The following link documents an unscientific experiment that demonstrates how attractive girls get things for free. I wonder if this extends to the world of hobbying. For example, do clients generally tip DDG SPs more and buy them more expensive gifts, irrespective of the level of service they provide, and are clients more likely to forgive a DDG SP who is late or cheats them out of the full hour, or commits other transgressions. than they would in the case of an SP who was only a 7-8 rather than a 10 in looks?

Now I am really getting myself into trouble.....

Married. Actually, I think the breakdown on hobbyists is probably close to: 80% Married 20% Single, Divorced or Separated Also, this is the ideal type of question for an anonymous poll. You might have gotten a lot more response if you had added a poll to the thread. And it would be interesting to see how close the results come to the numbers listed above. Finally, I think the more interesting question to ask is why married guys become hobbyists: - I love my wife and children, but there is something missing in my life - I am in a sexless marriage - I hate my wife, but she will take me to the cleaners if we get a divorce - I still love my wife but I no longer find her sexually attractive - My wife is too conservative, and our sex life is totally boring - etc. -
Speaking of "SP school", there was mention on Twitter of a website referring to "Whore College" (http://www.whorecollege.org) which consists of a series of workshops for sexworkers, taking place during the upcoming San Francisco Sex Worker Film and Arts Festival, May 20-29, 2011 (http://www.sexworkerfest.com) The workshop schedule is not out yet, but according to the info on Twitter, one of the workshops is entitled "Creating mutually rewarding sexworker-client relationships".

I recently had my third massage session with Little Nadia. This time I booked her for a 90-minute session so that we could have more time together. This was my first ever massage session which exceeded an hour. Appointments with Nadia are arranged via email. Once the appointment date and time are set, if you are a new client she emails you the address of Maison Massage and her cell number. When you arrive in the lobby you call her cell and she buzzes you in. Nadia greeted me at the door wearing a sexy black bikini. We hugged and greeted each other. She then led me to the room. Since I am a regular she knows that I like to start off the session by undressing each other and then showering together. To be able to undress Little Nadia, have her undress me and to enjoy taking a shower together is such a wonderful way to start a massage session! Once we had dried each other, she led me to the massage table and began her renowned massage. She begins her massage by immediately climbing onto my back. I remember that in my first session with Nadia, this was the first hint that her massage sessions are something unique and special. Having Little Nadia on top of you moving her perfect little nude body around on you while she gives you a sensual erotic massage is a truly unique and completely enjoyable experience. Being able to watch her in the mirror on the side of the room added to eroticism of the experience. Because I had booked a longer session it allowed more time for a more thorough massage. Leading up to the flip Nadia began to tease me a bit more and when she finally asked me to turn over I was quite ready;) After the flip things started really getting intense. She began sliding her body over mine as I caressed her. Soon she moved into position for the finish. She was so hot, moaning and maintaining great eye contact, and it all culminated in a fantastic finish! The experience with Little Nadia after the flip is out of this world! I read one review where she was described as a "PSE masseuse". I think that the term is very apropos, but keeping in mind that she always respects her limits which are well explained on her website and which are non-negotiable. She remained lying on top of me while I recovered from the fantastic finish. Since there was still time left in the session, and because she felt comfortable enough with me, Nadia asked if I would like to massage her, and I gladly obliged. This was my first time doing a reverse massage and I quite enjoyed it. Because of the time I spent massaging her, there was not enough time left for us to shower together. Therefore, at the end of the session I took a quick shower, and we said our goodbyes until next time. Summary: In summary, my session with Little Nadia was totally wonderful! Looks: Little Nadia is a petite, gorgeous girl-next-door type, with a perfect little body, beautiful breasts and a sensual erotic quality about her that makes for a unique and wonderful combination. She is petite perfection! Attitude: Little Nadia is so sweet, easy going, friendly and she makes you feel so comfortable being with her. She is a real pleasure to talk to and to spend time with. Service: Little Nadia has great sexual energy and she provides a totally sensual and erotic experience from the moment she climbs onto you at the beginning of the session until the sweet and satisfying finish. Repeat? - Obviously Yesss!

