It is kind of polarizing, isn't it? I think you might find, mostly, that sps put something in their ad/site about how they want to be contacted, and they will judge/screen based on the client actually doing that. Shows respect. Show they listen, and understand, that the sp makes the rules, and they can abide by them or they can not see them lol.

Might depend on what sort of sp interests you, or maybe your budget if you have one.

How do you feel about 45 minute option?
fortunateone replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Maybe its just me, but I find this a really offensive statement of people who offer shorter sessions. Sorry, but providing a session that meets the needs of your clients is the goal of any business. No one who provides shorter sessions has spent time making derogatory comments about the people who prefer longer times lol, so I can't figure out why I keep seeing so many comments that seem to agree with this quote. I think you'd be surprised both at how much of a connection can be made in shorter sessions, simply because financially, it leads to a LOT of repetition. -
Sometimes its the longer tease that can make that part inevitable. I break down an r&t into 3 parts, smooth transitions. 1/3 basic neck to ankle massage....1/3 teasing and sensual touch definitely while still laying in that same position, 1/3 slow and drawn out and varied hand work. By varied I mean no jack hammer up and down wacking away like a power tool. There are lots of ways to play around there, lots of directions, one hand, both hands, palms, wrists, fingertips, etc. Its very seductive.

How do you feel about 45 minute option?
fortunateone replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've been offering it for a few years now, for exactly the reasons you mention. It is a total win win, no one feels like a clockwatcher on the 30 minute, and no one feels like being taken advantage of by someone who can't just seem to finish on time in the 30 minute option. It is good for economical reasons as well, for both sides. also, I think it makes far more sense, as far as options go, than a 15 minute session. Also, as an open option to extend, someone is far more likely to go for an extra 15 rather than extra 30, and that would be for both sides again. Even if I am expecting someone, i would still have a window of time where someone opting to change from half hour to 45 is ok. But possibly I might have to turn down a request for extending to an hour to allow me time between appts. -
New Escorts Using Established Escort Names
fortunateone replied to a topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I know what you mean. To me it seems like a lack of imagination, but in other cases it seems a deliberate attempt to deceive. We see a lot more two name names nowadays to help make things less fuzzy. -
I am only half way thru the thread, but if I may just suggest here, that perhaps the voting is more about teaching a lesson to the sps for questioning certain things not just about the nominations but about what the poll was meant to be for. Really something just seems off about this. I think that she became a symbol, yes, but not for those reasons, that's all. It really seemed to be a mean spirited way of sticking it to the long term true contributors. Anyone can post ads and send pretty notes. In fact, anyone can, it doesn't actually have to be the sp herself who does any of that, its all marketing. But to come out and post publically, voice an opinion, rant or rave about something, show a true personality and not just a fawning or soothing one (god forbid something said hurts business kind of mealy mouthed mumblings lol), that is someone worth voting for. That is someone who furthers the policies and personality of what cerb is all about. There are a lot of advertising sites, let the ones who are solely concerned about advertising and marketing themselves shine on those sites, and let this one reward the ones who don't shy away from controversy or silliness. note: as I say, I posted this mid-thread, and since have read a number of postings. Nothing changes my belief that Emily was an unfortunate pawn in a rather unpleasant attempt to make the award potentially meaningless. Further posts simply confirm this, that's all. I think in light of the controversy I would have been really swayed from this had Emily withdrawn herself, rather than come to the point of her being removed. That would have impressed me. I don't blame her for being nominated, with nothing posted and less than 2 months here, no reputation whatsoever. I am not impressed by the long term members who chose to re-interpret the rules of the award to nominate someone who really had nothing to show why she should be nominated and why anyone should be voting for her. That is the point people seem to deliberately want to ignore. How on earth, other than by kind of shady means, does someone with zero history here, get to a place where they have as many votes as a long term respected reputable and valuable CONTRIBUTOR on this site. That that other nominees may have had a few arguments along the way, does that account for the multitude of votes for an unknown nominee? Someone turned this poll into a joke, it wasn't Emily, it wasn't any of the other top 4 contenders. It wasn't Emily who put her name on this list, and it wasn't Emily running around pming other members to let them know about the poll and to come and vote. Makes one wonder, that's all, was there an agenda here? People who knew full well what this kind of poll was for put her there. They knew it was a recogniition of real board contributions, and would obviously be for a long term sp member with a public presence that everyone would have gotten to know. I find that very disappointing that someone would choose this poll for this kind of thing.

