  1. music blaring as soon as you enter any website (maybe especially sp sites) = bad bad bad idea. Option to listen to music with an icon to click = great idea. Best example is anyone looking at any youtube link or if it is in a post somewhere, you know that music or sound is going to pop up and can turn down your sound, or up, whatever the circumstances. But it is unexpectedly jarring and probably inappropriate on an escort site lol. Also, I am not sure if sps who use music on their sites have secured the rights to use it there, and should look into the legalities of this before including it on their (commericial) site.
  2. I don't believe Loralee has access to the sp area yet. I think this might be a good opportunity to suggest she save some of her concerns for when she does get behind the scenes, but I think to be honest in this case she is genuinely interested in what motivates the client perspective on a no show rather than just asking sps for ways to prevent/avoid/deal with them.
  3. The Health Nurse was asked a question about fs with condoms and stats regarding stds, and HN replied this way:
  4. I don't understand this part, regarding being paid ahead of time (I am guessing before arrival) or billed afterward (I am assuming if they don't show up, but then if they are paid ahead of time, there would be no need for billing afterwards, and this is confusing lol I think the advice "NEXT!" and only wait 15 minutes is the best. You just need to factor in a no show or last minute cancelation into your daily planning. The best defense is having a zero tolerance for no shows, meaning this guy will no longer be able to book appts with you ever. If you do opt for a second chance approach, you can require he pays for the previous appt plus the new one, or some sort of compensatory amount. The second option is very difficult to do. You can opt for a second chance with no penalties, but set up the appts with a big dose of scepticism. I have found the best defense against no shows is not allowing prebooked appts. All appts need to be confirmed within an hour of the appt time. Failing to confirm means the appt will be canceled by the sp. This means she is free to accept or arrange the next appt, as many of us have another client interested in that same time or willing to take a call if available. In order for this to work, you have to arrange all appts and confirmations by phone. pms, emails, etc, simply do not work, they are too easy to ignore, and too easy to get lost in cyberspace and too easy to not be able to check if they lost access to a computer. 99% always have access to their phone.
  5. This is a good suggestion. Like there is a separate section for news stories, there could be a section for events or announcements or such stuff. I saw a related thread elsewhere, and that is the only reason I even clicked on this thread. Otherwise, based on the title alone, I would not have as it does not interest me. I think that if the title is clear and precise, as this one is, the viewer can easily exercise their option to not look at it. If a separate section or group was created, any similar threads posted in the lounge could be moved, and there you go.
  6. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but any sp on a review board is going to be able to connect your contact info with your handle the minute you post a review. I am assuming it was a bad review, or mentioned something specific that she objected to? On many boards, an sp member may have the ability to have potentially damaging reviews removed. It might be a bad review, or it might be information that should not be posted. But that is not really the point. Your review got removed and you got banned not based on your real identity being linked to your handle, but because (I assume) of the contents, tone or information within the review itself. Or perhaps on what happened afterwards. I can see by the post here that you do not accept the ban and the terms for which you were banned, and the removal of the review otherwise you would not be posting this here. Most blacklists areas for sps are all about safety, the only reason to be concerned about getting on one is if you have done something extremely dangerous, damaging or offensive. And if you did any of this, then why be surprised if you end up on one? I am also often offended by male members implied concerns that these areas are going to be misused by sps, and they will end up on it simply because the sps want to keep good clients for themselves. This is not a joke, it is about personal safety, health and wellbeing and a business for sps.
  7. Actually, this is a luxury item. It is definitely not an essential service, and no one has a "right" to access, so a luxury. (I have seen some posters on other boards who have a POV that they can demand lower rates or threaten boycotts until all sps lower their rates lol ) Just thought I would throw that out there. I think that some people do tend to forget that this is not meant to be "affordable" really. The expectation is that everyone will be paying a rate that is, realistically, high for them, high enough to make them think first before deciding who to see, and to regret the expense if they have a bad time. If it was cheap and affordable, none of that would matter. I buy my sunglasses at the $ store, but I also know that there are a lot of people who either would not be caught dead shopping at the Dollarama or would not be caught dead wearing anything without that designer label.