Actually, according to the Urban Dictionary, both are correct. (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=digits) -
My experience hobbying has been almost entirely visting massage salons and indy MAs. I have seen just one outcall SP, which was quite awhile ago. Based on this experience, there seems to me to be a world of difference in the logistics of an incall massage session versus an appointment with an outcall SP. For a massage session, after reading the reviews and making your selection, you simply check the salon or indy's online schedule, email or phone for an appointment, and you're all set. However, seeing an outcall SP seems to be a lot more complicated. You have to first get a hobby cell phone, make the appointment with the SP or agency, find a hotel that does not require ID, and which is within the area the SP will travel to without requiring a travel premium, check the SP's website for her preferred refreshments and gift suggestions ("Gifts are never required but always appreciated"), buy the gift, refreshments and mood music CDs, book the hotel 45 minutes before the appointment to allow time to shower and prepare the room (bring extra cash in case the hotel requires a cash deposit if you don't want to show your credit card), call the SP with the room number, prepare the room - bathroom, music, refreshments, envelope and lights, wait for the SP's call announcing that she is just around the corner or stuck in traffic, and be prepared to extend the room by another hour depending on how late she will be, and finally, be prepared for surprises - the hotel is fully booked, there is a problem with the room, the SP cancels after you have paid for the room, etc. I was acutely aware of the logistical complexity of arranging an outcall SP session and planned accordinglly for my first outcall SP session. However, this did not prevent my first and only SP outcall experience, so far, from turning into a total logistical disaster. After doing my research and selecting an SP, I wanted to book in advance, so one Thursday I emailed the SP I had selected, in order to make preliminary enquiries, explaining that the best day and time for an appointment for me was on a Friday at 7 PM. She emailed me back that evening indicating that she was available at 7 PM the next day. She provided her contact info and asked me the name of the hotel and indicated that I should call her once I arrived to give her the room number. I was not actually available the next day, and had in mind the Friday of the coming week. So I emailed her back, explaining this. However, because of the affirmative tone of her original email, it felt to me like I was effectively cancelling our first appointment. Anyways, she was out of town the next week, so we set an appointment date in two weeks. Several days before our appointment I came down with a cold and had to cancel. I apologized in my email. This was now my second cancellation. We set another appointment for two weeks from then. When the time for the appointment arrived, I was about to leave work when I was asked to work late because of a problem at work. Normally, I would have stayed and worked overtime, and postponed the appointment, but I felt that if I cancelled for the third time I might have been blacklisted by her. I therefore told work I had an important engagement and couldn't stay. They then had to call in my colleague. who was actually on call that week, but had already left for the day. On my way to the appointment this really played on my mind. It just seemed wrong for someone else to have to come in to work on a Friday night, even though it was actually his turn to be on call, just so that I could go see an escort! I arrived at the hotel with all of this on my mind. When checking in, the desk clerk at first refuses to check me in unless I show him ID. He had me worried for awhile, but finally he agrees to check me in after I give him a license plate number that I made up. Once in the room I call the SP to give her the room number and I start getting ready. I put on one of the mood music CDs I had brought along, but the CD player doesn't want to play. So I call the front desk and they send someone to have a look. He checks out the player and then tells me that it is broken and he offers me another room. At this point I'm thinking to myself that this is really getting ridiculous! Is this bad Karma or what? It seems to be taking quite a while for them to find me another room and we are getting close to the time for the appointment. I can't call her with the new room number because thay haven't given me the number yet. At this point I start imagining all kinds of disastrous scenarios with her arriving right in the middle of the room switch. So I call the front desk and tell them that I will keep the room and will forgo the music, all the while hoping that there is not a mix-up in communication, and that we end up having someone knocking on the door in the middle of our session. At this point I am pretty well freaked out! It is my first time with an SP, which is stressful enough to begin with, but after all what had happened I was totally stressed out. I am a very reserved person, and I become even more reserved when under stress. At this point I had pretty well shut down! In fact, the session itself seems somewhat of a blur. I forgot to serve her drinks at the beginning of the appointment. I had a SSOG on the first service. Afterwards, she offered to give me a massage (she must have sensed my stress), and much of the session was spent with her massaging me. After this disaster, I had planned to set up another outcall appointment, to get back up on the horse, as they say. But I have never done so, and probably have developed somewhat of an aversion to outcall appointments. Also, the fact that some of the MAs I see provide very liberal services means there is less of an incentive for me to have to consider seeing outcall SPs. However, I recently found out that one one my ATF MAs is now an outcall SP, and this has gotten me thinking about outcall SP appointments once again. Therefore, my question to veteran outcall hobbyists is: Are outcall SP sessions generally more prone to potential problems just because of their greater logistical complexity, or was I just extremely unlucky during my first outcall experience?

