I find the same thing lately too. Tin eye used to be my go to, but it rarely gives me any results these days. For those who haven't used google for this, simply right click on an image and click "search google for image". (Works with Chrome anyway. Not sure about the other browsers.) Super easy and effective.

Wow. Pretty angry post. Yes, it sucks getting ripped off. There is in fact a great scene here but yes, you absolutely have to do your homework. The onus is on you, not the rest of us to make sure it doesn't happen to you. If you are going to blindly call the number from the first ad you see on LL without researching it at all, then... well ... a fool and his money.... This site is a good tool, but it is only one of many. Google image search, googling her name, googling phone numbers, looking at other sources,...All very useful. Taking a stroll on Windmill Rd?.... Well certainly not my cup a tea. Dangerous for a number of different reasons. No thanks! You can have it.

It's my understanding that the site originated as lyla.com back in the late 90's. This predates me here but I remember reading this at some point. It was already cerb.ca when I started here almost a decade ago. The new laws in 2014 made it risky to have a .ca site of this nature. Since they already owned the lyla.com domain, they switched back. (Simple 4 letter ".com" domain names that are spelled as they sound are hard to come by these days.) Again, just telling it as I remember it being explained when they made the switch back to lyla.com. Someone correct me if I am wrong on the details. 🙂 It would be interesting to hear if anyone has a more detailed history.

It is still there but it only exists from a PC. When viewing from a mobile, the search button takes you away from that forum to a general search page. There is no "search this forum" option because you are no longer actually in that forum anymore. I did manage to figure out how to search a specific forum from that search page on a mobile, but it is a bit complicated. You need to change it from search "all content" to "topics", then go to the forum drop down menu, then go and find the forum you want to select, which is quite cumbersome. Seems to work but not very practical for general use.

You can do an image search on any pic to see where else it is being used. Right click on a photo and choose "search google for image". If it pops up all over the world, then it is likely stolen. Good luck.

I share the frustrations, although I find it has improved a lot since the original changeover. For me the major issue is that it is still so difficult to do searches. This is so important to a site like this. It is so much harder to find information on sp's which is the main reason a lot of people come here. It's possible to search a specific discussion forum for posts from a laptop or a PC, but very difficult from a mobile. (Which statistically is by far the most common way of viewing sites now.) Even on my laptop, the results are confusing as it will bring up multiple posts from the same discussion, but at least I'm not searching the whole site for information on a local lady like I would be on a mobile. The recommendation threads have the same difficulties. People can post in them but it's really hard to search them. This not only makes them far less useful, but results in multiple threads for the same lady as posters will simply start a new thread instead of finding and adding to existing ones. This only adds to the confusion. I did really like the old version's alphabetical listings, although even more important is the ability to search by name in the forum. I avoid using the site from my mobile when I can because of this now, which means less opportunity to use the site. I think better search functionality should be the number one priority for improvement in the site. Not a lot of point in a recommendation site if you can't actually search for recommendations. Just click on the words: "Halifax (and other areas of NS)" It will open them up in bullet form like the old format. It doesn't seem to make sense to require the extra click here but if there were more than 1 area in NS to choose from, it would make more sense. (Look at the the way the Ontario section is broken down. It has many to choose from, that you can then click further on and open up.) Hope this helps.

Short answer is that it completely depends on the lady. I had an experience recently where I paid for the hour. I was rushed through the process and rushed out the door. I found myself in the elevator leaving the hotel after less than 25 minutes which included a quick shower when I had gotten there. Assumed it was just me. (most technology issues turn out to be.) The "Search In" filter is there on my laptop, but not when I use my phone. Lots of other filters come up like "Content type", "Find Results that Contain", "Date Created", etc, but I can't find a way to select the forum. Makes it difficult when looking for info on a specific lady.
