E-mails are just one form of business communication which I use as part of conducting my business and treat them as important. Clients who send rude e-mails are obviously dealt with differently than the polite ones. Also, to the OP, when it comes to e-mails, some ladies are tardy or lazy in responding, ignore or flat out refuse to deal with e-mails, which is unfortunate. I would estimate 30% of my business comes from initial e-mail contact. Like any business, one has to consider how important it for them to be taken seriously. I am not so much interested in the length or writing style, as to the message in the e-mail. I always follow up by telephone, so if there is anything that needs to be clarified, I do it then. Not everyone is as adept with the pen as others.

The movie Burlesque has I believed, rekindled an interest in this wonderful art form. I was speaking with a friend of mine who is now in her 60s who told me when she used to what was called a "strip tease" and that it was classy, sassy and real entertainment. She said she spent a fortune on costumes and weeks perfecting her routines, but it was worth it. It was burlesque. It would be great to see some live Burlesque without having to break the bank to fly to Las Vegas or somewhere similar. Anyone know where to catch modern-day burlesque show (here in Ottawa, would be great).

For Those Born Between 1925-1970

How about... cap guns marbles Barbies and GI Joe Snakes and Ladders A cocla-cola and a bag of chips, Vachon cake or chocolate bar was a once a week "treat", not part of a regular diet Skates with laces Brownies and Cubs, Girl Guides and Boy Scouts Drive-in movie theatres Going to the beach without sunscreen When it was Kentucky Fried Chicken, not KFC When the waitress at A&W wore roller skates and served you at your car When Swiss Chalet actually used wood burning ovens When Harvey's actually had charbroilers When we only had to worry about "taking the pill" because anything else could be dealt with, with a shot of penicillan When people dressed up to go to parties or Church When we could walk to school on our own or go trick-or-treating at Halloween without an adult When we drove at 100 miles per hour Ah the good old daze.... -
I am so glad you decided to have a blog while you are away. Six weeks of Cleo withdrawal might be too much for some to handle. I am living vicariously through you at the moment. Glad those sharks didn't chow down on this pussy cat!!! Send some of that sunshine our way!!!

Meg, she only has two days to "leave" - you better get on that transaction - after all she is originally from Ottawa...wink wink. I received the same thing. Additional Comments: I received almost identical e-mail during the Haiti crisis.

If you had heard Mr. Macklem's victim impact statement, you would have wept. Because he is emotionally and financially ruined, he indicated that he has resigned himself to the fact that that will never happen for him. This man did nothing to deserve this. Those people took advantage of his disability and vulnerability to rob him blind so they could live the good life. Unfortunately Ms. Johnson made the mistake of coming back to Canada. Her ex-husband is sitting pretty down in Jamaica with all the proceeds of crime. If I could ask her one thing, it would be, "was it worth it"?

Not to be a downer, if it's the venue I am think you are referring to where we had our last cerb valentine mixer social, I would not recommend it. This is because some of members who were at that social would be at your poly social and we were told we were not welcome back there because of some inappropriate behaviour by other certain members. I can't speak for others, but I would not want the manager recognizing me and seeing me with a group and...fill in the blanks. If you have it somewhere else, I would love to attend and learn more about the poly group.

Back to the topic of the thread, please. Did anyone catch APTN's interview with Bruce Carson which aired on the APTN network, last night at 6:00 p.m. When the investigative journalists blindsided him with certain critical information regarding his fiance Michelle McPherson you could see he was struggling to stay composed. It is not pleasant to see someone's life come crashing down around them. I hope that we won't be reading anymore of those "poor Leanna" threads anymore. The parallels between this and the Darquise Johnson/Doug Macklem story are becoming more evident every time this story is updated.

I was born in 1960 and I thought being a teenager in the 70s was awesome! -

OMG - what a visual I just got! -
I believe that the reason why so many men come to see me is because they aren't getting it at home, so that is good for me. Seriously though, I think Meg and FortunateOne said pretty much what I would have said.

Have you ever wondered why: If it's "common sense", why more people wouldn't know it? There seems to be less tissue on toilet rolls these days. They changed the Crispy Crunch chocolate bar recipe. We had to eat everything on our plate because kids were starving overseas. You never seem to be able to find a pen when you need it - like where do they go. Boys don't just sit down to pee like girls. -
Nicolette Vaughn, aka Naughty Nicki is one hot squirter. I know this because we share an in-call and my experience with it has been this: As the hostess, I had to provide a a quilted mattress with a leakproof underside to it...wink wink... I am waiting for our next (non-interactive) duo to see more! I get wet, but I can't squirt or gush like this girl! I am hoping she will chime in when she reads this.

Hardwood floor refinishing.
Andee replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I agree with Antlerman. Dynasty flooring for example, did an excellent job with installing flooring and carpeting in my townhome. They deal with good contractors, because they want to maintain their reputation. -
November: I have heard of other community health centres like Sandy Hill, Centretown, and Carlington doing the same thing. Which is why it's probably best to go to the main City of Ottawa clinic on Clarence. It has something to do with them just serving the people who live in that area. Maybe it has something to with wanting to be able to keep the spots open for their own residents or it's a tax-allocation thing. Who knows? I have done anonymous testing through the City of Ottawa mobile van, but a lot of people don't like doing it that way for fear that someone might see them get into the van and think they are there for needles. My family doctor is SP-friendly, so I don't have a problem seeing him. Good luck in finding out November. I'd like to know the bottom line as well.