References & "Our Feelings"
RobX replied to EmilyRushton's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I would like to provide another perspective on this issue. If you think about it, outside the world of escorts and MAs, it is only natural to feel that your regular "service" provider might be upset if you suddenly switched to someone else. For example, if you showed up at the hair salon, and told the girl that always cuts your hair that today you wanted to try someone new, I don't think she would be too happy. The same might apply to boutiques you visit regularly and are always served by the same person. If you then ask to be served by someone else, isn't it only human for the person who normally serves you to feel rejection of some sort? Isn't it then only natural for clients to believe that SPs and MAs may have the same reaction - escorts and masseuses are human too! If you ask for a presentation line-up at a massage salon, and your regular MA is in the line-up, and you don't choose her, isn't it only human for her to feel some sort of rejection? It has nothing to do with emotional attachment, but it is still rejection of her professional services from someone whom she used to think of as a very satisfied customer. I myself recently had a massage session with a new masseuse at the same salon where my regular MA works. The most convenient time for me would have coincided with the end of my regular MA's shift, but I made the appointment with the new MA for an hour later, simply because I thought it might be too awkward if I met my regular MA on her way out, precisely for the reasons I have just mentioned. The bottom line is that maybe people are being a bit unfair to the client that is the subject of this thread. Isn"t only natural and human for a client to believe that his regular SP would prefer that he see her rather than other SPs? -
On the surface it would seem that feminism and sex work are totally incompatible. However. it may not be that simple. I have read that some feminists support sex worker rights, and that some sex workers are admitted feminists. Most guys probably despise feminists and rate feminists as being lower on the social scale than sex workers. However, I would be interested in knowing how the ladies view feminism. Is feminism still relevant today or is it an oudated concept from the 70s? Does the subject of feminism ever come up in conversation with your female friends? Is feminism a bad word to you? Do you consider feminists to be your enemy? Or do you support the feminist cause and wish that feminists would be more accepting of sex workers? What is your take on feminism?

The Toronto Star reports that some Bloc Quebecois members are now endorsing the NDP: "Two Bloc members endorse NDP" http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/982823--two-bloc-members-endorse-ndp Also, CTV News is now reporting that the Toronto Star itself, a long time supporter of the Liberal Party, will officially announce their endorsement of the NDP in their Saturday edition. -

I think that discussing the Federal election here is very relevant because, unlike other vehicles, here we can openly discuss the election in the context of sex worker issues. Elsewhere if you mention that one of the reasons that you don't support the Conservatives is because their policies are the most hostile towards sex workers, you're liable to raise some eyebrows. -

You make a very valid point. Here is one the websites providing voting projections on a riding-by-riding basis: Project Democracy - Ridings by province http://www.projectdemocracy.ca/canada-riding-lookup/province -
I suggest that the most commonly used abbreviation for erotic masseuse be added to the abbreviation list in the FAQ. Unlike the case of SP, there are multiple abbreviations for an erotic masseuse, which vary by region and board: MA: Massage Assistant ? MPA: Massage Parlor Assistant ? MT = Massage Therapist MP = Massage Provider I believe that on CERB, the most common abbreviation is MA. However, I only know this because that's what the masseuses on CERB call themselves in their posts. There is no mention of this at all in the abbreviation list. I believe it should be added to the list.

I also agree with everything that Megan said. I'm in Montreal and her advice is equally valid here. Find a good independent MA with an all-inclusive fee and then let her take charge - as my favorite MA states on her website: "I'm in charge of the session. All I ask of you is that you lie back, relax, and let me take care of you"

When discretion becomes trickery
RobX replied to Isabella Gia (Banned)'s topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Here's one example, among many, of a scenario where it may make sense not to reveal your handle when making an appointment: A member may enjoy conversing online with a certain SP, in forums, chat and via PM. If he makes an appointment with her, using his handle, and the appointment doesn't go well, he may still feel pressure to write a positive review/recommendation, just to preserve the online relationship, which would be totally unethical. Making an appointment without revealing one' s handle avoids placing oneself in such an untenable situation. -

