Becoming aware of the fact that I have had no incoming texts for over a day now. Had Chatr reset my connection and then voila - 32 texts in my inbox. Missed out on a couple of potential appointments today Sucks the big banane.

If you have the option of phone/text/email, that's fine, but some ladies insist on on-line booking form only as the method of initial contact and if you don't follow that protocol, chances are you probably won't get an appointment.

Of course they're going to say that. Fear mongering sells papers. And yes, it's always wise to be careful whether you're seeing an SP or someone in your personal life. In my humble opinion, you are at higher risk of contracting something from someone you pick up in a bar than from a reputable SP. I say this because I have heard of more "civilian" acquaintances who have contracted STDs over the past few years because they neglected to practice safe sex than SPs I know who get tested on a regular basis. My conclusions may not necessarily be scientific but they are true.

Actually the Concorde Motel on Montreal Road has cement walls, but it reeks of cigarette smoke and the guy in the office has a clear view of everyone coming and going. Even though the neighbourhood has cleaned up quite a bit over the past few years, it's still considered a sketchy area. Not sure about bed bugs. Wouldn't want to TOFFT.

One thing that has not been mentioned is just because some dude tells me he's so and so on this or any other board, does not necessarily make it true. I have had guys email or call me saying, "I'm so and so from cerb, blah, blah". If my gut feeling is off, I will ask them to pm me, and if they make some excuse or don't, then I have my answer. I think this thread is going off the rails. I don't know if I am more concerned about the SP who was being called out, or the SP who is calling her out (business suicide).

The Welcomm Inn on Michael Street offers a day rate (you need to call them) http://www.welcominns.com/ I would caution you about getting a cheap motel on Montreal Road (e.g. Ottawa Inn) or Greber Blvd. (e.g. Ritz Motel) in Gatineau as most reputable Sps would probably not visit you.

A reminder that tickets are now on sale (Gents only, ladies are free) for the Fall Social being held on Thursday, Sept. 13th. You must p.m. me here on cerb and I will give you all the details. Payment can be made by email money transfer, postal money order or in person (cash). The cost will be $40 and his is to cover drinks for the ladies, appetizers, door prizes and other expenses associated with organizing these events. There is be no cost to the ladies to attend, however due to the popularity of past events and the fact there are some ladies we had to turn away because we were full, if you are such a lady, you will be given first priority this time. I kept a list from last time. And to those ladies, who said you wanted to attend and then did not even extend us the courtesy of letting us know beforehand (or even afterwards) that you couldn't attend, please do not embarass yourself by asking to come this time. We have more people wanting to attend, than spots available and you had your chance, sorry.:confused0024: I do not wish to make this a sore point or create any controversy - it's just something that had to be said. Reminder: Since this is being organized by CERB members for other CERB members, please do not bother the MOD about this event. It is being held a centrally located venue in Ottawa. It will be in a reserved room of a public bar/restaurant. It will run from approximately 6:30 p.m. until closing time. There will be a variety of music played and dancing will be encouraged. There is a limit of 50 spots available (ideally 25 gents/25 ladies), on a first-come, first-served basis to those members in good standing who have some presence on the board or in the hobby (if you have a low post count, but good rep, that's all we care about). Remember: This is a meet and greet social event in a public venue (no hanky panky :smile:) and as with past events, expect all attendees to behave accordingly.
