Two things... 1. Secrets shoppers actual pay for the goods, then get reimbursed by the company that hired them. 2. I remember reading somewhere about clubs in the states that have counting machines in the booths, when you go in and agree to start a button is pushed which states a counter that ticks over ever 3 minutes.
