For my dad's last birthday, I gave him socks designed for diabetics (non-binding) because he had problems with his foot being swollen. Although he had tons of socks (which were to tight) and can well afford to buy the diabetic ones himself, the jesture of going out and getting them for him was very appreciated. I also got him a coupon for a carwash.

I have been told I don't look my age, so I have no issue with letting people know I am over 50. That way I can enjoy the compliments. I am fortunate though. I never smoked, went in the Sun or had kids, so my skin tone is still good which is why I have bragging rights to perky breasts. I also believe I won the genetic lottery. My mom was half Irish and French and she always looked younger than her age until she got sick in her 70s. But appearance is not everything. Like Nicki says, it's all in your attitude and outlook on life. Sometimes I wake up and say to myself "Wow, just seems like yesterday it was the summer of 1978"? Seriously though, it is just a number. Enjoy today, because really that's all we have!

I, like many seasoned SPs I know have have mentored more than few ladies in our day. For myself, I can think of maybe only 3 (two from ground zero, and one other who came out retirement after a few years when the industry had changed) who were truly appreciative of my efforts and showed their gratitude in different ways and are now paying it forward themselves. Today I am more inclined to refer newbies who ask me, to resources for tips/safety measures etc. This may sound harsh, but it makes no sense for me to help someone else make money when most of us are just getting by in the present economy. (I don't know of any other industry where one would expect a professional to do that for free). As for the OPs friend, I for one, would not be interested in mentoring a girl who has already started off on the wrong foot. The fact that she is hustling in bars, disturbs me. There is enough knowledge on the internet for her to know better. If she truly is that naive, then she really needs to get on with a reputable agency. And she needs to be agreeable to following their protocol. I really do hope the OP encourages her in that direction instead of trying to get ladies on cerb to take that on. Opening a cerb account is not going to do anything for her if she has no idea what she is doing. She could in fact make things worse for herself.

If her English writing is not good, she can pay someone to edit her ads before she posts. There are SPs right here in Ottawa who are skilled at writing and have excellent English writing and grammar skills who do this for other SPs for a nominal fee. Also, once she joins the community, she she will have a plethora of information available at her fingertips that was not available when I first started out before the Internet age. What she is doing is totally illegal and and tacky as well. Not to offend you, but it's great you are concerned about her safety, but really you have no "business" trying to get involved in her "business". This is where she has to learn it herself and fly on her own, even if it means making mistakes. She has to earn her stripes just like every other lady. The best advice you could give her is to suggest she go work for a reputable agency. Let someone else handle her advertising and bookings. She will pay a percentage, but it will be worth it in the long run, rather than the way she is going about it now. I'm going to play my mature card and say this is coming from someone who has been in the business (mostly part-time, but nonetheless) since 1995 and I started with an agency. Even when I went indy, there were no escort boards. We made it up as we went along. The girls now days have it so much easier than us. In my humble opinion, working with a reputable agency is the best way to start.

Wherever did you get the impression that it's supposed to be all about the client? You can still provide top notch service to your client while still enjoying yourself. In fact you will find many men who love to please their partner and it turns them on when you are turned on. You have absolutely NOTHING to feel bad about.

Just to clarify, we can't get Satellite, because our condo is in the stone age and doesn't allow dishes.

So I ditched the cable for the summer months and was watching video reruns on the Internet, but with winter coming and new shows on was thinking of hooking it up again. Not entirely happy with Rogers as a Internet provider (have high speed that isn't that great). Home phone is okay but sometimes when I call a Bell subscriber, I get a recording that the number is not in service and vice versa (when a Bell subscriber tries to call me). Pain in the ass because I have a friend who I can only call from my cell phone because of this glitch with my home phone. So the roommate say, why don't we look into switching to Bell. I remember switching from Bell to Rogers a few years back because we weren't happy with Bell, but some say they've improved their Internet/TV packages. Any feedback would be appreciated before we make a big mistake. As for the home phone, I am going to suggest we ditch it because we both have cells, but they want to keep it.

When ladies don't advertise or answer their phone or return pms/emails or whatever, it's because they aren't available (for whatever reason). I can understand the OP's concern, but to speculate with comments like these is totally unnecessary and is akin to "stirring the pot".
