I don't really like the word "donation" because to me it's not - it's payment for my time (work). But if it turns out true that by calling it or considering a donation is the same as a gift and it's tax-exempt, I think I'll be changing the wording in my ads very soon. Unless you want to live "off the grid", there's no way around not paying taxes. CRA doesn't care how you make your money as long as you claim it, so there is no shame in calling this "work" and declaring yourself self-employed consultant or whatever you want to call yourself. Some of us choose to claim all, some, or none, just like other folks who are self-employed.

Everyone has their preferences. I always say that a 49 year old man who would want to see an 18 year old, would probably never book me and vice-versa. Lucky for you there are Sps of all ages, so no need to fret - plenty of ladies to choose from.

Some of my best clients have come from CL. Most of them did not know bout CERB. Some have become members, and although they don't participate with posting, they do see ladies. Other ones are just content to the ads as guests. These are nice, decent clients. Not all are bad. Just as not all CERB clients have turned out to be good. But MOD is right, because it is moderated, we hopefully have a better community here. I'm not so naive as to think CL is not without problems. I believe you need to know how to work something to your advantage, not detriment. I just want to say that FOR ME I have found personally that the best clients seem to frequent CL during the daytime hours. It's at night, that I tend to get the jerks and timewasters and wassup guys. But that's me! For those people who bitch about CL, look at what time you're posting or responding to ads. If you post at 11:00 p.m. or are looking ad ads at 1:00 a.m., sorry but you're kind of open game for the "they only come out at night" types. Which is why when I am done for the day, I remove my ad. The number of jerks, timewasters and no-shows has gone down tremendously. Also, I also ask clients where they saw my ad. If they book an appointment with me from CL, I always mention CERB after I meet them. So I am doing my share to promote the board whenever I can. The MOD got me thinking. Since I am going to be available more in the fall, I am definitely going to put an ad back on escorts-canada. It's the least some of us can do to support this wonderful place we call CERB. I would encourage other ladies to at least give it a try.

The only reason why drug addicts turn to prostitution is, except for stealing, it's the easiest and fastest way to get money for drugs. Period. They have no regard for keeping the profession classy because they don't have any regard for anything except getting that next fix. So for those who question why they don't just play it safe and go legit like the rest of us is trying to figure out why someone would choose hamburger when they can have steak. To me, street level prostitution is just a means to an often very dangerous and tragic end. There's an old saying, it's easier to censor someone than pity them, especially when you've never walked a mile in their shoes. It's a very real social problem that most people would prefer not to think about or pretend doesn't exist. Unfortunately it's when tragedy like this occurs that we are reminded that there are some very lost souls out there who desperately need help. Whether they ask for it or accept it is another discussion.

Well said, Seymour - it's a bit tricky, but it is possible to actually get a POV picture that's worth a thousand words without actually showing the lady's face in its entirety. I have practiced with different angles and there is one that works for me and if shot right I am perfectly comfortable with being circulated. But, to this date, I believe the ones I agreed to have either been deleted or are in some private album or perhaps some website across the continent. Who knows. I'm not really worried about. But yes, you're right respect those who may and those who don't. (This is not to say I would agree to do this with just anyone - it all goes with respect and manners).

Also, bear in mind the word "busy" doesn't mean the same to everyone. le. A busy day for one, might be 2 clients a day, for another, less than 5 is not busy enough. I do believe positive attitude does account for a big part of it, but there are always mitigating factors that we have no control over, and has been suggested, we need to plan for those times and be grateful whether we are busy are not because those times will come when we will reap the benefits and possibly like Megan suggested, even have to turn down business.

As a "classic rocker", some of my friends are amazed that I am actually going down to Super-Ex with some girlfriends to see Abbamania tomorrow nite (with Bee Gees and Tina Turner tribute band in tow). So, yes I admit when I was rocking to Peter Frampton and Black Sabbath and Kiss, I also snuck the odd listen to those "other" bands. Here's one of my favourites:

Chanel: The MOD is right, summer months are traditionally slower due to family vacations, etc. as indicated above. It's got nothing to do with you personally. There is no science for predicting when you'll be busy, but you can probably be rest assured that after Labour Day, you will see things start to pick up if you continue to advertise your availability. If you're not available every day, it's important to still maintain an on-board presence by advertising your services for when you are available. Having a week-ahead schedule helps. I find that advertising for same day or even next day appointments don't always yield the best results. Like Cleo suggested, when you're new, you will get more calls in the beginning. After that, you have to work at it a little bit more creatively to attract clients and that also includes advertising in more than one place. That is something you might want to discuss with other SPs off-line. From what I know of you, you are smart and savvy and you'll find your own groove. Just hang in there.

Naomi: I haven't had a huge demand for POV cum shots. I believe I've made a grand total of $100 over the past few years (5 at $20 a pop). Erin: Just love the way you are soooo comfortable with your sexuality. Let all hang out, baby!!!
