian hookups, someone doesn't want to bring up the use of a condom for fear of making it sound like they believe the other person 'has something' and will be offended by this. Also there is a belief that they can 'tell', just by looking. http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0042009 interesting research in Thailand. -
Equality for Women
fortunateone replied to PistolPete's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
i think a number of thing have changed over a couple of decades. Primarily there is a point when the girls and young women didn't doubt they could choose a profession or pursue an interest. I am not sure exactly when that happened, but some of them you will also find refuse to identify with the feminist or women's activist groups that actually laid down the groundwork that led to them being able to not even doubt their own ability to pursue an interest. I think there are a lot of women of a certain age who pursued non traditional work paths who found over and over they were passed over. Some older sps i know of got to certain points, then decided to 'be their own boss' so to speak. I am probably one of those. I've had a few examples of applying for jobs, not getting them at the time, then getting them when the male who was given the position left or didn't last out the week. I just watched an Undercover Boss, a company mostly in the Alberta oilfields. These have to be the places with the last of the 'men only need apply' types of jobs, and not unexpectedly there really are very few jobs held by women. The two that ended up on the show had both not been considered for promotions and attributed that to gender not experience or capacity. One had the added 'stigma' I guess, of being native. It was demoralizing and humiliating to her to not understand why she didn't get the promotion with few other legit options. Non traditional jobs for women typically pay a heck of a lot better than the traditional ones do. I think we see more women in more positions than we did 30 years ago, but there is little that has changed fundamentally. We are still asking, "is this okay with you boys?" and still stopping in some way the recruitment and hiring and promotion of women in some workplaces, in ways that are both detrimental the company and that worker's moral. -
STD/HIV testing, are we all being responsible?
fortunateone replied to Forfun's topic in Health & Wellness
I tend to come from the POV that you can't rely on the other person to be getting tested, and for many clients they really do not know where to go other than their family doctor, and it isn't something they are ever going to bring up. Part of being the responsible sp is getting tested for peace of mind as much as anything else, another thing is safer services, or fully educating ourselves about what the implications of low risk, medium risk and high risk activities really are. This isn't a place to stick one's head in the sand, it is the place to be able to have open discussions about the topic with clients one on one and face to face, and let them know what their testing options are that can retain their privacy, but also give them peace of mind. For the casual caller asking whether we are clean or whatever, I usually reply asking them what possible answer from any sp do they expect to hear? No? Aint going to happen. It is a pointless and useless question that isn't going to do a thing for them. Better to visit the sp, and see for themselves what they do and what they do not do, and get a really great sense of their attention to their own health that way. For example, and i don't think sps here go to this extreme, but on a show about a brothel in Australia, before proceeding with any appointment, the sp gets down with a bright light and does at the very least a thorough visual inspection of the client. -

It's easy to forget about Jessie. :) i did see Candice breaking down the MC group, i think she only left out McCrae but she is also seeing M I think talking with the other 4 one on one. People are noticing when the guys from MC are talking to each other one on one, they see those things and do the math when pair by pair, they reveal themselves as 4 in total i think. I think they all got into alliances a bit too early, I think there is a chance some of them would prefer to get rid of Jeremy, and keep Elissa for example, simply because with no one other than Helen El is easy to use to use the MVP she is likely to keep getting the more the others make her the easy target lol. Right now the 3 up on the block makes it difficult to choose a good one to go home. it won't be Nick, he is this week's jessie, it really comes down only to will Helen or Elissa get the votes to stay, and since Helen isn't really coming up with anything useful to offer, only Elissa really can offer the chance she will continue to get MVP for a while and if she isn't there, there is no way to know who is the most likely other than her to get it. maybe Helen will if Elissa isn't there, maybe Candice, either of those is less likely to be controlled as to who she puts up. I don't know but is the MVP naming the replacement nominee if their nomination wins veto, or is it HOH? -

I'm rooting for Mccrae and Amanda. I can see both of them lasting without floating. I can't see Helen lasting long unfortunately, because i would like her. I have gone over to the dark side and want Elissa to stick around just because all the MGs are against her :) I have been recording the After Darks, but not watching them all the way through mostly because they aren't really doing much of anything interesting although it is possible i am missing the interesting stuff by deleting unwatch parts lol. i have seen the dynamics between Amanda and Mccrae and Helen/Elissa and more of Andy and Nick which is fun. Spencer, being the older and heavier guy you expect him to be jovial and easy going, and he isn't I don't think. I have mixed feelings about Nick. He is doing a lot of gaming, and that actually is a good thing to me. I like someone who is plotting and really being active in the game more than someone who is just floating along hoping no one notices them until the first 6 are gone and they can make it to jury. i like to check in on jokers updates since I am not really watching the AD episodes. -

I was reading a quote from Kaitlyn about Candice as well. I kind of think this is a more diverse (for BB US) houseguest list, you'd think they would be more careful about these kinds of remarks. I find Aaryn in general one of those Mean Girls. In fact, her photo had a cameo role in one of the Mean Girl movies apparently LOL I'd be interested to see what happens regarding Aaryn, as i haven't seen anything mentioned about it (in jokersupdates that recaps the live feeds) but clearly not only is she not gone after last night, she is kind of in a good position right now. Jeremy seems to be a bit of a wild card, not sure if he understands what being in an alliance really means lol -
Just thought I would start the new thread for the new season. Love the twist with the MVP and 3rd nominee. Really special. Stupidest move ever, Elissa not telling anyone she is Rachel Reilly's sister. They look identical, and anyone that follows BB anyway would know who she is. I've seen her on a bride dress picking show, twice i think, with RR who bought Elissa's wedding dress for her. I'm sure there have been lots of articles about RR that include her sister, and that isn't even mentioning they look nearly identical. HOH mistake. putting Elissa up for nominations, when his alliance wanted David put up specifically because they wanted him out. it was actually perfect David went up without HOH Mcrae doing it himself, when MVP is anonymous. Considering most already know Elissa is RR's sister, and was most likely to be chosen as the first MVP because the audience also knows it, she is the obvious one who is going to be voted out by most everyone else even tho she is the least threatening BB houseguest next to Aaryn lol.
