As someone who just recently toured to a few cities, it is very unnerving when a client arrives at your hotel suite ( now knowing your location ) and makes some excuse eg cop parked down the street, front desk clerk gave him dirty look, housekeeping in hallway etc). It happened to me twice in 2 cities and the excuses were basically non-excuses. My thought is if one is that uncomfortable about going to a hotel (especially an upscale one) then why book in the first place. I am sorry you had to go through this Emily. If there is anyone who is forthcoming and honest about what your requirements are, it's you. For these guys to use such lame excuses for bowing out is just plain cowardly.

Considering you just joined a couple of days ago and only have 2 posts....

Depends on the lady's booking protocol. If she specifies you must have one, she probably won't book you from a blocked number or pay phone or computer generated app. I have a few clients who booked from their home numbers or work numbers (including extension) and upon first meeting then were required to call me from a pay phone close by my house so I knew they were serious. In my experience most clients who tell me they don't have a cell phone either don't want me to see their number for "privacy reasons" which is fair if all they have is a company cell that keeps track of numbers for billing. But if they are not willing to provide a work or home number, I do not proceed with booking. My reasoning is if you have my number and ultimately my location, the least you can do is provide me with a number I can verify. Any reputable lady will not use that information to cause the client grief. I believe it is the absolute minimum in screening one can reasonably expect. There are some provided who book from blocked numbers or pay phones or even email without a number. I suggest you don't try and circumvent a lady's booking protocol if she requires a cell phone as listed in her ad or website. To do so will surely get you shot down.

The 45 minute option is my most popular offering for new clients especially when touring. I think it's for those clients who may not need or can't afford or can't get away for an hour but where 30 minutes is not quite enough time. Those who respond and book tell me they are pleased I offer this. Instead of offering 15 minutes, I prefer to offer early bird half hour specials. It works for me. I find it offensive that some people judge those who do offer 15 minutes or specials, that doing so makes them less than. We all have our reasons for doing what we do. For example I do not visit clients at hotels or residences past 10-11 pm for my own reasons. However, I try and not judge those who work later because there is a market for that. But at this point I say been there, done that and not within my comfort zone. In summary, I'd have to say 45 minute appointments are my good luck charm.

Picking up my car today and paying the $1,500 repair bill. Good thing I recently toured and made some money because the old credit card would be taking pretty big hit.

For what it's worth, I kind of like Mystique. Don't worry about it sounding "real" enough. Most guys know we don't use our real names, that the names we choose are just working names. It's unique and sounds like served you well. Don't worry about dropping the Maria name. Guys will remember you more by the service you provide and your integrity than what your name is (was). :icon_biggrin:

Regular white cotton undies. Not very sexy, at 6 am suits the purpose. Believe it or not, I actually have clients who request I wear these on appointments.

After owning my new, used car for less than a month, the clutch went 3 days after I got it. The dealer apologized profusely took it back and his mechanic put in a new clutch (at their expense). Fast forward to two weeks later, the new clutch blew on my way home from Burlington Ottawa. Thank goodness I did not break down on the 401 or 407. I have been stuck in Oshawa since Friday evening and had to wait until Monday morning for the local transmission shop to open and take a look. I am am facing a $1500 bill because the slave master cylinder is shot and blew out the second "new" clutch. Of course the dealer back in Ottawa is himming and hawwing that we'll have to "talk about" what he's going to do for me. Yeah, well was not prepared to get into an argument on the phone until I can assemble all the documentation etc. before I present him with the bill. At least I will be have it back today and be back on the road home. So not looking forward to dealing with the auto dealer. Merry Christmas to me, ugh! First world problems, but still stings.