  8. One post made me think to add a comment. If an sp is coming for the first time and anyone thinks her rates are higher than average, well the proof will be in whether she is "busy enough" based on that. The real test as to whether or not her rates are "too high" is simply does she return? And if so, if she is returning over and over and over again, and her rates remain the same, what does that tell you? She is as busy as she wants/needs to be at those rates, and in spite of the fact that some think it is too high, I imagine there are plenty who do not think that at all.
  9. I too agree with this statement. I think many an SO feels a great deal of relief for not being hounded or pressed to do something they simply do not want to do. It causes hurt feelings on both sides, the women tend to feel as tho the only thing he is interested in is sex, and none of the romance or daily activities or simply spending time with her. When he is not pressing her on this issue, she is more relaxed and he is more relaxed, and this type of tension and arguments is greatly reduced.
  10. Get a jar to put the money you would spend on cigarettes into every time you would buy them. In 3 months, take a long hard look at how much that really is. I had a friend who took herself on a nice vacation every year, solely on the money she saved by not smoking. Here are some things to think about, coming from a non smoker, mind you, but who has had to put up with smokers during sessions. Smokers do not smell fresh and clean. Any non-smoker will tell you this. Male and females tend to over compensate with too much scent, and it oozes out of their skin, gets in their hair, and stubbornly sticks to their hands. It leeches life out of your face and skin, and smokers age faster than non smokers. It is really not sexy. It gets into everything, even tho a smoker is convinced they have cleaned up (febreeze and sprays), in is actually in the bedding, curtains, rugs, and on the walls. The stink of it clings to your clothes, in your closet, and into your towels. It will always be an unpleasant odor for the non-smoker, altho a smoker won't mind, a non-smoker will always mind. I don't follow all the laws closely, but I believe it is now illegal to smoke in public buildings, bars and restaurants, your car while driving, and recently in vancouver, all outdoor public areas like parks and the beach lol. So where can you go? Oh, and it is bad for your health!
  11. For similar reasons stated elsewhere, I would rather someone see an sp than to start or encourage an affair. I do not think it is about the sex (from the women's perspective) but the time, effort, sometimes money, and so on the guy seems willing to spend on the other woman rather than her. With an sp, there is no chance of him being distracted or lured if you will away from the home, family, and his own role in it. But if he pursued a relationship outside the marriage, that is all kinds of trouble. Plus the other woman requires his time, effort and energy far beyond the 30-60 minutes he would spend with an sp. I also think of it in a massage therapy kind of way. Where a woman might go do a spa day, go to a salon, get a manicure, or any other lttle indulgence, men usually don't. This sort of thing (and I do see a fair number of massage/hj only clients, as well as those looking for more) is about the closest a guy has to a "spa day". And as pointed out elsewhere, he comes in with no one judging, no one expecting anything, and (my words) no hoops to jump thru to get to the happy ending. It is very stress free. I think the 80 % figure is very high, possibly too high. I also think that sps who ask about marital status, family matters, or exact work place are VERY unprofessional. Please, if any of you get questions like this, tell them it is inappropriate conversation topics so they stop doing it. Sps who pry like this can give some clients uncomfortable, and that makes it more difficult for all of us. In general, an sps job is to make sure you feel secure that she understands discretion and privacy. Asking such questions is a clear sign she does not.
  12. Yup, this list is more like mine. Add to this is the entire Food channel.
  13. I thinktouring sps tend to be at the higher end of the rate scale. When they are at home, their rates are typically also at the higher end of the scale compared to moderately priced sps. But typically also they are not targeting the moderate client market, but rather the higher end clientele. The higher end clientele can well afford the rates, which is kind of the point. Because it is still a luxury 'purchase', this activity, not an essential service and the sps who do this definitely do not have to price themselves into a high volume rate. All it means is that if you really wanted to see her, you would skip one of your weekly visits elsewhere, and visit her if you wish. That is the compromise some clients, I found, are unwilling to make. Instead they use forums to try to push their lower rate agenda (when not pushing their riskier services agenda that is). :-P (not pointing any fingers here, just a comment based on things I have seen in the past. Typically, the reason rates are not used as a discussion on this forum is that it becomes a hostile topic, and people start to post things in a way that imply, intimidate or threaten an sps business if she does not come down in price (or up in services). I just wondered what prompted this by the OP. Are you providing an agency service for traveling sps from out west, who want to visit the area and have you do the promotions, or are you simply talking about independent visiting sps? And if so, why worry about it? Basically, if the traveling sp rates are higher than the main client base want to pay, that means the local sps will continue to be as busy as usual, and the visiting sps will continue to see the clients who prefer to see them. I think sometimes there is a misconception amongst some clients, who think that the half hour and hour sessions are the norm, so the rate of say max 250 or less would be most agreeable. But for an sp in that 250-300-350 an hour range, their clients also tend to be booking 2-3-4 and more hours at a time. These encounters cannot often be compared $ for $.
