Back in late 80's, my ex and I welcomed a friend of a friend from Australia who was touring across Canada by backpack. We had to keep telling him to "slow down" when he spoke because we couldn't understand a friggin thing he said. He was a couchsurfer, but there was no Internet then. It was like a chain. You get a hold of someone to stay with and then they ask someone they know who asks someone they know. It worked well for him.

for the gents: The Official Duos Thread
Andee replied to Annessa's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Chanel: It was more like non-interactive with a splash of interactive. Luckily we had a very grateful and accommodating client, which I believed helped. A reminder to all gents that I :boobies:am available next week with Fine Wine Diva  (from Toronto) here in Ottawa (Tues-Thu) Sept. 14-16th. -

What's your municipal identity
Andee replied to Cara Silver's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I was born in Montreal, lived my whole childhood in different provinces on various military bases, then as an adult lived in many cities. I suppose since Ottawa is my the longest place I've ever lived, I am an Ottawan. But the Canadiens are still my hockey team! -

The shower thing - you are so right - the "I took a shower this morning" was pulled me on at 11 o'clock at night once and he had been drinking and smoking and Lord knows what else all day. NAILS - the reason why I took digits OFF my menu. I got so sick of this. I even got a low grade fungal infection down there once from what the doctor described as being from "dirty hands" and the guy did use the washroom to freshen up. I can so relate, Tiffany!

Are you what you thought you'd be?
Andee replied to Cara Silver's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Why do I have visions of you making out with Gillian Anderson (Scully)? Back to the thread... I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I thought maybe a teacher, lawyer, but I didn't have the discipline to stay in school when I was younger and then life just kind of happened and now I figure I'm past trying to be a mainstream professional. So I became a non-mainstream professional - ha! I want to be able to keep learning - but about the things I want to learn, not a means to end (Jobs-wise), and continue to escort and work part-time doing some kind of interesting job where I can use my coordinating and multi-tasking skills to be the best I can be. -
Someone just asked the same questions the other day and my answer is the same - Carrie Moon. She is in her 40s and very hot!

I like the old muscle cars from the sixities and seventies. Not a classy or elegant as Flyer's German picks, but definitely a notch up from Old Dog's Pacer (or was it a Gremlin)? My favourite - 1968 Mustang Fastback. -

How to become a driver?
Andee replied to New Driver's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Not to be harsh, but your first post on CERB is asking about being a driver? It's a valid question, but please forgive me for asking the question, but it appears that you signed up solely to ask about getting into the business. This community is about bringing hobbyiests and SPs together in one place. There is nowhere on CERB you would be allowed to advertise your driving services. If you are here as a hobbyiest, you will be fine. There are some great folks on here. But since you are enquiring, I will start off by saying if you're looking for a quick, make cash venture, being a driver is probably NOT the way to go. I can assure you, that with the popularity of in-calls over the years, the need for "drivers" has gone down substantially. I know this because I started in the mid-90s and in the "old days" I could do at least 2 out-calls a night. Now I am lucky if I get 2 out-calls a month. That's just me, but I am also going by the feedback I hear from the drivers at the driving service I use. I have been using the same driving service for over 6 years, and some of the guys have had to go to other jobs, because the business just isn't there like it used to be (unless they want to drive drug dealers around, which they refuse to do). Because they rotate who drives who, they are doing their best to not break any laws, but remember, if LE really want to get you, THEY will. The driving service I use is strictly word-of-mouth referral and they have had a drop in SP customers. They even drive for an agency, who have seen a decline in business and for the first time are offering half hour out-calls which they never did before. Even with that, their business is suffering too because many agencies now offer in-calls. Also, there are other independent drivers out there who cut into the market, but these guys rarely last long. I can't tell you the number of unsolicited e-mails I have received from guys wanting to drive me. No SP worth her salt would ask someone she does not know to drive her. I'd rather spend the extra $ and take a taxi if I can't wait for the other guys. Being a solo driver, puts you at higher risk of being targetted for breaking the law as the MOD has pointed out. And also if advertise openly, you could also get set up by by-law for operating an illegal taxi and those fines are really heavy and could affect your insurance. I would say, unless you already have clientele, it's not worth it! You'll be done before you even begin. I'm not trying to discourage you, but really the best thing I would suggest is to contact some of the agencies and see if they are looking. Good luck and welcome to CERB. -
It looks like she's back in Ottawa now because she's advertising in-calls in the east end on CL.

Northern Pikes - She ain't pretty, she just looks that way.

So does that mean your cup overflow-ith? Cheers to MOD! Bottoms up!
