While we are in this 28-day lockdown, I wanted to express my thanks to some dancers that I may or may not see again (all are present or past). Barefax: Tamika, Grace, Sophia, Sally, Trina, Theo/Precious and others Pigale: Tiffany, Maya, Maude, Josee (from way back), Diamond (ditto), Jessica, Amelia, Cashmere... Playmate: Adora, Bianca (brunette), Ashley Taboo: Annie, Ginger, Michelle... I'm sure there are many others that I have forgotten. Sigh... Anyone else have any favorites? -W10

I was being more than a bit glib when I was saying I would laugh in their faces at a $12 cover - I just think that the answer for a club that may be having problems getting customers through the door to sell them overpriced beer is to charge them extra for the privilege of buying said beer. People are being more frugal and cautious in this uncertain economic climate. I realize that establishments need to make money, but there is a limit, and this is mine.

Is NuDen still charging $12 cover? If so, I need to make a point to drop by, get asked for the $12 cover, then laugh in their face and leave just so they get the message. -W10

I have only had experience in Ottawa since 1990, but the one on Bank near Sunnyside was called Cheeks. There was also Club 61 in Aylmer and the short-lived Palladium d'Or (above Taboo in Gatineau in the early 2000s, I think). Is there still one in Casselman? I haven't heard of that one in a while. Also, Barbarella's used to be on Bank near Fanny's and Diamond's was on Queen (or was it the other way around?), then they merged to be Diamonds/Barbarella's on Queen.

That's the one. She and Foxy are quite the pair at the Christmas party this afternoon.

For any fans of Tiffany, I overheard her telling a customer today that this is her last week at Pigale and she is retiring from dancing.

Is Ginger (formerly of Taboo) dancing here now? Would like to meet up with her again...

Tuesday PM at about 5, Adora is here (haven't seen her in a while).

I saw Adora there last week (Thursday afternoon, I believe).

Today (Apr 18) the club is cordoned off due to the police investigation.

Amen - Maya should have her thong hoisted to the rafters at Pigale like a retiring hockey player. I'm sorry that I did not get a chance to have a 'last dance' with her.

She's a bit hit and miss, she has her regulars that seem to take up a lot of her time. I managed to get an audience with her last Thursday...

So, any comments on Bare Fax discontinuing pints of draft? Last time I was in it was only pitchers or bottles/cans, Not sure what sparked that decision. OK, OK, I'm not really there for the beer, but I liked having the option to get a pint.

If anyone remembers Marisol from about 4 years ago, she is back at the BareFax dancing as Monica now.

I heard from a former Taboo dancer that Frank from Pigale's (formerly of Pigale's? I have a hard time keeping track) is buying Taboo and is planning to do some renos soon. Will have to see if that actually happens...

Saw Mandy at the Playmate today, shortly after 6pm.