  14. That is correct. It is one of the few pointless questions. Any question where the answer is self evidently going to be a positive one is pointless and won't help at all. Common ones are "are you clean", "is it private", and "is that really your picture". Whether true or not, anyone asked these questions says "yes", so that is why I say "pointless" lol.
  15. It is possible to do with actions and words unrelated to saying "time's up". As mentioned, I might ask if they wish to shower, or use the washroom. By actions, after the main event regardless I get a fresh cloth for cleanup, and I/he/we remove the condom with tissues, etc, so it is necessary to get up for that anyway. It is usually the signal for time is at a close. If it is a case of "not done yet" but time is coming to an end, the nicest way to put it is "all good things must come to an end". That works also for the gentleman who is just lying there not getting up even after clean up and offer of a shower, and time is actually up lol. I do a lot of half hours, and I offer a 45 as well as the hour. If someone really needs (and knows they need) more than the half hour, I do not recommend booking a half hour and going over time when the 45 option is available. It kind of makes the client look bad, imo, as I do offer the option. It is not like there are only 2 options, the next one being almost double for the hour, so I would prefer we are both happy and I do not have to nudge (or request) anyone to leave when time is up.
  16. http://healthnurse.wordpress.com/faq-about-sexual-health/sti-risks-chart/ This updates some of the common stds and transmission risks. (I note this because in the previous charts, bbbjs would be listed as medium risk to the giver, and low risk to the receiver, and now both parties are listed as high risk for most of the reported stds) The Health Nurse operates a sub forum on another site, but if you have specific questions on a topic, they are easy to contact and quick to reply and you can reach them thru the above link as well. The Health forum on the other site is filled with questions, some you might funny or obvious, others not, but all are quite serious. It boggles the mind sometimes just what people do NOT know, and can be a real eye opener to read some of the past threads. Pm if you want the name of the other site. (not sure if this is the right section for this topic, but if I put into General, it will get buried sooner)
  17. There are a lot of reputable Toronto agencies with great reviews. Sorry you got burned with this one.
  18. I would have to agree here. Even from the original post it seems that the human trafficing laws that are in place already seem to work well enough. The majority of attempted charges tend to fall apart because no evidence of trafficking actually appears since it mostly doesn't happen. I think what happened mostly in Sweden is that visiting sps from other European countries stopped visiting. These would be your professional sp, but traveling for work always falls under the "trafficking" umbrella. Now, tho, many Swedish sps can no longer work safely in their own homes, and they travel outside of the country instead. Big improvement #1. So, yes the incoming traffick is greatly reduced, but the exporting traffick is increased. The law is designed to be female friendly. The sp will not be charged or fined for her part in the "crime". Big improvement #2. The clients she gets, and where she gets them, puts herself in a great deal more risk and danger, unless she chooses to leave the country for work. I doubt if her attempt will fly; I think most LE does not want the train wreck that is the US approach to prostitution. At least the current laws surrounding prostitution allows them to focus on the real problems.
