  1. Perhaps the OP should thank cerb in allowing him to pursue outside interests, and eventually coming around to the decision that his relationship is more important to him than seeing sps. Without a safe place, like cerb, to find such provdiers, who knows what would have happened.
  2. I've met a number of above average guys who seem to think they are small. And some very large (often older fellas) who had no idea that they were very large. And seen some smaller when soft that triple in size when hard, then large when soft simply get hard with little size change.
  3. I agree. And would have to add that someone who is still in the middle of texting back and forth and back again on issues that could have been asked and answered in two minutes or less, may simply miss the chance to book an appt at whatever time they finally get done with this type-talk. If you have all the answers you need, and it is someone you've seen before, and they accept texts, then by all means shoot off a quick "are you available at 4pm today", but otherwise cut to the chase, is my opinion. sometimes I wonder if their intent is to confuse and occupy the sp's time to a point that she misses other serious callers.
  4. It is entirely possible that someone calling does not know their number is blocked (like if they call from a business or hotel, the # shows up blocked). So a feature that tells them they are calling from a block #, and redirecting it to that message, I think can cut down on that serial calling. If you just use a feature that goes to your regular voice mail, then it might be helpful if you make sure the message that they hear includes that you do not answer blocked #s, repeat calls will not get answered faster, and that they need to leave their phone # and you will call them back. If this doesn't happen, then try the *60 to block them from even getting directed to your voice mail, or ever being able to call you again. It only works if you press *60 immediately after the call. You could also try answering it one time, see if they are calling non stop, and figure out why they think that is ok. Doesn't hurt to try. Remember every time your phone is ringing, you could be missing another caller who calls at the exact same time, and their call is getting directed to voicemail immediately. If they do not leave a message, and do not call back, your serial caller is interfering with your ability to run your business. You may be losing legit callers every time that phone rings and another caller is dialling at the same time. I know this is not always happening, but I have gone back to my phone from time to time and seen that I do have a message from someone who called while I was on both lines. Who knows how many calls come in that you don't know about, while this is going on.
  5. I think nerves on a first visit are to be expected, and it would be unusual to not be affected by that. Actually doing a sensual massage is a really good way to get both mind and body much more relaxed. Also take that time to have a bit of a conversation. The most benefit is that there are no performance expectations, for either side, when you are comfortably laying out on your stomach. As a painfully shy person myself, I am most awkward when face to face with someone to talk to., This can manifest by talking a lot or too much, but also it can be vented out by being in a situation (i.e. massaging) where it is ok to be chatting, and not necessary to be doing more immediately after pants hit the floor. This may be something that would work for you as well.
  6. You can certainly base your rate on the amount the agency charged the clients they booked. Consider the client is already paying that rate, so it does not necessarily mean that when you go indy, and the same client or type of client comes to see you, that your rate needs to drop. You mention something about services, but I am not sure if that means you will now be providing more (riskier?) services than when working with the agency. Even if you are now planning to work with more restrictions, (free of the agency requirements?) you can still assume the agency rate charged works for you, your type, your location. You can adjust it slightly upwards if there will be fewer restrictions or remain the same, and you can adjust it downwards slightly if there are more ($25 less per hour?) Re: duos, you simply charge your fee plus her fee. There is no double discount for duos. re: rates in general, it doesn't hurt to view a lot of ads and a lot of websites, find your similarities and differences with other sps, and base your rates accordingly. There are certain conditions where super low rates do not benefit you at all, and there are some instances where super high rates are not appropriate either even if you think you are comparable to a very high end sp. As mentioned there are a lot of things to factor into rates. It isn't necessary to drop the rate too far from the agency rate simply because you are accustomed to providing at your lower amount (your portion of the total fee). It isn't necessarily better for you to charge a rate that is that amount plus 50 for example if the agency rate was that amount plus 100. It seems better to you because you may see it as earning more than you did before, but you are going to incur a lot of expenses now that you are indy that you did not have before.