Good point. It is quite easy sometimes to prove text is stolen. I can copy a sentence from a known sp's ad, google it and many hits come back for ads from a variety of sites and all refer to that one particular sp. If I take a sentence from someone who does not seem to match up with the way the ad is written, I can easily get a match to the reputable one showing numerous matches, and only one match to the thief. I managed to get myself banned from a review forum for pointing out all the stolen website and ad copy that was being used by a small group of supposed independent advertisers. The advertisers were then shilled with reviews by several fake handles, all of which connected to one guy, as did all the handles for these independent sps. Once you knew they were going to be doing it, I found several matches. The sps advertised were supposedly new, just that week or month. So it is easy to show they stole the text when it matches to an escort in the US or the UK who has been working for several years. In most cases, all it takes is the hint of wrong doing, and the site admin removes the ad. You don't just "flag" an ad, you report directly to the admin, with proof of what you are reporting. Proof includes link to established website, ad history, profiles on sites, who knows what else. There is always something that can be done, and if the admin of an advertising site doesn't respond, then you simply announce it somewhere (even the suggestion above by adding a comment direct to the thief in the ad itself lol).

Ever wonder why...
fortunateone replied to ottawaadventurer's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I see some of the gripes and grumbles on other boards, and quite honestly the gripe and grumble is complaining about the main principle: if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Many of the grumbles have to do with trying to turn it into a review board, where they can gripe and grumble about bad encounters. For some reason, they seem to have never been able to have a good encounter, and are suspicious about all the recommendations. They learned what is a review from review boards that focus on everything bad, and cannot seem to comprehend that anyone could possibly have had a good even great time. And yet it makes one wonder why pursue this activity at all if not to have good even great times? Don't recommendations of sps who are capable of providing that make more sense than a multitude of nasty belittling comments typical of a "review"? -
Plaigerism is unethical and unprofessional. However, in these cases that is not what is happening. This is a copyright issue, and is against the law. As are stealing pics to use in advertisement without owning them. There is no flattery, no grey area, no just letting it go. IT is against international copyright laws to steal copy and pass it off as your own without acknowleding the author. Your ads, the text on your site, even the words I am writing right now are published on the internet, and as soon as that happens, they are protected by copyright laws. It isn't even up for debate, it is what it is. You can easily report the violators to wherever they place their ads, provide the proof, and any wise website admin will remove the text immediately. Otherwise they are participating in allowing a criminal act, altho likely you will only be able to sue them. It is not acceptable that an advertising site, even cerb, would say that that is not a violation of rules. It is a violation of actual laws, and for that reason alone, it is enough reason to remove the text at least. I am rather shocked that reporting these ads did not get results. If this was any other business advertising, it would not be acceptable. There is a restaurant in Vancouver under fire last year because its name includes the word "Olympic". Copyright protection and infringement is not a joke.

Looking for clarification
fortunateone replied to stevecurious's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've never seen a CID in an ad. I have seen CIP in an ad, and defined, that CIP is paired with BBFS offers. The alternative, obviously, is the BBFS with no CIP is apparently safer, and in some cases, less expensive. Additional Comments: I think it is more about humiliation and degradation of a service provider who is obviously desperate enough to agree to this. Maybe she feels intimidated or threatened by someone who shows up and seems aggressively insistent, so agrees out of fear. Maybe she advertises it because the offers (usually higher income) and she is ignorant of the consequences. There are a LOT of people who are clueless and seem to have no interest in finding out about STDs etc. There are also (I am referring to a recent pimp charged in the east) cases of sps who are threatened by pimps who force them to provide bbfs (because it will result in more income). -
Review: Sexual Health Information
fortunateone replied to SamanthaEvans's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Sometimes when you use regular doctors or walk in clinics, they give a low priority based on the "cost" of testing, or if you are someone who wants/needs to be tested more than once a year. You may even not know about them all, or may have to insist on being tested for something, because you can't report having any symptoms, they may not want to do it. etc The STI clinics are great options for that reason. Here is a list of the basic sti testing that is done for each visit at my local one: Syphillis (blood test) Gonorrhea Chlamydia Yeast Bacterial Vaginosis Trichomonas Herpes Hepatitis B HIV Hep C and A Other........ I don't have a problem getting these tests at a minimum on each visit, even tho I've had the Hep B shots and that means it will actually show a positive result for B. I love the STI clinic, even tho its hard to get to (open 3 hours a week/ 2 days only lol) and even tho it took me 4 tries, and a futile visit to the biomed clinic to get someone who could get my blood (ended up with someone who actually took it from my hand. Creepy. lol On topic, one thing I am really persistant about is that everyone needs to be tested BEFORE they do their first session. Just because, you don't know what you've got until you do, you might be passing something along that has no symptoms, you might have an accident one time, get tested for the first time ever, and blame the other person for what you test positive for. When in fact, you had it all the time, and have been exposing other partners to it for years. And indeed, you just exposed it to the person you had the recent accident to. Hard to defend if the you are positive and they are not, yet your belief is it came from them. (this is a scenario that happened in my personal life a while ago. I thought it was interesting when told that I "must" have it since they had it, lol.) -
Well I am glad to know that. For me, my criteria for voting is for those who make real contributions to the board: lounge posting, thoughtful comments, funny stories, passion for this industry, classy, commited, and also very very supportive of those of us involved in providing. It's because I get to "know" them that i want them to know I appreciate what they have done to help make this such a nice place to visit. I am sure that that is what this kind of voting is all about, yes? To acknowledge the real contributions of the ladies, rather than say a popularity contest or just a pretty face? Nice to give thanks to someone who takes the time to share their thoughts, is what I'm getting at here, lol.