  19. I watched all the Being Human, which was cool, simply because it is British, and makes the werewolf guy funnier. Lost Girl I caught, I see succubus (bi?) are becoming popular. There is one on The Gates as well! Did you see that The Gates is an alternative universe, not another Desperate Housewives drama btw? Also, Haven, filmed in Chester, Nova Scotia, has some interesting "developments". I think I see all of the odd shows, from Heroes, to whatever else might fall into the What If? category. Stargate Universe (didn't care about any of the other stargates, fwiw) Caprica (even tho I loathe prequels (already knowing how it ends)) Dr Who Persons Unknown Lost Girl Nikita Vampire Diaries Pretty Little Liars Haven The Gates Scoundrels Donde Esta Elisa (my latest telenovela, since El Cartel de los Sapos ended. El cartel was set in Colombia, awesome scenery. This new novela is set in Chile, it will be interesting. it actually received an award in Banff last year) Latest guilty pleasure: Hellcats (cynical law student joins the cheerleading squad ( and this is a US college cheerleading squad, so you know they are dead serious ) I also did not miss The Dollhouse, which seemed to be like Persons Unknown, a limited series? I wish they did more of these, as i lose interest in a show after the 3 year mark. Additional Comments: I am not secretly hooked on BB, I have actually watched it every year since year one. I think, other than Americas Next Top Model (for obvious reasons) it is the only reality show I can stand. Final episode on my PVR waits for me right now!! I think this is the first year where I can say I am happy with the final 2 and will be happy with who ever wins it.
  20. I would have to agree, for this same reason. Some sps make travel part of their availability, but they aren't working en route to get there. I have never once heard any sp I have chatted with mention being or knowing sp flight attendant.
  21. I kind of think that they are defining the sex as intercourse too, and that if they included sexual activity, then the stats would be different. Personally, i offer massage/hj and massage/fs sessions, and find that the non-fs numbers are significant. I would probably vote in a way to reflect the non-fs as "no sex". but I didn't vote, just to keep it clear.
  22. This reminds me also, that some sites will crash someone's computer. Those wix ones or flash etc, I would not be able to get past the front page. my older computer does not support certain things and there is a lovely website I cannot fully view (www.clairemonet.com) It overflows the page and I cannot access certain areas, or fully view all the pages. So that might be a reason also why a client has to ask questions. old technology lol
  23. i am going to guess Air Canada. They managed to lose luggage for my friend on 2 fairly recent trips to toronto, both times going into toronto with no trouble on the way back. Insist they give you a priority sticker for your luggage when you check in for the return trip. (it may not work but since this is the 3rd time, and if it is for a return trip, they might). I have not seen it take less than 2 days for them to "find" the bags. On both trips, tho, he was a late purchase/checkin, so there may be benefits to early checkin.
  24. I think current verification/confirmation directly from the sp herself is the number one reason (assuming he really has read the site -- and really, there is no reason why not, as it is unlikely he will contact someone out of his price range, or even who does not offer the services he is looking for) For one thing, he has contacted or visited enough sps to know that he would be foolish not to have her confirm them now. The sp may (wrongly) feel offended by the idea he is asking about rates and services, but it is a way to make a connection and to reassure such a client that she is genuine. Just part of the biz, as far as I am concerned. If it is too aggravating then just copy the info off the site, and paste into the email. Or create a generic draft in your email with the standard auto reply, lol. For the OP, I can see a pic of you in your avatar. If I want to send you a pm, I have to go right up there and look at you. Don't know why I would also need to ask you what you look like lol.
  25. The biggest problem you have is working on a tourist visa, bottom line. I doubt if any agency can hire you legally. You can work independently, but do not advertise in an American way (usually this means that you won't discuss rates and specific services, or you request a great deal of personal/work info. This won't work in Canada, for the most part, plus it is not necessary. It is legal to discuss rates and services, and preferred by clients to know what the rates include. It is a legal activity, so it is unnecessary for LE to set up stings so you do not need to worry about going to a set up intended to arrest you.) (the exception is in Calgary and Edmonton, because you have to buy an escort license there from the city to work legally -- this will not be possible for a foreigner, no offense lol) Most likely you will go to Vancouver, because you are already on the west coast. Vancouver is very indy friendly, and working with an mp or agency is not necessary for success. You can easily rent your own apt, work out of the apartment, provided you are discrete, the vancouver police dept could care less as long as you are working safely and do not draw attention from the neighbours lol. You should do some research regarding the area (maybe on T E R?, or google escort review sites vancouver), check out reviews, rates, services, details etc for Vancouver (ignore all references to asian micros, no indy is in competition with that style or rate) and then follow up by checking out the local sps sites, and the more local advertising area. Rates for sps are higher in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary, for the most part, compared to other areas of Canada but living expenses are also quite high, but you would be closer to home.