  7. It is a good idea for the ladies who do not answer blocked #s, to find out how to set up the block # blocking on their phone. *60 will affect individual callers (with some phone services) and there are other paid or unpaid features to redirect each and every caller that uses block #s to either call back unblocked or choose to reveal the #. it may be a paid feature, in which case it is well worth the extra fee, imo. I answer block #s, and utilize *60 if one is rude or a nuisance. This is an example of call reveal. I think most phone companies will have some kind of similar feature: http://www.telus.com/content/help/home-phone-support/calling-features/call-reveal.jsp When Caller Reveal is on: An unidentified caller calls your phone number. The caller hears a message explaining that you do not accept calls from unidentified phone numbers. The caller will be prompted to take one of two actions: If the caller is 'unknown', they are prompted to enter their 10-digit phone number for display. If the caller is 'private', they are prompted to press '1' to display their phone number or press '3' to key in their phone number for display. [*]Caller Reveal then confirms if the number entered matches the actual number from which they are calling. Caller Reveal uses symbols to indicate if the number entered is a real, fictitious or unknown number: If a "private" call is unblocked, an "^" symbol will display before the name to let you know Caller Reveal identified the caller's name and number. If a telephone number is entered, a "*" symbol will display before the name to let you know that the name & number provided are based on the caller's entry. If you want to accept the call, simply pick up the receiver. If you choose not to accept the call, the phone will continue to ring until the caller hangs up or is transferred to voice mail (if you subscribe to Personal Voice Mail).
  8. Wow I had no idea. Thanks everyone, this is a very nice treat, especially this week. Nice shoes lol. cheers
  9. I actually saw it posted on another board just this week. The sp was asking how can she check that someone who claims to be an active board member actually was. The pm sent via the handle simply confirms whatever way he has contacted her, phone or email address. Very simple. A heads up pm could also help, like Hi, I am going to be contacting you via phone# xxx-xxx-xxxx tomorrow, just so you know it really is me.
  10. Well, certainly if originally she was asking for advice on how to deal with it, I can't see any reason why she should feel pressured to have to delete the topic itself. In the spirit of feeling comfortable enough to do that without getting any backlash, it is an important enough topic for her to have started the thread. Which in itself should make it important to the cerb community, I would think. On the topic of rates, I have yet to see, on numerous forums, behind the scenes or whatever, any attempt by any single sp or group of sps hassling lower rate sps to raise their rates. I am not shy about suggesting to an sp with lower than even the lowest of rates out there that she will reduce the number of low baller callers by a simple increase. That's a safety issue tho. And certainly no one has to pay attention to what anyone else suggests anyway. That a grown woman can post ads, screen callers, and offer services to men from all walks of life, but cannot stick up for herself to another sp is really really hard to believe.
  11. That's true. If you are examine what it was that you didn't like, it can be a very simple thing that is just your personal preferences. Like 'she talks too much" can simply be that you need more quiet in your sessions. Another guy will be thrilled if you say 'she was very chatty'. It certainly isn't a bad thing to enjoy conversation, and just because it may cause you to not want to go back, if everything else is satisfactory, then it doesn't really factor into interpreting that to be a bad session, or a bad sp. Sometimes the best recommendation simply confirms that the sp is legit. Factoring in that many negative reviews on those other boards have taken it to a whole other level, the extraneous details are not always important provided she has the info in her ad/site. I have actually seen comments like "I was disappointed because she looked like her pics. I thought she would look better than her pics." which appeared to sour the reviewer and tainted the entire review, caused a ruckus when no one could figure out what the heck he was writing a bad review about someone who provided everything on a platter. And that kind of misleading info is often put into reviews where negative comments are permitted. Having a site where the recommendations are postive doesn't limit the choices or mislead anyone. They confirm that the sp is legitimate, meaning that the sp provides what she advertises. Considering 'review' sites, we are often told, were designed just for the purpose, then I cannot see a problem with a site that directs the viewers towards the legit sps. So even leaving the recos to the top 30% does a disservice to the ladies in the 'lower tier', imo.
  12. My contact method is at the end of my ad. Someone who is not following that simple request tells me they did not read my ad. Why would I want to see someone who doesn't know who they are contacting? Why would I want to see someone who thinks that they know better than I do as to how i want them to reach me. My ad says no texts. After someone texted me on 4 different days over a couple of weeks, never having spoken to him before, I pick up the phone and call him back after receiving the 4th one word text. And speak to him as I prefer. He took issue with me telling him that there is a reason for the instructions, claims he 'didn't need a lecture' and hung up. The reason is I do not have text messaging on my landline.