MP Bids to Make Buying Sex Illegal in Canada
fortunateone replied to a topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
I am always offended by someone lumping women in with children. I can't see what kind of arrogance it must take to figure they know what's best for grown women, and apply a law or regulation that is designed to protect children. Why isn't someone out there creating regulations and laws to protect men and children, lets say from the evils of cigarettes? They should come up with a law that will blanketly be good for a grown man over 40 as well as a 12 year old. Shouldn't be a problem, after all, its designed for their own good. -
MP Bids to Make Buying Sex Illegal in Canada
fortunateone replied to a topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
I don't think she has a problem with the way the trafficking laws are being applied, since she so readily points out how effective they are with having found 143 victims, and 49 different cases. I mean, she uses that as proof to Lowman as to how much information is out there to support this effort of hers. Of course its ridiculous on the one hand to proclaim that laws are needed then turn around and show how the current ones are perfectly adequate, and being enforced, and getting results. I think it must really aggravate some of these zealots to realize that the hundreds of thousands they want to save don't exist, and that every effort made is only ever going to find a small handful of people. The reality is that new laws are not necessary, enforcing and using the ones there are perfectly fine. And as you say, the lack of effort to protect migrant workers in any field is what is a crime. -
Maybe the lone voice here, but I completely agree with laying charges. I do not think the charges will stick, tho, because the courts will probably agree that it is not in the same league as HIV. The main issue here is that the guy knew he had it, and failed to disclose it. If he did not know he had it, and passed it along, there would be no charges. Just as if someone does not know they have HIV and passes it along it is not at all the same as someone who receives the diagnosis and then deliberately and with forthought chooses not to disclose this information to his partner. This is exactly the same. He was diagnosed and he chose to deliberately proceed without informing his partner. That is the reason for the charges, and the reason they exist. However, there are certain stds, typically ones without cures, that are "reportable". Herpes (genital) is not one of them. One thing laws and applying laws does is send a message. Hopefully, this will send a message that not disclosing health status has consequences. Hopefully it will send a message that not getting tested, before moving forward to unprotected sex, has consequences. HIV cases can lead to murder charges, so there can be a difference, beyond just being charged with assault.

I agree. The "ticket" seems comparable to paying for transit, to me, like a day pass. And they aren't penalized by having to pay a all encompassed monthly fee, just per evening. Safe place to go to means its safe. I wouldn't rule out the free condom dispenser in this area, I imagine there are washroom facilities there for the obvious reason. While I can see your point about segregating into particular areas, I would also have to say from a business perspective, it makes sense to congregate into one or two particular areas. Then the clients know to go to these particular areas, rather than picking some random spot where you don't know for sure there will be any traffic (for the sp) and any sps (for the client perspective. There seems to be a desire to keep regulation and governmental/city controls away from this business, but if it is fully legal, like any other work or business, of course that comes with regulations and policies. Just as hot dog stands and gift shops can't open up whereever and whenever they please, there is still room for running your own business within such regulations.

