Which One is the Funniest?
Soleil Sublime replied to Soleil Sublime's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have to be honest and say I have had a HUGE crush on Family Guy and American Dad creator, Seth McFarlane forever. He's so cute and smiley! (I think he's also ridiculously wealthy, which only adds to his charm!) lol Just kidding! I meant to say ridiculously talented. -
I don't watch television, but I do own a lot DVDs. I love animated comedy for adults and I'd like to know which animated series is the funniest to you?

I realize where you're coming from with this thread, but when you generalize, like you just did, you have to be prepared for some backlash. Or at least an oppositional opinion. I have never, ever, ever asked any client, friend or not, for any extra money. Yes I have some serious financial difficulties and debt. Some due to education, some due to getting taken for a ride myself, some due to home repairs I had no choice but to fix and some due to foolish decisions. However, why should my financial short-comings become a client's problem? If I were a client, I'd be offended if my SP asked me for additional money. It's gauche, tacky and inappropriate as far as I'm concerned. If I can't manage my finances and arrange a suitable pay-back schedule, then that's my problem. Not my client's.

So true Spike and so eloquently put. I learned a lot by seeing Big Al, and feel exactly this way about him. -
This is a perfect example of why I have no use for Facebook and why I canceled my profile.

Exactly Mod! I live in a bilingual province and I myself am half French and Dutch. I was raised as a French Roman Catholic Canadian, and yes, I speak French. But for heaven's sake Quebec! We get it. French is your official language and we understand the importance of having it displayed on all your products. But was it really worth it? I think the only thing it did was send a message to the rest of us that Quebec cares more about its' 'principles' by spending 6 YEARS on this 'crucial' matter, than it does about the welfare and protection of its own people. I think all that money could've easily been spent elsewhere. Come on Quebec, pick your battles!

I actually drove 8 hours to see a 24 year old virgin with Cerebral Palsy a couple of months ago. He had emailed many other SPs, but apparently I was the only one who responded. We exchanged emails for months beforehand, due to his excitement and inexperience. When I finally got there, I met one of the sweetest, kindest and warmest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I mean this guy was an inspiration to me. He had nothing, (couldn't move his hands properly, couldn't walk and was wheelchair-bound for life). Yet, he rarely stopped smiling, he was generous and thoughtful and most importantly of all, I made a dear and special friend. It didn't occur to me, when I received his email, to say no. Just because he got a shitty hand dealt to him, in my mind, doesn't exclude him from needing to be held, caressed and cared for. I say do it Erin! Remember that each one has special needs, and one of those is to be touched. The disabled, I found, need it more than most. -

Ok, I'm pretty nervous/excited about this. I'm booked and confirmed to come to Ottawa from May13-19. There are a plethora of men from here whom I know live in Ottawa, that I'd LOVE to see. No pressure or anything guys, but it'll be mostly up to all of you to make my first trip as an SP a memorable one! I hope many of you are happy I picked Ottawa.

One of the main reasons I chose to stop watching television almost 10 years ago. The commercials were driving me insane, I hated being told what to think, I don't trust the News because the stations are owned by corporations and finally, even with a satellite, there was rarely anything good on! True, I'm on my computer a lot more often, but no T.V. helps me get things done and live life. It is a struggle in the winter though, especially here in Winnie! -
I just threw down a stupid amount of money on these 2 items. I did a lot of research and apparently Liberator is a good brandname for these sorts of things. Has anyone ever tried either of these items out? They should be coming in a week. The only reason I bought them is to make things a little different for my clients, than just doing it on my bed. Looks like I can even tie someone to the Ramp...or be tied there myself! I'm thinking the possibilities could be endless... Appointments-means appointments
Soleil Sublime replied to Emma Alexandra's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
When I first started out, which incidentally is a year ago today, I used to receive calls with a half hour to an hour's notice. I used to do as many as possible, which weren't that many as I HATE to rush. But because I didn't know any better, I figured this is just how it is. Now, don't get me wrong, if I can, I will do a last minute request. However, after building my reputation for the last year, I'm finding (thankfully) more and more clients are booking far in advance, which I love. It gives me time to send a couple of emails, maybe a phone call or two, and by the time the appointment rolls around, I'm not nervous or anxious because we've provided ourselves a bit of time to soak it all in, ask questions, find out each other's preferences, and most importantly of all, ENJOYING THE ANTICIPATION! That's the difference I think. With a new client, whether he be in town or not, it's essential you build some sort of foundation with a newbie so you can ensure the session goes exactly how the client wants it to. Not necessarily guaranteeing a repeat session, but at least giving the client the ride of his life during that one magical hour. It is possible with a little communication. The anticipation of an appointment booked in advance works both ways, believe me.- 31 replies

Playmate of the Month
Soleil Sublime replied to Cara Silver's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
There once was a man named Jack Who couldn't control his cack He took it along whereever he went Not caring how much money he spent To ensure, he'd be getting it back -
Sounds to me like your friend is a healthy, virile young man. His wife should be thankful that her husband isn't impotent or suffers from some other penile dysfunction. So instead of making the guy's entire day, by perhaps slipping under the covers and helping her husband take down his pup tent; she berates and ridicules him first thing in the morning? Yeah, I agree, time for a divorce. Life's too fleeting to live with a monster.