  13. re: cash for hotel rooms, you would be paying a full night charge plus extra, afaik, as they wouldn't take a partial payment as a deposit. I am not sure if 100 will cover what they would ask up front, but there is a very good chance that the majority of hotels will accept a cash payment for the room. It will help that you are really careful about your presentation at the front desk, and look like a student or here for a workshop or some such thing. Maybe tell them your place is being painted and you need to study and have a place to stay without paint fumes and painters in and out.
  14. I like Pawn Stars, but like American Pickers and Canadian Pickers even better. That way rather than see one thing people have hung on to, you can see acres of stuff lol. I used to collect small plates (saucer or dessert plate size) that were old china, interesting designs, often from the 20's or 30's, totally mismatched with other plates. Fun to find. I don't really collect anything anymore, have enough stuff, more than I want or need lol.
  15. The employer is not inconvenienced by a bus strike, only the ones who cannot get to work, school, doctor appts, etc etc by the lack of public transit in the case of strikes. And having been affected in the past by a strike, I am completely for making it essential service. Having grown up in a union family as well, experienced many times thru long strikes before the times when union members could get paid well for showing up with signs. The families never recover, even if the wages are increased and perks improved. Altho I appreciate the efforts made in the past by unions for improved working conditions, most of the time these days I see the union reps trying to justify their own existence more than helping members.
  16. The advertisers here, or those who advertise and work anywhere else in Canada, fwiw.
  17. I think my point is that the anti-sopa faction is doing a good smear campaign and fear mongering. The examples used are extreme, and to be honest, unlikely. For one thing, the copyright owner makes the complaint, not some random person. Is it likely or reasonable to assume that Beyonce's legal team is going to come to youtube and demand the baby bouncing to one of her songs had to come down? Really?? That is the kind of examples given by them tho. As well as random folks lodging complaints, which will shut down the internet? Really?? Do random folks own the copyright material? No, they don't. But neither does the site profiting from selling it, which actually is the issue here. I've seen the wiki guy interviewed. All these ppl do is say 'it bad, not good, make it stop". They have absolutely no reasons given as to why "it bad" and absolutely no effort in suggesting what would be better. If anyone really wants an unbiased opinion of the act, I would suggest one looks deeper into who is really affected by the way things are, and how they are suffering because of it. Then take another look at who is benefiting by the way things are, and how they are profiting from it. Take a harder look at the hypocrisy of the opponents.
  18. You are not competing with ladies who charge lower rates, the caller is competing with clients who are willing to pay your rates. That is what it comes down to, at the end of the day. If the caller wants to pay a lower rate, that option is always available to them. All they need to do is call someone who already charges the rate they want to pay. On the subject of a regular requesting a discount, I would only suggest that as a one time thing, maybe short up to 20 bucks, it is your call. If he is definitely asking for a discount in exchange for making an appt, and/or continuing to see you, then no way. And they must ask before arrival, not just show up with a lower amount. And they must understand, without exception, that you expect them to make up the difference on their next appt, and/or will not now be paying the lower amount all the time. I
  19. I do different sessions with slightly different rates, and discounters ask can i do the FS half hour for my massage rate, which is lower, and I ask them if that is their budget, they are free to come and see me for the massage session lol. If I am feeling like having a bit of fun I will ask the discount seeker, that since he is into negotiations, what exactly is he planning to 'give up' in order for me to give him a session at that rate? Must be something, because true negotiations don't imply that only one side is giving up something, after all. Then the comments about young, and so on, well I get to respond that I see quite a few younger and good looking guys, and none of them have found it necessary to ask for discounts. Then, there is the standby of why would you assume I am not worth my rate when you haven't even met me? Kind of insulting. I do remember one board member on another site, infamous for lowballing constantly. One day he decides to send pms to me and one other sp. Her massage rate was 140, mine 120. He offers me 100, and her 120, for enquiring about the same day, but tells both of us 'that's all he has". Well, if he has 120 to offer her, then obviously he 'has' the 120 that is my fee, and shouldn't even be asking for a discount, right?