The Deficient Single Person
fortunateone replied to Daniel17's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Many of my family members are single, and another important person in my life growing up was as well, all thru her life. I have 4 cousins never been married, and no kids, and as far as I can tell 2 of them have had some LTRs but no one brought home for Xmas. My uncle has always been single. Might be gay, who knows, might just be asexual, who knows. He is over 60 now. At some point, people around you, friends, family, the coupled, etc will accept you for what you are, and if that's single now and forever, so be it. After all within 10 or 15 years, all those recently married will no doubt also be single, and regret their coupling and at the very least, within a couple of years of marriage, will be envying all their single friends. Besides, 3 years LTR at your age is about as long term a relationship as can be expected. -

I can't see why you say you are only seeing upstanding sps, yet you clearly don't find any of these upstanding and reputable sps (who have good reputations they would not want damaged) worthy of any kind of trust from you. fwiw, trying to compare not wanting an sp to have your work # with not having hers is faulty. You do have her work #, her work location (which actually has a huge potential danger if you turn out to be a disreputable client). Far and beyond anything you provide to her. It just does not compare, to be used as an excuse, sorry. If you do not wish to provide something fine, but please don't try to also justify it in a way that suggests ALL of the sps you have seen and are currently thinking of seeing cannot be trusted with more than your phone #. If they can be entrusted with your nekkid body, I think they could be trusted to keep all of your other secrets.

1980's AIDS Commercials
fortunateone replied to Megan'sTouch's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I kind of think bring this up this way is cool. I can't count the number of times where I will read on an escort forum that HIV is only for gays and IV drug users, and NO one else is at risk. Those kind of comments come from the ones who either only saw the scare tactics ads (meaning since they weren't an "H" they know they are safe) or the ones who are post 80s and never seemed to get any kind of STD transmission information that had any effect on them whatsoever.. -
I don't have an answer for the question but I do have a suggestion that often eliminates certain frustrations. Altho you made an appt, that was a next day appt. There is nothing wrong with telling the sp you travel a distance and you will be confirming the appt and the appt time before you head to that location. If you don't get thru to her and speak with her when you call that morning, then you will have saved yourself a trip. I have no idea why sps don't use voice mail or something. I assume it has to do with an extra charge for the service and/or to avoid the people who call 25 times leaving messages all the time so that withint 25 minutes, the mail box is full and no one else can leave a message lol. If the sp provides an incall, it is possible she provides it at a hotel, and the sp may find herself without a room at the time. If you confirm ahead, you might have verified that as well. The main thing is that you don't want to waste your time, and traveling without speaking to that person on the day of and within a couple of hours of the time you requested will usually eliminate that issue. If the sp does not normally do this, well then you can mention that it will help her with no shows and no cancel guys as well, freeing up her time for the guys who do show up.

Half hour sessions work really well for both sides, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it is all the person needs/wants as they have things to do and trying to fit it into their day without having a noticeable absence, or due to physical limitations where the longer session really isn't required. My sessions start with sensual massage, so the idea that a half hour might feel rushed is not the case. There is conversation time, foreplay, stimulation, etc, along with the more obvious activities. There is sometimes a misperception (maybe reviews, maybe porn) that intercourse is "supposed" to last a certain amount of time, but the reality is that it really is unlikely to last for much more than 5 minutes the majority of times. The extra time is used in prep, or if someone is expecting msog, etc, but for many half hour afficianados, they don't have the msog as an option anyway, physically speaking. As an sp, I do enjoy these sessions, and one benefit is that yes the client is likely to repeat more often at that lower rate, shorter time. I do have clients who only take up to 15 minutes, tho I do not offer any sort of 15 minute rate. I don't like the idea of them, I don't feel that it benefits the client in any way, it seems to me more of a money grab than someone doing even half hour sounds like someone who wants to spend some time getting to know you, not just getting you off. Having said that, a 15 min session would be appropriate for someone who does a blow-and-go type of service. If they aren't doing massage, not doing full service, etc, and it is strictly bj and on your way, I can't see that needing more time. In some ads, 15 minutes sessions is just code for bj only, I believe. I like the immediacy and spontanaiety also that comes with a half hour option. It is usually a short notice appt, and someone arrives fresh and ready, and off you go, a pleasant and enjoyable lunch break interlude lol.. Also for client and sp, it can be better to start off with a shorter session, see how things go, then on a 2nd visit commit to more time. It can also be good for a 2nd or 3rd visit, when the client or sp doesn't have as much time to spare, since they are already familiar with each other, a shorter session can cut to the chase, so to speak.

My only flag on this is why would you be getting a "lot" of enquiries regarding accepting CCs. It really isn't that common a suggestion or question since almost every potential client knows that CC is not going to be an option (or even a good idea for them to have a charge on their own CC) for this kind of business. It seems like a red flag re: scam to me, and if you are having several enquiries, even more so. One person thinking they might be dealing with an agency because that is common where they are from is one thing, but a variety of folks all in a short period of time would seem pretty fishy. I don't have an idea from your post what the background on this is tho lol.