Sensibilities around nudity in a massage salon
RobX replied to RobX's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I"m not sure I follow you. Swingers probably don't feel embarrassed about being in the nude, and they certainly enjoy sex. And nudists probably get as excited about having sex as much as everyone else. One of the aspects of erotic massage that is different from seeing escorts is that when you first meet the masseuse, you are in the nude - either you're still in the shower when she enters the room, or you are drying yourself off, or are sitting or lying on the massage table in the nude. At that point in time, you are feeling a lot of things, but embarrassment is NOT one of them. And the fact that you do not feel embarrassment certainly does not diminish the experience you are about to have. I really don't think it makes any sense for a potential client or masseuse to be embarassed about being in the nude in front the person you could be sharing an erotic massage experience with the next day. However, it is different matter entirely to find yourself nude in front of the receptionist, precisely because this is not at all an expected behavior. -

The seat predictions based on the same Ipsos-Reid survey shows a even more incredible and scary picture: Conservatives: 201 seats (the largest majority since Brian Mulroney) Liberal : 53 seats NDP: 48 seats Bloc: 4 seats Green: 0 seats The regional numbers in the same poll are as stunning, with the NDP leading the polls in Quebec for the first time in history, but because of the distribution of the votes, mosts seats in Quebec expected to go the the third and fourth place finishers (Conservatives and Liberals), with the Bloc loosing 90% of their seats!: NDP: 28% Bloc: 27% Conservatives: 24% Liberals: 20% It all seems too incredible to believe! Projection shows Tories would win 201 seats for strong majority http://www.canada.com/life/Projection+shows+Tories+would+seats+strong+majority/4657941/story.html -
The title of this thread will make a bit more sense once I explain. The motivation for this thread comes from two very recent massage session experiences of mine. I recently had a massage session by an indy masseuse at an appartment she shares with other indys, who use the appartment as an incall massage location. After the massage we switched rooms so that we could take a shower together in the larger walk-in shower. This room had previously been used by one of the other MPAs who had just finished a session, and who still in the nude. The timing of the switch was a bit off so we caught a glimpse of each other in the nude, and she ran into one of the bathrooms. Under most circumstances this would be normal behavior. But in this case I could book an appointment with her next week, and we would both be in the nude together. Or I could have already seen her previously. Was her reaction normal expected behavior that has to do with sensibilities around nudity in front of strangers, or was it rather silly given the circumstances? I also had a similar experience more recently in a massage salon. I had booked an appointment with an MPA. When I got to the salon, the receptionist explained that the MPA had not arrived yet, and was stuck in traffic. She brought me to the room. I took a shower and waited for the MPA in the nude. Soon there was a knock on the door. I thought it was the MPA, but when the door opened it was the receptionist who had come to explain that the MPA had called and would be a few minutes more. I instinctly tried to cover up a bit, but I was not really embarassed. It would be a bit silly to be embarassed for being nude in an erotic massage salon! However, after the session, when I left the receptionist was not at the front desk as usual, and I let myself out. This has never happened before. Now I'm left wondering. Was she embarassed by the situation? Does she think that I was embarrased? I'm not sure what to think now? And the previous experience I mentioned above makes me think that maybe this is a bigger deal than I realize. Or maybe I'm overthinking it. Maybe the receptionist was just busy elsewhere and couldn't see me out as she normally does. Should I email her about it, or just pretend it never happened? Any ideas?

personal stories and threads re: sexual health
RobX replied to VedaSloan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
My sentiments exactly! Unfortunately, there are certain circumstances where negativity sometimes wins out, and this may one. I'm willing to bet that anyone reading this post will now be much more hesitant to post "personal stories" on CERB, at least for awhile. And we also now have to be more careful about how we use the word "family"! -
I think that personality also encompasses conversation. The results of the poll would seem to indicate that conversation is one of the least important factors, having scored so low. However, that probably does not reflect reality. Personally, I voted for personality, and conversation during a session is very important to me. I selected personality because it is more broad a category, and includes chemistry, attitude, enthusiasm, conversation and more.

I fail to see why having an SP ask for a review is such a serious offense, especially when she gave such fantastic service. To me, it is similar to a colleague, whom you respect, asking for a job reference, or a contractor who did an excellent job for you asking if he could give your name as a reference. Would you then vow never to use that contractor's services again?