  20. Well said, but 'freedom' in this case is used to excuse theft. If, for example, a newspaper did not have an online version, the only way for you to read it is to buy it. OR, you can steal it, and read it that way. You are free to read the newspaper, how you go about accessing that information is the issue here. The freedom does not include freedom to steal copyright content that has been reproduced without the owners permission. The entertainment industry is not being served by existing laws, and if that is the case, then this is a real problem. If the existing laws were sufficient, this new legislation would not be even introduced. Do you see what I am getting at here? wikipedia here is given as an example only. If they are taking care to check the content posted, then what is the problem? The problem is the sites who do not, and who profit by not doing that. It isn't the same thing at all, and certainly no ire towards wiki or any other responsible site. My objections are the overwhelming belief by the general population using the internet that because they can do something (copy and paste) that no one should be allowed to tell them they cannot steal what they are copying and pasting without consequences. If they stole a book out of a shop, or a dvd out of a store, or a bottle of wine from the bar, all of those things are exactly the same thing. What I find also odd are the examples given by the opponents, which tend to have nothing to do with reality or even the proposed laws themselves. What is the purpose of the reference to the religious nut here, regarding sp ads or sites? That has nothing to do with my ownership of my ad, photos, and site content, and not allowing (and not wanting to allow) some other person, or website, to simply copy and paste it wherever and whenever they want to just 'because' it's the internet and no one can tell them what to do. That kind of lack of responsibility and insistence that illegal things should be allowed for the purpose of freedom is a very immature way of viewing this all. Not saying you are immature, but the majority of objections to it come from a level of immaturity about business, creative works, and copyright on the internet. Most ppl think that stuff on the internet is free, period. Why would any sp object to the kinds of laws that would ensure no one is going to run around and steal their stuff, because finally they will be aware of the consequences of their actions, that there are consequences, because right now I guarantee you the majority of the people hearing about this act have no clue that copyright exists and that copyright owners are protected. In fact, the majority of ppl out there thumb their noses at anyone complaining about seeing their stuff taken, and misused, and not being compensated for them, and in fact, encourage it and let others know how they too can watch movies and tv and copy music without having to pay anyone for it. and seriously, Hitler? Isn't he always brought out when someone has actually lost an internet debate?
  21. Have you considered only going to mps for hjs? It seems that the risk you feel is out there is too high for you to fully relax and enjoy this experience. The alternative is if you find an sp who is not after your sperm, to continue to repeat with her so that you can relax. If the one and only time you actually had a bad experience was 14 years ago, what does that tell you about the real safety of this, vs the perceived risks? These encounters are supposed to be fun and for pleasure, going in with negativity and suspicions cannot possibly help.
  22. Sorry, but if someone reacted with suspicion and paranoia over what I want done with the used condom, they would not be able to come back to visit me. sps get enough assumptions and presumptions about us, that at the very least we expect our visitors to not treat us like criminals and scammers, especially AFTER a session. By that time I would hope that any concerns a new client has about the lady prior to arrival and within the first few minutes would have been reassured. To think that same suspicion would extend past first getting to know you, thru the entire session and up to and including saying goodbye at the door, that is really disheartening.
  23. Speaking for the other side, I have no problem with the new proposed legislation, if these sites want to help work with the creative industry to help protect their copyright protected creations from being stolen, then they can say they've done something. But citing freedoms, while supporting pirates and thieves, I have a problem with that. For an example, almost every day I can see or hear signs from sps who have their ad or website or photos stolen and used by someone else. In addition, the fake ad sites steal their ads and post them, in order to increase content. The sps did not agree to the site terms, and did not agree to allow the site to use their products. Those are examples of internet theft from copyright owners. The proposed legislation would make it much easier for an sp, seeing her property used without her permission, to contact the site admin, and on pain of being shut down, remove it without delay. It will hopefully have the added result of the site's not even doing it in the first place. The excuse to not agree to it is that little 6 year old Suki won't be able to lip synch to Beyonce and get it posted on youtube without youtube getting shut down is lame. The intent is to make sure that artists, photographers, writers, song writers and performers, movie makers, don't see their work being reproduced, copied, and sold without compensation. If you created something, with your own hard work, you would not want to see someone else either take the credit for it, profit from it, or stick it on a site without your knowledge or permission. If wikipedia doesn't take responsibility for stolen content to be posted on their site, then who is it exactly that is supposed to take responsibility for any laws broken, or copyright infringement, or piracy?
